For the first goal, Cross shouldn't have been allowed, then 3 defenders around sharp and not one tight on him and then Dallas ducks out of the way. It was a great strike but have to defend that play much better. O'kane, phillips, alioski and roofe were terrible and not helping at all.

On a positive note, lassoga goal was well taken and he did play better today, also think 2 CB's good and could form long partnership. Forshaw looks good and I think he needs to be with vieira (if fit) and will then have stronger midfield. Need saiz back big time, how we have missed his creativity and hoping Tyler and eukuban can make a difference.

A fair assessment Shadwell. Let's see if PH can get some improvement into the side and pick up a win next week and steady the ship. If we finish top ten or higher after being in freefall recently there might be something to build on for next season.

Poor from Roofe and De Bock to allow the cross to be made, a poor misdirected header by O'Kane and lack of reaction to the loose ball. My fear would be that with our brittle confidence we would capitulate, however we didn't. We slowly got a foothold in the game without threatening the opponents goal in the first half. In the second we got more support to Lasogga and seemed to be more confident in possession.

Our ability to shoot ourself in our own foot still applies with O'Kane summing up a poor performance by making a mistimed challenge and conceding a penalty. Positives being that 4-3-3 made us look more solid however we still lack the players to support Forshaw in the formation. I was pleased to see us play with aggression to win the ball back higher up the pitch and we were more direct with our play however to benefit from direct play needs another striker up with Lassoga to run the channels because he struggles to do so. Just got to stop making so many individual errors

This is affecting my health and social life. Wife and kids avoid me. Friends keep well away. I eat junk food to numb the recurring pain and anger that comes after almost every game. Nothing goes right. Can't find a park. Can't find my wallet. Makes me more pissed off and the cycle continues. Even when we equalised I JUST KNEW that Sharp would score the winner.

Losing has become such a habit and certainly so predictable, that I'm hoping for a massive asteroid to hit the earth. but with my luck. it would just miss. Another week of gloom and depression and dejection and anger not to mention being avoided by family and friends. Why why why did I chose Leeds when I was ten years old? To any ten year olds reading this. chose your team carefully. You will be stuck with them. You can divorce a woman, but not a useless football team.

I’m with you George and Octo, at the moment if I fell in a barrel of tits I would come out sucking my thumb! I can’t remember the last time I bought a Sunday paper and looked forward to reading our match report! The players look disjointed and they are not playing flowing football like they did in the opening games we had! Also when teams renew their Manager they have what you call a response to the new guy, not us though, still the same, I think we will be lucky to finishe in the top half, to far away and not enough games left to make a difference! I hope I’m wrong! MOT

Consistently inconsistent . I'd imagine hecky is a bit more straight talking than TC Barnsley fans are calling him arrogant . I think they mean " confident". It's a fine line. He'll need the rest of the season to assess what he has and more a few out and a few in Even TC identified the problem, mental toughness, balls, will to win, whatever you call it, we need more of that. We've a soft underbelly.

Sheffield United fans saying that their playoff chances are back on track after today's result if that's the case with the amount of games left if "and I say if" we string a few results together we can maybe be in the hunt again. There are enough games left and players returning every week. Hopefully PH can up the PH levels and put a bit of bite back in us. It's not over till it's over

There's players clearly not good enuff who I really wanna see go. i'd probably say - The striking position concern me as when lassoga goes grot and cibiki clearly not good enough. We going to have to be in the market and spend big to replace woods goals. Probably going to need 2 strikers Full backs wr have ayling berardi de bock and young Player like coyle Denton and pearce so we ok there I think Out Pennington Lassoga Grot Cibiki Alioski Roofe Sako Klich Okane Probably going to need 1 keeper 1 centre back 2 wide players 2 strikers And we have the Japanese lad joining us as well as an additional centre mid

10 Feb 2018 17:30:40
Personally thought we were unlucky not to get a point. It was clear from PH's post match comments that he has a style and type of play he wants the team to adapt to and that will take time. If he gets his way and work rate and a pressing game improves and the skills of Pablo, Saiz and Lassoga continue to show we could see a great base to build on for next season. For me Roofe needs to improve massively, to lightweight and I can't see PH putting up with that. O'Kane and Alioski will also need to put more consistency in their game and as for Sacko I have seen nothing in that man to warrant him wearing a Leeds shirt. Today the centre backs were very good as was Forshaw, Pablo and Dallas. PH came across really well in his post match interview and I am warming to him.

