Whole FSL concept is all arms about face to me it’s simply treating the effect and not the cause.

Whilst Bosman did many good things the balance of power went too far. My old man supports the team Bobby Charlton played for! Yeah, i know we never speak.

However, my old man assures me when Bobby Charlton signed his first contract at you no where he was on no more money than a bricklayer or plumber at the time, players relied on cash left in their boots and a testimonial and usually went into coaching or ran a pub to pay for their retirements.

Now we have Pogba looking for £500k a week, or else he’s off. Salary cap should have been enforced years ago.

Supported by a PFA organisation who pay their CEO a million a year! For what?

Parking the saintly six for one minute Fifa and uefa are no bastions of integrity and we still have approx two thirds of revenue going to that corrupt organisation rather than the majority shared equally amongst the teams.

Therefore, nothings actually been fixed has it? It doesn’t TOUCH the combined debt of those wonderful founder members which currently exceeds £7.5 Billion!

Now this may have created some leverage to getting them a bigger piece of the pie but it’s NEVER going to be enough with the largesse and greed that exists in these clubs predominantly driven by many players and their disgusting agents all making sure their full time PR team ensured they were seen to condemn the idea five mins before they pulled out. (James Milner aside)

So this ain’t gone away it’s a runaway economic disaster of a football model aligned to a global c.v. that says the can has just been kicked down the road for a bit.

Sooner or later bills have to be tallied or fans will see just how much these trough hugging owners have stripped out of these clubs.

This battle may be won but the war is far from over i fear especially if salary caps, agents aren’t sorted.

I agree Class, however, the problem is enforcing such a cap. The rich clubs will just break the rules anyway as Man City and Barcelona and worm out of punishment or just use inventive ways such as giving property or other assets to supplement wages and avoid punishment that way. Its not just the players - agents get paid a stupid amount of money and football can't afford to pay them that kind of money. It needs revamping from the top down and organisations like UEFA and FiFA are also charging silly money to add not a great deal of value but line their own pockets.

The Dirty Dozen Closed Shop Super League announced a salary cap.

It was one of the few things of their proposals that wise and salary caps must be implemented

As for a future ' war' Class, this is NOT god forsaken blighted America, this is England and Europe such as Germany, France very different culturally with centuries of true sporting tradition,

I maybe wrong but genuinely can't forsee the PR distater owners of the Dirty Dozen ever winning this war of specifically their essential criteria a CLOSED SHOP League where founding members can never be relegated ;

that is a fundamental doomed fatal flaw that would most definitely be forever vigorously contested by fans, football authorities etc and I believe also crucially in litigation and sanctions by governments.

Truly hope you’re right Baz for all those loyal fans off all clubs, but football clubs cannot be immune from paying the piper indefinitely what other business could sustain that level of debt the numbers are beyond comprehension.

I know of now enforced cap in place just now in the existing leagues if these owners do not dig in their pockets to fill the hole what will do it. The likes of Arsenal, Spurs even Liverpool making the CL how will the hole be filled.

Personally i’m unable to make the leap of the sincerity of these crocodile reared apologies.

The fay of reckoning has to come sooner or later or these clubs could fold when you think Spurs could clear their 1.2bollion debt in three years in the trough league how long will it take them outside of CL.

Magnificent achievement by all fans but the masters of greed and deceit remain in power?
