I dnt agree with all that Cellino does? But let's face facts : if he hadn't come in when he did where would we be now? No one with his worth would throw money at a football club wildly? And if you did you wouldn't have your money very long! I'm nt saying he is the answer to all our probs but he's passionate and the best thing we got at present so to all those who believe the snails one sided views on our famous club and how it run just think how bad it's been in the past and where we are now? Be careful what u wish for? Mot!

So what was wrong with GFH then?, they also never threw money at the club? I remember a lot of the gripe with them was there lack of spending, what changed with Cellino?

What's wrong with GFH?
How long have you got Raggity?
I can't take a fortnight off at the moment, so I'll let someone else fill you in on that one.

is raggity a leeds fan? what is wrong with GFH? MC has not invested in the club same as GFH? with you speedy when I have a spare week I will fill in the missing blanks.

As the two (not so) young lovers have stated. This is time consuming. In shirt, GFH has many different companies within the larger umbrella. They lend money from one part of the business to the other at interest. So they loaned money to us and we end up paying another company within their organisation, with interest. They have charged us with consultancy fees, at rates they fixed. This added debt onto the club. This is something I believe should be looked into by the FL. I.M.O. They used us to make themselves profit. Once they sold to Cellino, they agreed not to take monies owed to them, but take a yearly interest on the debt we owe them. Hopefully this explains why some of us don't count them as friends.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Feb 2016 17:01:36
very good point deda and shows how they work and what they have done. I agree that Fl should look into them but you show your lack of knowledge here Deda why on earth would the Fl do anything that might help leeds in any way? biggest question ever asked on this forum ever I feel?

We are the biggest club in the football league. They may not like us, but would be much poorer without us. If we had gone out of business they would have been partly responsible and lots of their members would be poorer because of this.

Yes I am a Leeds fan in answer to your question, the question was posed as devils advocate . Are GFH Leeds fans no an investment bank, the clues in the name . Is Cellino a Leeds fan, no an Italian business man, why do you think he bought Leeds? When our club is bought by someone with the sole intention of making us a global force again, then maybe we will make progress . At the moment BW you are correct we should just be pleased we are not slipping further into the abyss, how far in the lack we are will only be revealed when / if the club are sold . It's funny how no one is queuing up to buy us . But as fans we like to dream, transfer windows, beginning season optimism, banter with fellow opposition fans telling them we will be back . Then having our dreams and hopes dashed . But that doesn't stop us supporting our club . The day we stop dreaming and hoping for something better than we have been seeing in the Bates era, GFH takeover and now Cellino ownership is really killing the dreams, after which what is there left? So I'll keep on hoping for better days and not be happy or satisfied with mediocrity . MOT.

MC is pure gold to the British press and media! The fact that he owns the Dammed United, Dirty Leeds, etc, they absolutely love it! They can't wait, to get there, hate felt garbage in print and other outlets for all LUFC haters out there to comsume! Granted he does give them bullets to fire at times! The amount of negative harp they spew out is over the top! Blackpools owner doesn't get as much grieve! Unfortunately Leeds fans have bought into this well orchestrated press and football league attack!

I fully understand and agree with all the treading water, posters but a x year plan must be put in place and adhered to.
The start of the plan must be to appoint (and stand by) a strong manager. Maybe we have already done that? I do not know. Then the playing staff must be assessed by the man in charge. Sorry, manager (not owner) and efforts made to move the deadwood and even stronger efforts taken to acquire Quality. It is quality, not quantity we need and SE is making the right noises by saying that we will only go for noticeably Better players.
NB. Is Lafferty that much better than what we already have?
Without this line in the sand and commitment we might as well save this years postings ready for next years use.
All this can be achieved with an outlay of 20mil (inc fees/ wages) but less sales. seems a lot but a drop in the ocean compared to Premier League riches.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Feb 2016 18:40:14
sensible post and agree with a lot apart from the 20 mill part, if it was that easy every club would spend 20m and go up, look at derby spent a lot and got nowhere. The trouble is not spending money and going up it is spending money and not going up which could be a huge problem for leeds. we need a long term plan, we need to aim to compete in this league and aim to try and go up, however this is far from simple and anyone who thinks it is a money problem that throwing money at it can fix might be mistaken.