Lassoga certainly has had his critics but we don't really have any other options. I think today he showed willing and if we play him week in week out he will score goals with the right service. Janson Pennington Dallas Foreshaw Hernandez lassoga Worryingly were the only players to take any credit from today. De bock I'm still not sure about Roofe and alioski okane were awful Philips at least plays with heart but perhaps not his best game

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Feb 2018 17:35:16
Agree, de bock does get caught a bit flat footed, and ball watches at times, he does bring balance, but we need more than balance for 2.5 mil. o'kane, alioski and roofe were dreadful, we do have players to fill there boots in Pablo, saiz and viera.

Agree1 Disagree1

AGM In my opinion our British contingent has the passion just insufficient skill. Cooper tries but found wanting. KP tries but inconsistent. Okane misdirected anger and too interested in his humanist wife. The rest are alright. Always liked Dallas, RV and even Roofe. Problem with Roofey is where precisely you play him? If all players demonstrated commitment of Swiss Army Knife we'd be in a better place. Situation reminds me of what George (great first name) Graham used to do before buying a player. He'd evaluate their mental strength. If it was insufficient he declined the purchase irrespective of their talent. Orta don't think like that. Our transfer acquisition system is the problem and I doubt we will ever amount to much until Orta disappears. Interestingly, I believe fans want his termination almost as much as they did Cellino or Bates.

On a positive I liked dallas today, Janson did well again. Foreshaw actually didn't loose the ball he kept it well under pressure. Hernandez looked quality. I think lassoga can do well with right service. I think saiz hernandez and viera need to replace alioski Roofe and okane. When saiz is back. i'd probably put berardi in at RB and maybe put dallas at LB. de bock got skinned too much for my liking. Crap

Is it me or is there something Hadi Sacko contributes that I just cannot see? Dallas at right back is that the last we will ever see of Anita? The lad put in a shift and looked at home at the back which vindicates my suggestion that he was an ideal solution for our left back problem.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Feb 2018 15:28:50

Believable3 Unbelievable4

10 Feb 2018 15:31:12
Defo too soon. Any criticism today can only be pointed towards the players. The second half response was positive, but we had many similar responses from a poor first half under TC, so let's wait and see, eh?

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Feb 2018 14:52:20
Alioski, Roofe and Philips quite today. Lassogo tried hard. Why we persisted with long balls up the pitch beats me ? Not getting enough of a grip in midfield . Though really thought the performance was ok . Once we get all our players back and we adapt our tactics and style a bit we will be much better. Pennington should keep Cooper out on that performance. Do we actually know our best 11 and our best system ? Think that's where TC failed because his best team and style was not suited to English winter type football and game

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 Feb 2018 15:01:45
TC wrong man. wong players, wrong tactics, wrong planning and style. I have ALWAYS said get in players who have grown up in the Championship with mature and ex Premiership players. 1st season back in the Premiership is consolidation and then use the cash to get better players in. This brings in investment etc. But you need a manager, experienced and a draw. Heck will NOT cut it!

Bright that is BS, we were told that the 20 million from the sale of Taylor and Wood would be invested in the team. There was also more money in the transfer kitty. We had the opportunity to buy the experienced type of players but Orta has concentrated on buying development players for the future. Most of any are anywhere near ready to help this current team.

