That lot will probably be googling who he is first :)

to be honest when an Argentine was mentioned last week i thought it was Sabella until i saw the name. I would be happy with him.

10 Jun 2018 20:16:29
Was a good player when we had him. Didn't he manage the Argentine national team for awhile too.

He might be the Man as long has he has control of transfers.

Any ex mannager of a major footballing nation has tore a big plus after the league 1 and below standard we have had over the last few years, all of whom i have fully supported beyond rational reason. I still hope we get Bielsa but Sabella being an ex player knows us but not the current strength of feeling to get to the PL
Whoever it is let’s hope he gets oth the time to do the job but also more say over players, either of these two will have some good contacts in South American football and the reputation to draw players to us, we haven’t done too badly in the past from players from re and wouldn’t it be great to get a new, improved Becchio type player

It is really great that we got some good young talent on our books. The will he/won't he saga with Pearce finally committing his future to Leeds. Still he is being linked to other clubs, can understand premiership clubs sniffing around but why would we or he consider another championship team. Sad state of affairs if proven to be true, hopefully just poor journalism stirring the pot.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Jun 2018 11:26:35
Mezzanine It won't be bad journalism. Quality English LBs aren't in abundance. Paying even 10m no thing for PL clubs. We must keep him though.

Exactly as both Charlie LB and Sam RB have gone onto better things and enhanced their footballing careers. No hold on a minute. Enhanced their bank balances just. Young players at the club. Take heed. you will lest. And progress much better and faster if you stay put. And play games u like some players who left thinking off one thing. 👍⚽️⚽️⚽️

Agree George, but have seen in one report that Pearce could be used as part of the deal in our attempt to sign Vydra from Derby.

Batty It's called learning the lessons of Taiwo and Woods. Bottom line if you're a talented teenager at Leeds stay where at until at least 22.

I know we all have differing opinions on this site and that’s why it works so well. With that in mind I would like other posters opinion on this: why does Radz mess around with signings? Hernandez is quality and is now reported to be on his way to the Turks, they have offered him the equivalent to £33,360 a week, why can’t we match or beat that? after all we can afford to pay 3 duffers £15k a week! So why not stop all thus trying to get quality on the cheap? Hernandez is worth in this climate £40k a week, and we can afford to pay a good manager his worth to! The trouble is we fanny around trying to get bargains and cheap deals, it’s got to stop and an earlier poster commented that because our targets are taking to long to decide that we should say stuff you if you have to think about coming to Elland Road! Well what about if Leeds take to long in offering them what they are worth, don’t they have the right to say stuff Leeds? It’s high time that the powers that be STOP messing around, find a target and sign him, find a quality player and sign him, not next week, not next month but as soon as possible! There are only a few days left before the WC and we have not done anything but talk, we deman to watch players that are worthy of our hard earned money, there are teams in the Premiership that charge less to watch a game than Leeds charge, and we are in a league lower! We deserve better, it’s about time we saw players that are worthy of the shirt that so many legends have worn and to get that you have to pay up!

Agree mikewoody, if Radz was thinking that he would be binning Hecky at the end of the season, then he should have identified his new target and gone and got him. Too much messing about now trying to find a manager and then going after players . Either he learns from last season's mistakes, buys decent players or just continues with his business model and 5 year plan. I do think he is putting all his eggs in the basket and hoping to get Bielsa and holding fire on player recruitment, which might suggest he wants new boss to have a say.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Jun 2018 08:21:24
You’re probably right Mezzer, which in some ways sounds like Radz will let him have a say in transfers hopefully! I see in the paper this morning and in news now that Leeds want Vydra and at £10M but they want to put Pearce in as part of the deal! Who comes up with these stupid stories!

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Jun 2018 09:38:13
I hope that the stories represent genuine intent from the club to sign a quality coach and players rather than a rous to boost season ticket sales. It would be the straw that breaks the camel's back if after all the talk we end up with Tisdale or Ferguson and our prestige sign is Jerry from Carpi

Great first post Mike, couldn't agree more, plenty of talking, but not doing any doing as yet does make me wonder if it is a tactic to flog season tickets. We have had this with previous owners regarding recruitment. This Managerial appointment and Transfer Window will tell us everything about our current Owner and his ambitions for the club's future.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Jun 2018 12:47:12
Begining to doubt we will get Bielsa seems to be dragging on. We always take ages to get anything done. Bleak on player front as well with all decent ones we are linked with getting interest elsewhere so nothing looking good at the minute. Meanwhile Jerry is waiting in the wings, are we signing him or not, why leave it up in the air or is he the fallback when no one else is available.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2018 13:23:57
LUFCfev; you're absolutely Bob on there pal. This is a vital appointment, and the recruitment this summer has to be better than we've had for many seasons. Hopefully things will start moving more swiftly this week, as I'd heard that Bielsa had been given the weekend to say yes, or no. If it's no, then the only appointment after that which I would be truly satisfied with, is Ranieri. Both guys can attract the calibre of player that Mike Woody, and the rest of us all want to see!

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Jun 2018 14:21:27
Mikewoody great post mate, we will have to sit and wait to see what are leader will bring us, do hope that it’s better then last season, as for the manager anything has to be better than dog bottom.