Agree3 Disagree2

10 Feb 2016 19:01:45
Rather than throw money around in the hope of getting out of this division I would rather us stay where we are and be financially sound improve bit by bit which we seem to be doing if it takes 10 years so be it.

it, s not just about money Brentford last season did much better than us and spent less .
Are recruitment has been dire at times, signing an injured player, Cani who hardly played .
Good players are out there in lower leagues where's the scouting .
To many players have not made the cut, we are very lucky to have the youngsters we have .

Brentford do not have overheads like ourselves. They do have a decent owner and last year had a competent manager. We had a banned owner and 3 coaches. When we started to do well, our assistant coach was sacked.

Well it looks like Cellino has showed his real hand. After reading his comments on the Mail on line I feel sick to the stomach, he says he introduced the pie tax into the response he got from the fans at Elland red when we played Blackburn. He has also said he doesn't hold out much hope of ever getting to the premier league. time to go Massimo.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Feb 2016 18:08:41
Two problems there:

1. You read the Mail
2. You believe what you read in the Mail.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 18:13:48
if this is true, BIG IF being the mail however if this is true he needs to go. HOWEVER and big however to all the MC haters, you have all slagged the man for not being honest, for bidding for players we can not afford, for not addmitting we are skint and for not being honest. no he has come out and said this you are saying he should go. The man can not win can he? should he lie or should he be honest? I think we need a chairman who can see the way back to prem one day, I also think we need a chairman who will lie about current state of affairs between you me and this site I think prem in under 5 years is unrealistic and over ambitious however I do not want a chairman to tell the truth and admit this.

Agree2 Disagree3

10 Feb 2016 18:43:40
If you read other on line newspapers you will see the comments are in the other newspapers and they are running the same story. Bermondsey I have said on many occasions he should tell the truth, however to state he introduced the pie tax as a result of the negative chants from fans at the Blackburn game is completely taking the pee and goes to show the type of chairman he is. Are you saying the introduction of the pie tax is right and fans who were at Saturday's game should pay the £40 for Seats in the south stand, I thought you more than others would understand this point especially as you have stated you can't to go to as many games as you would want due to finances and family commitments.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 19:00:47
oh yeah the pie tax thing I am 100% behind and think that is bang out of order. I am far more forgiving of this than bates GFH though simply because the answer is don't buy a pie where as other chairman selling players and raping club is harder to stop however this is still no excuse and not acceptable. My comment was more on the comments. I don't want to be lied to. he should be honest. he should say if the club has no money and is skint. why go for players that are not realistic it builds false hope with fans. so he comes out and is honest and says prem is unrelaistic and don't think we will get there and gets slated. pie tax is joke but how can the man win when it comes to being honest about our ambitions he can lie and get slated or be honest. and get slated what is your view on this particular point shag?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 19:04:13
Don't bother Bermondsey shag just wants ridsdale back.

10 Feb 2016 19:05:21
Can't defend the pie tax actions, total disrespect for paying fans.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 19:09:30
Think the extra charge is out of order. But then so was the behaviour of some fans towards his family. Not defending the guy but if anyone had threatened my wife and children then I got abuse from a section of fans I would be pissed off as well. The FACT is he owns the club and he is not going away soon so we can support evans and hope cellino backs him in summer. No one is scared of coming to ER any more, in fact they look forward to it. Get behind the team.

