Lost but still in 5th spot. Had a wee think.
Negative: We lack depth and are susceptible to injuries weakening the team/squad quite adversely.

Positive: Great defence. Even with only 10 men they couldn't break us apart from penalties and the second of these was dodgy. With our full first team on the pitch I believe every other club will fear us.

Still shy of Hernandez, Bridgetand O'Keeffe and given the points differential, automatic promotion will be a hard ask. However if we have a good January in the market and strengthen the squad, add some rue depth, there is every reason to believe we a will be top 6.

If WE are in the playoffs then I firmly believe WE will be the ones to beat. 2017 will see us return to the tier we belong in.

Believe playoffs a given
Didn't see anything in Brighton to think they are not catchable. Newcastle looked good but not Brighton. We are a fair bit behind but plenty of time. We didn't play well really. We had a few players under performing inc green. Wood and roofe. Lots of stray passes too. We don't want to upset the apple cart too much in Jan but crying out for a solid goalie and a striker that makes defenders nervous. Vierra played well and is improving every time I see him.

Agree about the keeper. Green makes me nervous with every cross. He should have covered the ball that led to Phillips' red card.

What we need in January is another winger, striker, another AM and maybe an experienced CM. Need cover for Pablo badly as we've really missed him and neither Phillips or Mowatt have the game to play there. We need an experienced CM in case of injuries, someone like Charlie Adam maybe. As for winger and striker, Nathan Dyer and David Nugent are not getting games and would be great loan signings for the end of the season.

have to disagree, of course we have missed them but considering we have not had o'kane, bridcut or hanandez think results have been quite good really. What we need more than anything is a goalkeeper, would say backup forward for wood but not sure it is easy to get a champ back up forward who would be worth while signing.

Just watched game. Ok. Good points We didn't fold and were always capable of sneaking a point. Until second pen Roofe. Vierra. Taylor. Pontus. All good We worked hard and to be honest. 11 v 11 we would have got 1 or 3 points out of it. Bad. Green. going to cost us more and more. Getting worse and worse. Cringe every time a cross comes in Bartley. Does good things but also big not so good. From what I seen. More liability than bonus. Wood. Errrr. Fork king useless. Always has been. Always will be. But Brighton will do well to finish above us. Very poor. Two signings. Creative. And striker. And we up.

our last seasons and this seasons top scorer useless. must be sun stroke mate, you can not judge wood on last night he had nothing to feed on, even arguro or costa would of done nothing last night. I love wood and long live wodd.

He missed a sitter right on stroke of halftime that would have given us a lifeline and it was the best chance of the match. Got to be putting them away .

the sitter. you mean the miss hit shot that he was not expecting that fly past him without him having time to adjust. oh right that sitter. what a mug he should of scored at least seven then.

Good striker would have buried that. Stead of moaning about it. I can judge him on all the games I've seen. He has been useless in every one. Gave the ball away a lot. Good strikers can create some goals themselves. He is clueless.

Disappointing loss last night which was of our own making as Brighton are not as good as us. Great we showed lots of spirit and effort, didn't fold after going down to ten men which would have happened last season. Monk is the best thing that's happened to Leeds for yonks, his coaching nouse and understanding of his squad and tactics is for all to see. Would like us to bring a keeper, defender, and either Zac Clough or Rhodes in to turn more of our attacking opportunity into goals as it is more clinical finisher that will get us promoted. Credit to Wood and his efforts so far this season. Feeling well opptomistic for promotion and things generally.

The thing that struck last night was how Brighton look dangerous going forward and even when we are winning games we just don't look as dangerous and even though Wood has scored enough goals he never looks dangerous.

The boys battled well when down to 10 men playing against 12 men 😁 we really miss Pablo and could do with O'Kane and bridders back fit, even though we had an off night I don't think they would have beaten us had we had 11 on the pitch, we do need additions in Jan competition for green and wood and also a playmaker IMO. Disappointed with the result but still very optimistic for the season, will be in the peacock for the Brentford game after 3 weeks on me jollies had a great time people mot 😎.

Whilst very happy with our season overall, I cannot help but think that to take that next step we need to get rid of Rob Green. Apart from his obvious blunders, his indecisiveness surely is having an effect on what is our best defensive 4 in years. He does not command his box unlike the respective keepers at Newcastle and Brighton. My concern is the message GM is sending out by continuing to stand by him. Silvestri is not perfect but he must be thinking how do I get into this team. A new keeper is on my list to Santa along with contracts for Pontus and Kyle and a bit more game time for Antonsson.

agree silvestri is better than green in every department but gm obviously don't fancy him so new keeper is no1 prorioty green is the worst keeper in the league.

He was awful against Brighton. Worst I've seen. Don't think silv is the answer either. Need that sorting out.

The first thing I feel is dissapointment; that we were a bit sloppy in our passing and not as tight as we can be. No one stood out last night. No one had a good game. The overall impression is that, at best, most were average. Every season there are games where not one but a few players are off colour and play below par. Let's hope that was ours and it is out of our system. I feel for Phillips as his handball was instinctive but a wiser head would have left it and played on with 11. Hopefully he will learn. Where we competed with Brighton and at times took it to them even with 10 men we still looked toothless and did did work their keeper very much at all, with Wood fluffing a couple of decent chances. In these games where you are under pressure for long periods you may only get one or two chances; to be succesfull they must be taken. Surely the outfield work he did "for the team" could be accomplished by many other journeymen from this league or the one below. Maybe we will solve that with the January aquisition of a goal threat (Avenatti etc. ) to put pressure on Wood. Secondly my other feeling is optimism. They are second/first, they had more men, we had important players missing yet we were not outplayed, Whilst automatic promotion will be a struggle (but not out of reach) . There is still a long way to go. Last night was a reality check but I think MCs season ticket refund is safe. Our diplays over the past few games has certainly instilled confidence and bodes well for the rest of the season I think.

The lads worked hard. Just bring Reading on. Already waiting for the next game. All Whites. Can't complain this year. Good work rate and good coaching.

With Phillips out for the Reading game who can fill in that mid field slot? Will Monk be tempted to bring back O'Kane or Bridcutt a bit early? I can't think of anyone else off the top my head. Pity about the loss but good results against Reading and Brentford will change all that.

Mowatt in his favoured CM role? Monk maybe surprised to see what he can do if he plays like we fans know he can.

We can all talk about what if and speculate how different it might be if certain players had been on the pitch etc. Fact is we lost having gone down to ten men. I didn't think Brighton were that much better than us. Hugely disappointed but we got beaten by 2 penalties and failing to convert ourselves. I think the passion and work rate is fantastic. Still a few loose passes. I think Monk had it right but they managed to close us down quickly. It actually seemed to work better when we had a reshuffle having lost Phillips- it scuppered their set up. Just my oppinion. We lost - I was gutted but we should take the positives, onwards and upwards. MOT.

Never ever bet against my own side, but tonight's result was typical of Brighton at home this year. Seen around six home fixtures at the Amex, this season and Hughton has set out the team to be much more solid and conservative in their approach and they are grinding out much tighter results both home and away. Talking to the Brighton boys they were hugely relieved we went down to 10. And most were if the opinion we would be a definite for the play offs. Agree we were missing players especially in the middle of the park but Brighton also missing their best midfielder in Kyal BUT I remain heartened by tonight's result not because we lost but as much as Brighton consider us true challengers this year. couple of additions and key players back let's see where it takes us.
