I mentioned this the other day and it's looking more likely, with arsenal pulling out of the race and nobody prepared to meet the asking fee I think Raphinia will down tools and either stay and be a waste of space or force a cut price move to Barcelona . We aren't getting 65 for him it just isn't happening.

What's the story with Gooners pulling out Mights?

Haven't seen or heard that anywheres yet!

I doubt he would down tools his ego and love of playing would surpass not playing/ downing tools.

It depends on the fee offer but if its ridiculously low. losers to accept it . Levy wouldn't accept less than £80,million . it will set a dangerous precedent for Leeds Radz Orta being very soft touches to all clubs.

Has Raphinha put in a transfer request?, We know he is looking to leave with Barcelona as his preferred choice. Not sure he would down tools if his move doesn't come off, but he can be a bit of a sulker at times. His agent Deco appears to be the driving force for the Barcelona move, but maybe they have other players they prefer. Personally I would prefer to see him move abroad and except £40+ million than see him playing for another English premiership club and holding out for another 5 or so million more, I don't believe we will get £65million for him from any of the British teams.

If Raph stays don’t worry about his attitude or his performance. With a World Cup on the way he will be busting his balls to get in the Brazilian team. So expect plenty of goals n assists next season!

Mighty - the story of Arsenal pulling out of the race originated once AGAIN from a ‘report’ Barcelona fanzine SPORT. A work of fiction AGAIN.

With Barcelona being strapped for cash, they need to add value to their offer through the addition of players. We need to be looking closely at who they have who would be solutions to the gaps in our first team, and pressing hard to get them included. We are still in the driving seat here, not Raph, not Dickhedo, and certainly not Barca.

Brighty, the problem is the players of decent quality in positions we need to fill would seem to be either older than we’d be wanting to buy and/ or on too high a wage. There’s some good B team midfielders (Jandro Orellana, Alvaro Sanz and Nico Gonzalez) on the cusp of breaking into the first team, but we would really need more experienced players, to both constitute adequate value make-weights in the deal and help us kick on next season. The same would apply to promising forward Angel Alarcon, plus he’s still coming back from an injury which prevented his possible first team breakthrough last season. Had he not just gone to Club Brugge, striker Ferran Jutkla might have been worth some consideration.

It’s all clickbait and paper talk. Believe whatever happens as and when it’s happened.

Agreed Clu. At a push you could get me to take Dest for his versatility, but would rather take the money and but someone we actually want and not offered.

At the end of the day, the bottom line will be that if they can’t bring a deal to the table, in whatever form it comes, they will be told to eff off. Orta doesn’t easily tolerate bull****. (Competition on number of clichés per post. ???) .

The good news is that it looks evident that Radz and Orta are digging their heels in on Ralph’s price.
I have a feeling that this transfer is only now starting to ramp up and there could be some interest coming in from the elite clubs, when I mean elite I don’t mean Arsenal!