Agree3 Disagree1

10 Feb 2016 19:51:16
100% agree Bige, nobody should put up with that type of behaviour, however to punish a majority of fans for the actions of a small minority is out of order. If fans have been threatening MC at Gomes he should bar them for life.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 19:51:22
Agree BIGE but reading the transcipt makes it clear the charge was to punish fans for chanting "Massimo time to go". No ones family should be subjected to the abuse they got but his actions were personal against the South stand.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 19:52:54
agree with pie tax being wrong, also agree people tagetting him and family was wrong. if I tired to save a club and they did that would I do something like pie tax. maybe? either way this can be argued but shag has gone quiet like before on my other point about being honest and not being honest ect. I must say shag this has happened a few times. people have found flaws in your logic/ arugeument/ view point and you have ignored that to focus on other points. can you answer some of the other points raised? if not can you be happy and not so negitive for just one day. my little girl who is two keeps singing marching on together and chanting leeds leeds leeds when any football is on (granted most of it is MOTD which we ain't on but she is a girl and 2 so I will let her off) my point is I am starting to feel so negitive about leeds due to constant posters that rather than smile when she sings MOT I get the urge to slap her with a fish and dangle her from a window until she supports a proper London club (but not millwall or Arsenal)

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 20:25:46
Notts I think what happened to his family may have been at the back of his mind when he pie taxed the south stand. As well as the chanting. All I am saying is about time fans got behind the club, we are in a better state than a lot of clubs.

10 Feb 2016 22:50:53
Bermondsey I am very happy with the comments made by Cellino at last he is showing his true colours and is treating the fans with contempt. it's great your young daughter is already singing Leeds songs, two of my kids had season tickets from the age of 4 and now like me they are season ticket holders. I am merely expressing my concerns with Cellino as chairman ( believe it or not I am entitled to my opinions) and as such I share them with other people. Just because my opinion differs from yours doesn't mean I can't share with others. You pass comments on here and some of them Are fair points while some are not so good. Believe it or not we are in a democracy and as such everyone is entitled to have their say. I also read with interest we are still paying Darko Millanich wages every month and he is merely been put on gardening leave and he still has a contract with the club it is decisions like this we have no money to buy players

The fans at Elland rd have shown they are unhappy with the way the team is playing/ performing as they have been booed of the pitch for the last two games, I don't agree with that however the chairman and manager need to take notice as these fans are merely expressing there feelings.

Agree2 Disagree2

11 Feb 2016 01:07:22
thank you shag, I never said you wasn't entitled to your opinion, we do live in a democracy and you are more than welcome to have your say, just as I am mine. The trouble with having you say is people might question it, when an opinion is questioned it is useful to answer the question. You have mentioned a few things which I disagree with. So I try and use logic to back up my arguments for and against. So I was baffled when you posted ' He has also said he doesn't hold out much hope of ever getting to the premier league. time to go Massimo. ' because this (your words not mine) seems a massive contradiction from other thoughts you have given such as ' I am very happy with the comments made by Cellino at last he is showing his true colours and is treating the fans with contempt' this seems to be odd and a bit of a contradiciton so it was questioned by myself. you have said a few strong things on here as have I so when people are passionate they will aruge to get points across (a little bit like a democracy) and on this note I would like to know which of my points are not so good.

I have never said you are not entitled to your opinion. Some I wildly disagree with and pretty happy that I have given my views as to why I disagree and think it is ok to questions some of your points and ask you to explain them further as I value your opinion.

I agree with fans being allowed to voice their discontent (after not during a game) I agree fans can be negiative and give points of view, I also agree that when someone says something that can be seen as a bit of a ricket that other fans can call them up on it and ask them to explain their views.

I don't agree with assumptions as they can be seen as rather shortsighted and rude things such as not going to every game is no way to support this club, and I don't agree with putting words in peoples mouths such as saying I don't think you should have a view and I think you should shut up. again you will now be called up on this where did I say anything to make you think you wasnt allowed a view or opinion or that I think we are in a nazi regime and not a democracy?

