Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

It looks like the Peter Crouch rumours are now nothing more than that which is a shame as he could have been our new Lee Chapman. He'd score for fun in this league and could be the difference in a mediocre Championship. Even next season after solid top ten finish this season?

Chapman was never the most skill full player but he certainly knew where the old onion bag was, as does Crouchy.

Happy Sunday folks. UTW DTP

No, we need highly motivated players, he should be in the Stoke side but is clearly not pushing hard enough, we have had more than our fair share of loan players at Leeds who just appeared to be here for the pay day, I think Mr Ireland could well fall into that category. However I would be more than happy for him to prove me wrong, I just feel there are better options out there.

Agree sticky but the love of Leeds fans can be massive and turn problem players into heroes.

The omens look good for me in that we always do well with a short, light coloured haired scotsman . Bremner, Strachan and now hopefully Evans . Had been looking out for one to arrive on the pitch, but having one as manager is just as good MOT.

Maybe we got it all wrong? Maybe Steve Evans kissed Byram and got carried away and tongues were involved! Lol that's why Sam wants to leave! Dnt dismiss it? We have history with things going on? Ie cantona being sold to the mancs! Lol.

Notice that Phillippe Senderos is up for a free. Swiss international, lots of experience, played for big clubs and still only 30. I for one would give him a go. He is better that what we have at the moment, Bamba and Copper scare me when they're together.

Don't know much about him Ben, but we could use a good head .
Notice we are in for Seb Larson sunderland mid .
Could be a good loan.

Dog I know that he's played for Arsenal, Milan, Fulham, villa. think he has been Swiss captain for a bit and been to a few tournaments with them.

Wouldnt touch Phillippe Senderos with a barge pole. His decision making is really poor, leads to him making a lot of costly mistakes, and he is really injury prone, tend to be long term too. He would want a decent wage packet too. We need a CB but we need someone we can rely on at the back so no thank you from me.

Watching the post match interview on the OS, are we to understand that Steve Evans offers to kiss players on the mouth? That's one hell of a way to motivate / threaten the players. What an epic management style. got to love him, but rather he didn't kiss me! (Love ya really big Steve) MOT

Used to be at Arsenal and AVFC, prone to a mistake or 2 in a game. I would prefer someone more solid like Ron Vlaar (not sure what he is upto these days)

One thing that is really difficult to understand with the Sam Byram saga after yesterday.

Why on earth would Evans play him if we were to sell? Now MC isn't daft enough to let him go for free in the summer.

However, should he go to any of the premier league clubs, I imagine he would be a fringe player to begin with. This would include playing him in the cup runs to get him some first team minutes.
With the league cup already at the semi finals, that only leaves the FA cup. Sam is now cup tied in the FA cup.

This, coupled with the obvious risk of injury, can anyone else see any sense in picking him? Especially when botaka didn't even get a shirt. Would be the obvious game for Jordan to get some minutes under his belt.

I can only assume that MC seems to think he will get a half decent tribunal fee compared to his current market value (or what clubs will pay) .

Any light shed upon this situation would be appreciated.

Maybe I'm just over simplifying things here, but perhaps SE is playing him because Sam is turning out some good performances. I think we all accept Sam will be gone sooner rather than later, but SE is weighing up the risk of playing him and risking injury, versus having an "in-form" Sam making a difference to the team performance. Taking the points whilst we can, and whilst other players "bed-in". Just a thought?

No idea of how the tribunal system works out levels of compo so can't really comment on that but maybe the offers (if there are any) for Sam are not enough to make MC sell and he knows we will get more at tribunal like you've said Luke. I agree with Softie though. If Sam is playing well, use him whilst we can. His performances have not been affected by speculation and if anything they've improved, so I say get the most from him whilst we can. I am surprised he played yesterday as now he's cup-tied.

It's such a tricky situation. We clearly haven't received a high enough offer as yet, and the offers should increase if he plays well for us - and we benefit too in the short term. The only danger is that he switches off again, but I don't think that's too likely to happen.

Probably any deal will include a loan back for the rest of the season.

Great to be in the hat for the next round for a change. The signing of carayol means that we've got 2 natural wide players (Dallas ) so Byram is probably on his way. Not too disappointed. He will struggle in premier league, lack of pace and strength. What is the problem with botaka? Not even on the bench even we're resting players?

Agree about botaka. Looks good but too clever and fails to deliver good enough passes.
