Lots of little steps in the right direction if you ask me
Get the club financially stable. Even if it hurts some!
Then focus on team matters.
So far everything he has done has been logical and needed doing.
Good luck with stewart contract too, I say!
Finally someone who knows how to manage and run a club!

Agree totally. so much scepticism and deriding of Cellino. Well, what a task he took on, if you decorate a house 90 per cent is preparation. Everything he has done is a step in the right direction. Support him for his dedication, look at the turmoil it has taken to get to this point, he could have walked away at any time, but didnt. He has sold Cagliari, as he said he would. I for one also applaud and believe in him

Another theory Dolans appointment might have been related to todays court case. Now MC has to repay the loan, he may not have the funds to buy out his contract.

We may be seeing Gary Mac or Hockdaddy as our new coach next year.

Still reakon Steve Clarke would be a good option though.

Agree Ds
Been saying for months di Matteo or Steve Clarke, defo good for this league and maintaing if he got us up!clarke has good contacts at premier clubs ie chelski, WBA etc could get in young hungry wanna prove themselves loanees, or up coming stars at decent money

Steve clarke

So he sells Cagliari for a reported 36 million, has to pay just under 1 million back, and doesn't have enought to buy out Dolan?, your theory seems a tad out bud.

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to Rhino out of the reported 36m MC will get from the sale of Cagliari Leeds will receive four fifths of sod all. Eleonora Sports own 75% of LUFC which means MC's personal fortune is not anything to do with the club. He could however decide that he would like to purchase ER as a separate deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry if I'm not quite getting this but Eleonorasport? Surely this is MC's company? And that's the company that have bought Leeds?

Forgive me if I am wrong.

"So he sells Cagliari for a reported 36 million, has to pay just under 1 million back, and doesn't have enought to buy out Dolan?, your theory seems a tad out bud."

Nobody knows if there were any outstanding debts at Cagliari yet?

Can't see him piling it all into Leeds straight away any how?

Agree0 Disagree0

There were no debts at Cagliari at all the business model had been operating at a profit for the last 15yrs. Ok not a massive one but he never needed to borrow money which maybe a new concept to our club

To everyone who is disappointed and underwhelmed at the prospect of Mr Dolan becoming our new coach remember if we are not excelling by Chtistmas we will be due a new one with MC in charge

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Doesn't look like it will happen now anyway (hopefully!) but you have to thing Reading are some kind of 'team' to leave it this late (after an interview) to decide they don't want it to happen?

Not really a rumour but no longer taking bets for Leeds United's new manager on SS.

Just heard on Radio Leeds and also in Evening post that Paul Reaney, Norman Hunter, Mick Jones, Terry Yorath and John Hendrie will no longer be employed by Leeds next season.

All due to cost cutting exercise by MC.

Dom Matteo's post as ambassador has also been made redundant!

Would be interesting to know how much money they were on!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets see if they turn up next season for "the love of the club" when they are not being paid to be nice to the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont take swipes at our legends please

Agree0 Disagree0

Much as I have respect for these players, it would be nice to see them now give something back to the club when we need it?

They appear to have been looked after quite well considering how long ago they actually played for us?

We cannot afford to keep paying these people money (whether or not they bring anything back into the club?) at the expense of younger players wages?

Good point, let's see if they will buy season tickets and membership supporting the club in the way the rest of us do! Comp days over boys let's see you nail your true colours to the mast . it would really make my day if they all continue to attend and prove their commitment.

Agree0 Disagree0

They were offered hospitality for themselves and a friend but I understand none of them took up the offer

Tpjon

When the ledgends (LEG-ENDS) played for LUFC
(i watched and adored them) but they were paid a good wage and by george did they earn it.
The ledgends knew what a financial mess LUFC were in for the last 10yrs but they are still taking a wage out EVERY week. Like the above person said a free ticket, VIP lunch/drink and that's sufficient.
If we gave EVERY ledgend a job wed be up the swanny!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Andy
Loved them also still do!but it's amazing how they all love our club but. Even when every normal staff members were being made redundant, or had wage cuts/deferrals etc during last 10 years (and it was happening not just with MC) bet no one stepped forward for a wage trim etc.maybe they can return when all financial issues are sorted and LEEDS back on solid ground with our blessings again!

Terry Butcher has just been sacked by Hibs which seems a tad harsh.

Did a great job with no cash at cally thistle, he could do a job on the coaching and motivating front.

MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not sure that a manager who just got sacked for getting a club relegated from Scottish leagues should even be worth a mention. I think should try and convince Paul clemment to make a name for himself here at Leeds, has obviously done something right at Real Madrid

Dont know why people are getting annoyed about dolan appointment because he is not a name the reason why the likes of him and hockaday etc being linked is the job is preciously a head coach nothing more cellino is looking to bring nicola salerno to leeds who he is hoping will be sporting director and will be in charge off all the coming and goings at leeds this man salerno is also wanted by palermo also as he is widely considered one of italys top scouts due to his habits of finding quality players on the cheap and flipping them on for vast profits its the sale of these players that kept calgiari running and fairly impressivly aswell Cellino is selling calgiari as he was fed up of finding talent and selling it on due to high costs associated with club running and very low attendances Cellino is a smart man he knows its in his best intrests to get leeds back in premier league as leeds is a one club city which when succesful in past had very high attendances and even in doomed ridsdale era there was talk of expansion of stadium to make it fifa compliant for international games once leeds are back in premier league not next year maybe not the year after but eventually we will see a stop to fans in leeds area switching to the or city or in most cases a club like liverpool who are hated by most fans just as much as leeds are as an irish leeds fan I don't get to see as many games as i'd like to at elland road its just too expensive but I feel most leeds fans in general are quick to slate players managers owners before they have a chance to put there plans in place In Cellino we truly have an intelligent business man who shown before he is capable of running a football club, in dolan someone who is widely respected throughout the irish youth setup and also readings where he brought reading to fa youth cup last four on 4 occasions since taking over give the man a chance he may surprise you

Well said upside!

Well said mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

I am looking on the upside following that post. Well done fella!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate! Just bought two season tickets on the back of Cellino's attitude & his undoubted business aptitude.
We need to all get behind our beloved club & enjoy the journey. MOT.

Dont think who the head coach is, as long as he can do just that coach and dolan seems to have done well at reading's acadamy, winning the league and last four of the cup. The sporting director will be running the show

Anyone have any idea as to what would be the outcome if the courts found in favour of the winding up petition. would it be a case of just paying the outstanding funds or something more serious.

I am assuming if found in the favour of Leeds, then they can stall the repayement or revert back to the original agreement.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If found in favour either we pay up or a winding up order will be issued, that's it really. I have no doubt Cellino will pay if we lose, its worth a try to save ourselves the dosh

Agree0 Disagree0

If it goes against us easiest option is just to pay it and the court costs 1500approx and that's the end of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

LUFC spain
1500 for what?
Court costs and lawyers cost an arm n a leg nowadays mate, you wouldn't get 1/2lb midget gems for 1500 lol
