This might seem odd and contentious

but I think playing behind closed doors for the remaining nine games might be to our advantage

without the considerable pressure, nerves and expectation of a crowd.

I agree, and have said the same thing before. Think that this will be the time for us to give someone a long overdue battering!

It could go either way. Look at what happened vs Derby in the playoffs last season - i think the pressure got to the players when they were in a situation to go on and win fairly easily.

JKA injured and out again?
If so yet another pathetic Jan transfer window from Radz and Orta . # Poveda and JKA.

yep. another sick note. there is often a reason these players are available at a reduced fee.

It does make you wonder Alf, all that work with him over the last three months and now he's injured again. Also Forshaw has had injury after injury since we signed him.

Why was he bought in, because we didn’t have a striker and Radz could sign any one else, still no striker .

One of the most very effective Leeds United signings in the January transfer window was by Leeds Chairman Leslie Silver with Wilko signing Lee Chapman for just £400,000 whose goals then
catapulted Leeds to promotion in 1990 .

Wilko also very effectively signed Tony Yeboah in the Jan transfer window of 1995 who scored a barrel load of goals to become our top goakscorer that season ( even though just playing the second half of the season ) to qualify us for the UEFA Cup!

These are the types of players that make the difference mid season!

That is how you do an effective January transfer window Radz and Orta! @!

# effective January transfer window recruitment.

{Ed001's Note - I am pretty sure, about 99.9%, that there were no windows in place in English football then. If I recall correctly it was about 2000 or even later that they were introduced.}

Yeah thinking about it you could be right Ed, seem to recall transfers could be done up to March or something

but the point remains that these players were signed mid way through the season and made a significant difference.

{Ed001's Note - I don't dispute your point at all, they can make a huge difference, just being pedantic really.}

If I remember rightly, Nigel Jemson had just leapfrogged Chappy in the Florist starting line up, so we made a reet cheeky bid that came off. Second stroke of genius preceded only by the £300k purchase of the wee man Strachs!

Indeed Brighty both inspired genius signings that facilitated a very emjoyable and successful era for Leeds.

I can't recall Chapman or Strachan ever being out injured.

LUFCfeath yes i recall they both played a lot of games and had very few injuries. Strachan's age eventually caught up with him and was out injured a fair bit in his final season at Leeds

I think Chapman had a fairly serious injury in the 91/ 92 champions season out for 7 or 8 games which then made Wilko bring in a certain French striker later infamous for quotes about seagulls and trawlers 😂😉.

My memory maybe lacking a bit Baz, but I remember Chappy getting that awful facial injury at Tottenham, and he was back playing again straight away!

Yeah LUFCfeath it was definitely at Tottenham when he fell head first on the perimeter track chasing a ball

Yeah I think you are right, he was predicted to be out for longer but came back much sooner. missing perhaps just 2 maybe 3 games.

Don’t recall them being injured On the Day unlike this one Rads signed . Must have Had an off day, or he did to to get the fan off his back another little porky.

So the stoke city boss not come into contact with any players or coaching staff? How after 5 clear results does he get a positive and shouldn't the whole team self isolate or are things done diff in sport?
