Quick update on Mateusz Bogusz. He was on the bench for the home match v Oviedo, coming on for the last half hour. Disappointingly it was two Oviedo subs who changed the outcome, combining in the 72nd minute for the equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

Any concerns that it had been Javi Lara, the man who started ahead of Bogusz, that had opened the scoring in that match, were quickly dispelled when Bogusz started in last weekend’s home game v Burgos. And he took little time to return to scoring form, with a 15th minute 30+yard scorcher, bending beyond the keeper’s reach into the top right corner. Imagine him and Joffy playing together for us - opposing keepers would be on tenterhooks all match every time one of them was on the ball within 40 yards of the goal. He was taken off just before the hour mark as part of a planned double substitution, and Ibiza extended their lead 20 minutes later, to close out a 2-0 win, leaving them 4th in the table after 7 matches. Next up is a match at 6th placed Eibar.
