Radz wouldn't be spending like a drunken sailor unless KP or/ and Raph weren't going out the door.

I reckon we will be making a net transfer profit by the time it all washes out and Radz will be able to stick a few Million in his pocket to help with some of his other endeavours and keep him in the manner to which he is accustomed.

I personally don't have a problem with that!

For me we should sell KP now - he is not going to get any better and to my mind is somewhat over rated and keep Raph till after world cup.

Yes I agree although we have hardly broken the bank so far. 2 signings and 35mil is a small amount for a prem club that desperately needs to rebuild.

I don’t get where KP is overrated and that we should cash in on him. We will definitely be worse off without him and I don’t know why fans can’t see that. The stats will tell you that, when watching a game try just focusing on him and not the rest of play, I’ve done it several times, then you will know why he is so sought after.
We are very lucky he is a Leeds fan through and through and still with us.

1970 - the current investment in players will be coming from both Radz and the 49ers investors, and if there is a net profit on transfers (which there may not be) all or most of that is more likely to go into funds for the stadium development plans etc. And yes, selling KP now and Raphinha post-World Cup would seem a sensible way to go forward.

Don’t think KP is overrated, however, just as I always maintained that without the injuries Bielsa would have kept us up, it was Bielsa that honed KP into the player he is today.

Different systems require different players and whilst I’d much rather keep KP, but as a realist when Citeh come knocking, I think the outcome is generally inevitable.

Therefore, sentiment must be parked and we thank KP for the memories and we cash in to the tune of two or three new players Roca and an Adams type to replace him in central midfield, ideally Roca and Gallagher.

Think we would all recognise KP’s recent injury record is not great, so we need to look after our interests first and foremost and certainly would not begrudge KP securing his future and winning some silverware.

OP - I absolutely love having KP at Leeds. I’d agree that he is not overrated, as non-Leeds fans generally seem just to see him as a bog standard DM who likes to tackle, and don’t notice his technique, vision or passing abilities etc. Yes the statistics do tell a story of what he brings, and also what a huge drop-off in our performances and results when he’s not been available. It is the latter that actually helps to convince that it may be time for KP to move on, because there have been too many times when he’s not been available, and can we really afford to be missing such an important player so much. Might it not be better for him to move to a club which has sufficient resources to be able to rotate KP, and thereby help safeguard him from such regular injuries, and for us to gain funds to bring in players better able to withstand the physical demands which will continue to be placed on members of our first team squad - wirh hopefully sufficient funds to contribute to an increase in our squad depth.

To me it's not about him being overated or not it's about him being at his peak value right now.
I don't think he will get better than he was under Bielsa and his value is as high now as it will ever be.
I'd take 60 mill for sure and seriously consider anything over 50 mill.

I do believe now that MB’s high energy style of play and training caused constant injuries throughout our squad, including KP. He’s not suddenly become a sick note. However, if Leeds do bring in Roca it’s quite possible that he would be seen as KP’s replacement as he is a like for like player.
But, there still has been no bid from Pep, the journo’s are constantly telling us it’s going to happen, how do they know and why has there been no official approach? also where is the interview where KP says he wants to leave?
I’d rather cash in on Raph than KP, Phillips is Leeds Utd, it’s madness to want him out.
