11 Mar 2018 11:12:46

Agree5 Disagree0

11 Mar 2018 18:40:46

11 Mar 2018 19:38:08
And subs that can come on and change a game

10 Mar 2018 21:55:51
Going to upset some here but Ortas record is not so bad. A lot of additions to boro are doing better this season. Maybe he needs time to do same here his record is not so bad

Believable11 Unbelievable13

10 Mar 2018 22:37:35
I'm on the fence. I believe that he was briefed to bring in the youngsters. And then in Jan, I think he was told to bring in a stronger midfielder, and he got Forshaw. Radz has said he wants better players in key positions for next season. If Orta brings in similar quality players to Forshaw, to build the spine? I dunno. Hope he does, and can.

Agree9 Disagree2

10 Mar 2018 23:37:44
Come on wex. Sack him now and give the heckmeister full control over transfers.

Agree2 Disagree4

11 Mar 2018 02:04:25
Wex Felix for Rob was a gargantuan howler. Unforgivable. It upset the back 4 and cost us a play off place.

Agree7 Disagree6

11 Mar 2018 08:43:37
Brighty my only question would be If Orta buys in some "quality" this summer, what message does that send to some of the"ones for the future"?

Agree1 Disagree2

11 Mar 2018 08:46:11
Not replacing Bartley was what upset the back 4!

Did we get rid of green or did we honour his desire to play in premiership

If his record isn't so bad I hate to to see it when it really is bad stop deluding yourself the man's a clown 🤡

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Mar 2018 20:14:07
As DeBock has consistently underperformed in his games I wonder what our Scouts saw in him? Surely a winger running at him, a ball through or over the top is the same in England or anywhere in Europe. Does he need a loan move away to iron out his problems or is it best just to get rid?

Believable0 Unbelievable4

10 Mar 2018 21:01:15
How much did we pay for him? Was it something like £3m? Orta wasting radz’s money again? What a star he is.

Agree5 Disagree3

10 Mar 2018 22:22:53
As i said to Martyn g having watched De bock after only 4 games you just know he's going to struggle against Top championship strikers and having watched him again today i wad hoping he would step up but struggled against a poor reading side maybe he hasn't settled and will improve I hope so or he will find himself looking at another option

Agree4 Disagree1

10 Mar 2018 19:37:01
Nice to see Monk has still got a 100% record at Birmingham. Likes to finish the season strongly

Didn't see game as working sadly, how was O'kane today ? On the face of it he has been sent off give a pen away and scored an own goal lately .

Believable4 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2018 21:14:38
I watched it Mighty, and to be honest, he looked better in my opinion. Not so many silly passes to give it away, biting tackles, and quite solid alongside Forshaw, who I think will be our Captain next season.

10 Mar 2018 18:54:10
Big big mistake not going full out to get Grabban from Sunderland, he would of been ideal, I said all along we should of got him!

I hope Hecky is mates with Chris Coleman I would guess he must be looking at a bit of a clear out soon. Let's get in early and start talking.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

10 Mar 2018 19:34:32
Why on earth would we want anyone from Sunderland ?

Agree6 Disagree1

11 Mar 2018 08:49:03
You mean you would turn down O'Shea, Oviedo, Kone?

11 Mar 2018 09:59:39
Leodis
Yes as there probably on silly money wages

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Mar 2018 17:35:29
At least O'Kane and DeBock have been able to make Heckys mind up for the rest of the season. Pennington, decision pending. As for Ekuban, unless he improves quickly the only way he can get a game is in a 4-4-2 doing the running for a striker. On an up note BPF looks like he's claimed the GK berth.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2018 17:48:01
Tend to agree with you on all fronts there Leodis. De Bock was back to some crunching tackles, and was steady apart from his misjudgement that almost let Barrow in. O'kane looked better. BPF looked very good. Two or three quality saves, and claiming crosses like he's been playing at this level for a long time. That said, Reading are a very weak side, and we need to be putting them to the sword, and not gifting goals again!

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 21:16:21
Erm, just re read this. did you think they were carp Leo?

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 22:32:15
Yeh sorry Brighty I think that for whatever reason. Not just this game but recently neither one fills me with confidence and I feel the situation we are in now allows Hecky to make the decision to slowly blood some young guns starting with Pearce at Full Back. There is even room to have a look at a few CentreBacks; O'Connor and Struijk.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 22:54:57
Agree re blooding some of the youngers. But having watched today, I thought o'kane and de bock did alright? Not great, possibly not good enough, but better than their last few appearances.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 17:33:32
Looking on the bright side - we had a decent amount of shots today and a number on target. We even scored 3 goals!