Come on Cellino star tieing down our youngsters as I see Bailey Peacock-Farrell is the latest young star being linked with premiership clubs. His contract at the end of the season is up and if we don't sign him up to a longer contract he will be another younger player to leave for a nominal fee.
It is the short sightedness like this is why so many Leeds fans feel the Chairman lacks ambition and it has been proved by the players he has signed he has no clue about the quality of the players bought. Cellino get your head out of your backside and start taking this great club forward.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one . If we'd kept the likes of lennon, milner, Delph, Schmeichel, howson, snodgrass, rose maybe even Bradley Johnson I dare say we'd be a premier league team now . Would we not have been financially better being there than taking peanuts for these players? Surely someone could have said look lads, another year or two and we'd be in the premier league and you'll get your big pay then, playing for a massive club with great fans backing you to the hilt every week . Surely every astute business man would see this makes sense. I'm guessing it doesn't work this way . maybe I am the only dreamer .

I agree and this is what I say to all the MC haters. The trouble leeds had was we had a cockney chairman who hated leeds. he didn't want to see us do well due to the investment that would have to be made and the loan repayments promotion would bring. He just wanted to milk us like a cash cow, maximum profit for no investment/ work. If Mc had been our chairman all those years ago I genuinely believe we would of gone up and MC would of held onto these players and then got better fee for them if we went back down. Now MC has not got half the team that bates had MC but MC has got the debts which must make it hard for him yet some fans I feel miss this point and want to know why we are not chasing promotion. I feel we are not chasing promotion as we are not good enough. To these fans I say, Enough is enough is enough, kop end kop end stand by Leeds, the sun will come out tomorrow and get your freak on.

bates blamed risedale. GFH blamed bates. Cellino blames GFH. If Parkin/or whoever gets the money together for a takeover, they will no - doubt blame MC. The problem with the Cellino lovers is, they ignore every fact going. 1) Cellino picked the players we have now. 2) He hasn't used his own money. Look at the club accounts. We owe Cellino more than £10 million. He has done what GFH did and what bates, riddle and all owners do. They loan clubs money. That is what Cellino has done. No big gesture of kindness. On selling the club like all his predessors,he will re-couperate all monies loaned to him, or like GFH, agree a deal where interest is paid to him and if the club become successful can pay him back. He has chosen the rubbish coaches that he then sacked and we are still paying for. No-one can excuse him bringing in Hockaday.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Feb 2016 14:40:15
Hockaday I am 100% behind you the guy was a joke and I still get an anerisim every time I think about him. I do not know the in's and outs of finances and MC may be just as bad in terms of loans etc. or that may just be the way it is done. but facts that can not be ignored is this. MC unlike the others has a good past record and is a proper football man. also what all MC moaners fail to see are the other facts. MC doesn't flog all of our players for nothing and he has spent on players. Again anyone tell me that is MC had bates leeds squad under grayson we would not of gone up or at least challenged. Bates milked the club MC has not. bates sold players for nothing and spent even less on investment MC has done the opposite. MC is the best we have had for years. getting bit sick of going on about it with some fans. we disagree that is fine. both sides of the argument have vaild points but some fans fail to see how bad a state we were in and how good mc has done compared to others. MC is some fans scape goat for how we are performing and our plight a plight which should be far worse. all fans acting hard done by. no one has it harder than me my local 99p store has changed to a pound land does anyone have any idea how much this is going to add to my yearly shopping bill? yet I am still happier than some doom and gloom merchants on here.