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Feb 2018 16:59:36
Listen. I'm only quoting the man's own words this week, so it quite clearly is NOT BS. we have more clarity now than we have for over a decade. Re read his interviews from this week; they are the only thing I refer to. And do you have the figures for all of the players currently in the first team squad who were signed? No, neither do I. Lasogga loan fee plus wages, Saiz, Hadi, Forshaw, De Bock, Weid, Ekuban. think you'll find with wages, that would be close to the two departures.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Feb 2018 17:51:29
We decide to buy players from abroad rather than championship, when we sold wood, AR stated the money would be invested in the squad. Yes we got in lasogga, but others like cibiki, Grot who have added nothing to the team. Players should and could have been bruoght from the championship Costing simular to them but able to do a job. AR and VO Chose to invest lots of our budget on developement Players this is a fact, and it hasn't paid Off! We brought in some Players in january Window Because we needed to replace some players sho didn't work out, Even then we buy a striker who we still don't play. We had a budget, but it was wasted!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Feb 2018 14:48:22
You know Billy Sharp is going to score against Leeds. He always does. That aside we were poor. We were better in the second half but we were still second best. They were sharper and more comfortable on the ball and made more space in midfield. As I have said Lasogga is an excellent finisher but because of very average players around he doesn't get the service he needs and everybody is calling for him to do all the things his support players should be doing. Wasted in this team. I have never been a fan of Phillips. He is ok, sort of, but is reckless and often second best to anyone he is up against. He was anonymous today except when giving needless free kicks away. O'Kane is better but how many times does he mess up in and around his own box? Too many times. Three times today plus a penalty. Roofe and Alioski are very poor. Enough said about them. Hernandez made a difference when he came on but is let down by his colleagues. Forshaw had a tidy game. Jansson was good and Pennington not too bad. Jury out on De Bok. Looked off the pace early on but was more solid as the game progressed. Overall we were poor but less poor in second half. Never mind the manager this squad isn't good enough. We were saying at the start of the season we can beat anyone in the division now I would say anyone can beat us. I was saying a finish of 8th to twelfth is likely. Now It won't be higher than that but it could be lower. We have not avoided relegation yet- just as well there are enough teams below us to keep us up but any one of them could beat us.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Agree with most of it Hess. The telling statement was that we were poor but less poor second half altho I have always said that we do have a team good enough for the playoffs. The first two things we need are discipline and confidence then we should gain consistency. Just 2 (or 3) wins on the trot and the ball starts rolling. Winning is a habit.

10 Feb 2018 15:37:20
Some players it’s their first season in English football with us, give them a chance, some fans are too quick to judge players and they get hounded out the club, they then end up being regular first teasers putting in good shift elsewhere. Billy barn door Sharp, never had a chance at Leeds to really settle, bloody good striker. Bridcutt, doing good at florist. Agree we have some dross to ship out, Cooper, Phillips, Sacko. Definitely need to invest in all three areas in summer, decent players who know the league and are good over 90 minutes.

Clear for all to see, alioski, roofe and 0'kane are not good e Pugh, how can 0'kane get sent off for head butting, miss 3 games and come back as captain? . what message does that send out,0'kane has been poor all season-sideways and backwards-like a robot. Forshaw looks decent, Pablo at least gave us something out wide. is that 1 point since saiz got suspended?

10 Feb 2018 14:31:59
Better today I thought. On another day could have won. With Saiz in the team I think we would have.

Agree Danum, unlike others. I see positives both from the second half performance, and listening to Hecky after the game. With a bit of time (again) and hopefully stability (again) , I hope to see us move forwards and upwards. Schoolboy penalty to throw the game away.

Pen for them but not us same old story we always playing against 11 plus ref

Believable2 Unbelievable3

10 Feb 2018 15:40:42
You're right Ox. Yet again the ref was a proper joke. One rule for us, another rule for the oppos. If that Evans studs up challenge had been one of ours, it would have been red!

Cannot fault the effort they put in today.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

10 Feb 2018 14:28:57
What effort when the damage was done again we were poor in first half and O'kane the less about him the better.

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Feb 2018 14:32:44
Effort won't get promotion. the new manager bounce? Enough points above Barnsley,2 points above relegation but Hull have a game in hand, to stay up. SEASON OVER! MID TABLE finish.

Lack of discipline again from okane then we sub phillips and leave okane on. Crap. 3 things I've learnt. Okane needs to go and viera come back in and saiz and hernandez need to replace alioski and Roofe.

10 Feb 2018 14:07:35
Why oh why ! O'Kane is Feckin plumb, I have said it time and again, he ain't good enough and gives the ref an easy decision! Rip up his contract

10 Feb 2018 13:30:07
Stand out point from the first half is our naievity while defending, and that's all over the park, not just the back four. Too many getting skinned because they've jumped into tackles and been side stepped; that's schoolboy! And the midfield flanks of alioski and roofe have not covered back enough, allowing too many crosses into the box. Half time riot act I hope!

Same s**t, different day. Billy Sharp 6 games, 6 goals against Leeds. And we call him a hasbeen!

10 Feb 2018 14:20:19
Mezzanine All hasbeens against us look like world class players. I'm sure an old unfit former striker from the 80s could score against us right now. TC made us into a bad side. Will take a season or two to put it right.

How was the challenge on Alioski not a RED card ? studs up and dangerous play, if that were a Leeds player we would be down to 10 men ! There does seem to be bias towards Sheff United from the ref, but no excuses, we have not been good enough and O'Kane is plop

. Tyler Roberts one for the future is it? Not even on bench. Good investment that was then. Think wr will realise over next 6 games it was the players not TC. The quality of player Sheffield United have is much more suited to champ football than ours.
