Is it an option to buy Janssen after so many games or we have to buy if he plays

It's games he's played in

Sorry speedy should have been clearer I know it's games he's played. But is it an option to buy or we have to buy him

Its an agreement to buy rather than an option to buy is my understanding from what has been said Wex.

10 Jan 2017 22:22:34
Oh. I think it's an option but I hope it's a compulsion

Can't understand why people are still talking about this on here, even his agent has come out and said a deal is agreed and the contract is all agreed

Cos you can't believe agents and maybe Leeds are looking at better or cheaper.

No Wex . I do think it's done and dusted but it's just frustrating because we wanna see it announced. But if it's not announced soon I'm getting my rope out

well, a win is a win, didn't play well but winning when playing bit poor is sign of a good team. I normally rate silvestri but he was poor today but then it is hard playing when not playing all the time, also after his performance against norwich to get dropped it must be discouraging. still green is playing better so happy days. cooper has also gone down hill so hope they both leave in window as rather the money.

douk was also very under par. lovely to see mowatt (the poor mans frank lampard) play bit better good drive and nice finish and being in right place right time. Grimes must have some dirt on monk to be on loan and get any game time. nice easy and local game to me in next round so another cup run this season and i might finally get to see leeds win live. worried about defence against derby as they are playing well but think taylor bartley alring baridi might do the trick

None of the fringe players covered themselves in glory against Cambs except maybe Mowatt. I still believe the lad has the potential to blossom. To me one of his biggest weapons is his ability with his left foot. Only once on Monday did he connect but it brought out a good save from their goalie. He worked well in midfield he just needs nurturing and he will come good.

I'd have Mowatt in team before Doukara but then again I'd have anybody before him he's no better than a league 2 player, for me he's no goal threat and offers nothing he's a player where having to carry.

i agree i have always said he reminds me of a poor mans frank lampard but then a poor mans lampard can still be a very good player, good scoring record always seems to be in right place at right time, great shot and eye for a pass. I hope to see him fight way back into first team contention

I agree. He gets a lot of stick from fans, some justified some not. He seems to have been around for ages but he's still only 21. Hopefully he will get his form back and start chipping in with a few goals. That's if he gets a chance.

Mowatt is a good player but he seriously lacks pace, if he just wasnt fast it would be fine but he is really really slow. wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to bring a proper running coach in (not just a fitness coach, something more specific) , it might not add a lot, but an extra yard or two on the break adds up.

Guys the Jannsen discussion. Last night's card was the best that could happen, he gets a 2 match ban and now back for forest game on 28th which means he triggers his contract deal. And as discussed this could now push through a deal for a centre back ;) )

Surely if both teams are accepting that the deal is going to get done at the end of Jan anyway, why not sign it off now? Very odd agreement!

Dougie, the deal is done and dusted. It makes no odds whether it's inside the transfer window or not as he is a loan player and it doesn't affect them. MM

The deal only stated if he plays a number of games we had to purchase him. As he wants to stay and we would be mad to let him go we should sign him Friday on the pitch, before kick off. That will get the atmosphere going. Come back George you are missed and you were leading in my poster of the season poll so far.

Deda. I do agree the PR chappies or ladies will be missing a massive opportunity for free goodwill and publicity if they don't sign Pontus on the pitch. Don't suppose for a minute they will though

I could be completely wrong in saying this but Monk knew the circumstances with Jansson last night, and had plenty of time to make a decision on who to go with. Him and pep will have undoubtedly discussed Jansson getting another yellow causing a threat to his clause, we know that they're both clever coaches. Wonder what he may have installed as back up if anything? He may have established that situation, looking to bring in a new CB, who will cover for Jansson over the next two games, impress us all, and then give the two Barts and Pontus competition. Wishful thinking but it's Monk, he's brought us plenty of gems in the past. Thoughts?

mmmmmmmm . Very interesting. If I was a manager/coach who desperately wanted a new defender and I really wanted to make sure the owner/s were in no doubt about the urgency of the situation, and would have to splash the cash pronto, I'd maybe (unnecessarily ) play my centre back who was one caution away from a suspension in the almost certain knowledge that he would get booked and be missing for the next 2 games. Just saying like :)

Would be an interesting tactic but Monk isn't a fool, Would be a stupid tactic when you have no guarantee clubs will sell in Jan and even when they do you sometimes have to wait for them to get redundancies in place. Was a strange decision though.

But not the point I think Gummie is making we are unlikely to get anyone in before Friday. I expect we'll appeal the card, it was soft. It''s tight at the top and we need to keep the momentum going.

Was at the game tonight, good result in the end! Absolutely appalled at how bad sivestri is in goal! Why can't he catch a ball? Why can't the coaches drum it in to him to catch the damn ball! Absolute liability. Even green is a flapper despite having a few really good games recently! Turnbull has got to be wondering why he's not getting a look in surely?
