Just my opinion, but when last season ended I think most if not all LUFC fans thought the two positions above any others that required strengthening were LB and Striker. Losing Raphina and Philips were inevitable, so it was good to see us make signings quickly to boost the squad. But with only three days to the big kick off and the the two main requirements not resolved, for me it is quite worrying, as a good start is crucial for us. I can only hope VO is close to making signings to plug these two glaring weaknesses. UTW.

I thought CM definitely needed addressing moreso than any other position.

I'm thinking the progression of Gelhardt and Greenwood has eased striker worries to some extent so hasn't been seen as a priority.

LB a definite priority now and was at the start of the window.

I wouldn't be totally against Harrison going to the Barcodes and replacing him with Cornet who can cover both the wing and full back positions.
Leave it at that if we think Firpo will come good or still get in another LB if not.

Dill I don't fink you can assume that from a lad who hasn't even scored 1 goal yet albeit 7-8 appearances for us that he's going to contribute 10 or so this season

We are crying out for goals from a ready made goal scorer.

No, I agree Chris, I think we do need someone else, but just thinking out loud what the board may be thinking. Hiwever, I do think those 2 will see a lot more minutes this season to help spread the goal burden a bit more.

I personally thought midfield was most important and should have been strengthened last summer so was pleased to see that happen. Of course we have since possibly weakened the midfield by k3tting Philips go and definitely weakened outer attack so for me we need more quality buy I wouldn't be shocked if we don't get anyone with our skinflint owners.

Hope your right Dill pal ? it would be great to see the youth leather in a shed load of goals this season, we really need to maximize our possession / chances a lot more this season