10 Mar 2018 17:33:27
Jesus guys best supporters in England? Reading not safe yet and we create 19 chances away from home! But let’s focus on our weaknesses surely there’s someone we’ve missed to criticise from today ? This is the Leeds forum yeah? This site used to be fun but really it’s starting to get depressing of late and BEFORE we get everyone has a point of view we completely dominated that game today can we at least acknowledge that fact

Believable9 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2018 17:51:41
Certainly dominated the 2nd half Class, and there were some promising passages of play, and some good link up. Another quality goal from Pablo, and another strong performance from BPF. Forshaw looks like a great purchase, and clearly wants to be here. Another 3 or 4 of his quality in other key positions, and we will be much more of a threat!

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 18:03:12
Well said Class!

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 18:19:29
Well said mate and I agree, we looked a lot different today, a bit shoddy in the first 15/20 mins but then we took the game to them something that has been lacking of late. BPF has taken his chance and I think he’s made a good statement to PH, I think O’Kane and Ekuban need to get their act together because at the moment we do have better than them! Maybe things are changing and moving in a different direction, a more positive direction, but time will tell. In truth though we do have to many underperforming! But I do agree with Classof92.

In the premiership it's 40 points. In the championship it's 50. We've reached that magic number. Disappointing in the larger picture but does give PH the chance to mix it up and get an early start on his plan for next year. Selling O'Kane should be high on his list of things to do.

10 Mar 2018 17:57:04
IT was one of those tricky deliveries whipped across the face of goal, where you have a millisecond to make a decision. Unfortunately, he decided wrong, but other than that, played much better today!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 14:56:47
Defensively weak again. De Bock Pennington O, Kane weak links unless they improve dramatically from previous games. Enough creative midfielders out there and a bit of pace from Ekuban. Hopefully we can keep the ball in their half. Badly missing a Batty.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2018 21:50:23
I think he must leave absolutely everything on the training pitch because he never seems to have anything left for the league games. Once more, with feeling, O'K is not ok :)

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 13:37:26
The major problem is and has been a lack of quality midfield players. We are not strong enough in that department and certainly not creative enough. The only player in that position that looks like he could play in a promotion challenging team is Forshaw and he only came in the transfer window after not been able to hold down a regular place in the Middlesborough team. Add to that the back four is suspect at corners and free kicks - or should I say Cooper and Pennington are. We cured that problem when Bartley was here but with the return of Cooper the same old problem returned. Pennington is not the answer. Add to that no quality out wide. Some pace but lightweight and no finish. Limited number of Strikers. Lassaoga is a quality finisher but doesn't get the chances very often. Saiz and Hernandez are quality players but don't do enough when not in possession which is a must in this team. If we win any more games that should be seen as a bonus.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2018 13:50:21
Lol hess
Rose garden mate. Janson and lassie are crap. How can you use quality and lassoga in same sentence ffs. U mental.

Agree0 Disagree4

10 Mar 2018 14:00:01
Totally agree with there Hess been saying myself midfield is very weak and small we need two big guys there with Forshaw, Jansson totally different player when he had Barts at the back with him Cooper is not captain material in my book and no better than squad player, O'kane and Phillips need to be sold I'd only keep Vieira for the time being with him being still young but he needs to start and improve.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 14:10:21
Cant see for the life of me why he has picked Okane today he's been crap last few weeks if he's the best we can do we really are up against it

10 Mar 2018 14:34:09
So janson useless without bart? Getard?

Agree0 Disagree2

10 Mar 2018 16:18:12
Cooper is a liabilty at set pieces. Lassoga will score given the chance anyone who has seen him play knows that but does little else. We have no other strikers of note. Ecuban and Roofe are poor at this level. Don’t think I’m mental but I think I know a bit about football. Of course Jannson is not useless without Bartley but he can't do it all and cover for Cooper as well. That's why we concede it's obvious. Are U mental or something!

Looking at the fixture list, our current form, injuries and bookings I suspect we will struggle to get 6 points from the last 10 fixtures. We will finish with about 55 points give or take a couple.

I'm going to be brave and go for 20 pts including today. Think we will blood some of the younger players who have the ability to develop to a higher level and the ey play better than some of the players who have played regular and would never be able to play to play to that higher level. Just like the Taylor, Cooks and Byram's, hope so anyway

I think the next 3 games are definitely winnable. In fact it will show us what our new coach is made of, as these are the type of games TC was winning. If we lose all 3 then we'll have to change his name to Feckingbottom because that's where we'll end up!

Team for today would be: BPF, Bera, Jansson, Pennington, Pearce, Vieira, Forshaw, Dallas, Hernandez, Saiz, Ekuban. Would love to see young vieiera, clarke, and maybe sarkic on the bench too. Lasogga needs a rest imo, not getting enough service.