10 Feb 2016 15:31:03
We all know we were not in a good state when Cellino took over. Fact, there was nothing else to milk. I have said before he is not here to rip us off. The man just makes mistake after mistake. Bad coaches, staff at the club, bringing in sub - standard players. The list goes on. Just because he's not as bad as bates (is there any human being alive who is) not in it just for profit, GFH. Does not make him fantastic. If bates is 1 out of 10. GFH are 2/10. Does that mean we should support a 3/10 giving him our uncritical support? If we are skint, just be honest. Don't try to sign, Forriestti and McGreedy, just to be laughed at by agents. Giving false hope is what he is guilty of. Premiership in two years, buying back the ground. This cannot happen if not funded correctly.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Feb 2016 15:55:31
i think MC is more of a 6/ 10 with a 2/ 10 club. ask any claragri fan they would proably put him nearer a 9/ 10. also few fans have said he should not chase players if we can't afford them and should just say we are skint, this is probably the most stupid thing I have ever heard. if any club said they were skint they would never get decent fees for players sold (if fulham knew we were skint we would not of got 11m for RM) also players would all want to go, crowd attendance would drop (making us more skint) , no investors would be interested and no potential player would come in. I don't think anyone in the know thinks we are flush with cash but why would anyone think coming out and being honest would be anything other than a clear disator for leeds? its been mentioned more than once with my sensible answer given so not sure if people disagree or haven't read it or just want to be blind in it due to hate for MC. I don't think he is the messaiha and he can be a very naughty boy but he ain't half as bad as some leeds fans make out. so let's get with wake up be smart look at logic and facts and move on please. pretty please.

Deda. Don't think MC is the messiah and I don't know of anyone on here whose supported him without criticising him and pointing out his many faults. But imo to compare him to Bates is crazy. He's not so far deliberately put us into administration to buy us back for a quid. I think MC is out of his depth, lacks tact, is misguided, has received bad advice and lots lots more. BUT I also believe he is a true football guy who is genuinely trying to do his best. Fair enough, it's not working as yet. But give me him any day of the week over Risdale, Bates, GFH.

As I stated, no-one compares to bates. We all knew why he bought us and unfortunately it took to long to get rid of him. I don't hate MC. 8 might even enjoy a drink with him and MM. Three madmen together. But, it is the constant excuses he makes and others for him as to why he under funds the club. No-one on here wants us to spend money we haven't got. If we don't invest then we have no chance from the start of every season. Not doing so is harming the club. 23,000 against Forest should have been at least 25k and would have been. Not investing is causing apathy amongst the fans. You can invest and re-couperate the money through extra crowds. Also, his comments about the pie tax are disgusting. The way he treats staff is disgusting. He doesn't have the skill to run a club. Not every Cagallri fan thinks he's great. More are glad he has gone than sad.

So then guys I obviously know the Forest game was a bit a go now but I haven't been able to get around to it. So then here is my thoughts: This was disappointing defeat in game IMO we should be winning at ER. ( I am not going to do a full players ratings like I normally do because the game was a obviously couple of days ago and I can't particularly remember how some players played IMO. ( Such as Doukara. ) Which is my fault for not getting around to it. So back on point, I thought we were decent in the 1st half but we couldn't really ( Except one. ) create any golden chances. In the 2nd we were decent till they scored and then our heads went down. And we played poorly or quite poorly for majority of the game that was left. I'll point a few good performers: Bellusci MOTM Bridcutt played quite well Cookie played quite well. For me this how much we need a experienced championship striker. (We missed Woody as well. ) We had one good quality chance and we missed it. They had one (With their style of play. ) good chance and put it away. If it it's Lafferty or whichever good experienced championship striker is available. ( Put my opinion about the loan window and Lafferty soon. And my Boro preview. ) Well my weekend unlike my fellow unfortunate Leeds supporters was quite good because my Rugby team Batley Bulldogs won against Leigh 24 22 which was great. But back on point a disappointing defeat but we have to move on, and with Boro coming up at ER it will be a tough game but we will probably play better because we normally do against Top sides and we have a pretty good record against Boro at ER epsically. Onwards and upwards. MOT!

Cook was awful, man marked by Vaughan out of the game. We had plenty of possession but never looked like scoring. Slow paced passing either backwards or sidewards. Played well? Very debatable.
