To all those who said it was rubbish when I said leeds were skint well why is radz having to sell 10% of his stake when he worked hard to gain 100% of the club? For the this year's transfer fund? Well it's valued at 45_50 million so what we going to get with 4.5_5 million? #depressing

So the silent majority of Leeds fans understand and agree with Radzs according to him. So the ones who voice their displeasure on Twitter eff don't matter. #deluded

Agree1 Disagree1

10 May 2018 22:39:31
Either Radz was/is naive and thought success could be bought on the cheap and maybe is feeling the pinch or he is merely generating funds from an outside source, to be channelled directly back into the squad, without really diluting his power. If it is the second and it does go to new purchases then I will say. Go ahead, just be very wise where you spend it.

Under normal circumstances I would be at the forefront suggesting Kyle Bartley would be a good recruit. I am not so sure now. I thought his injury problems were behind him but he is injured again. With our track record it would be typical if we signed him and then he was sidelined for months. It's a risky option. Robert Huth would be a better option although nothing is straight forward. He is Thirty four at the start of the season and therefore not a long term option and his wages are high. Nothing much else available. Good centre halves and strikers are at a premium and costly. That's why we trawl the lower division looking for hidden gems. Unfortunately they are few and far between. That's another reason we buy in bulk. The mistake is giving them long term contracts before they have given some indication they can actually play. Luke Murphy, for example, wasn't that great for us but was ok for the most part. The big point is that is better than any we have brought in except Forshaw who is arguably a different sort of player.

No to Bartley for me. Huth no as well cause of wages. Must be some 30 plus cb out there like terry that wants one final swan song before scrap heap looms.

Phil Jagielka? or is that too much to ask? Lescott maybe?

Agree1 Disagree0

10 May 2018 16:33:39
Jagielka would be a good signing, but I doubt we could get him, O Shea, a bit slow but might do a good job in a good back four, he has the experience. Lescott I think has had his day.

Jagelka will go to Cardiff with his mate Colin

All of those have their merits. The biggest for me would be to mentor the likes of O'Connor and Shaugnessy. So it makes sense for us to get a been there done it CB on just a two year contract. To manage their appearances alternating with the two young guns and so it becomes a win win. They get two good (promotion) years and we get breathing space to bring the kids along gently and not forced rushed.

It's going to be a tough call for Hecky next year in the midfield dept. Forshaw seems to be a nailed on and with the system being just 2 in midfield. Who is going to partner him. With calls for any number of new midfielders to be brought in and the return of Klich and "return" of Ideguchi coupled with the emergence from the ranks of a Machuca, Stevens or a Rey getting a game will become all the harder for Phillips and even Viera. So Mr Hecky perm any 2 from 8?

Looks like Murphy might be on his way back so - 2 from 9?

Might have to play a 6-4-6 formation as he has a similar problem upfront.

Id just like to ask, based on this season, and pretty much knowing whos up and whos down from all the leagues now, how do we think the league will pan out next year? Its very early doors but i'd like to see where your heads are at in terms of whos looking good and bad. think your top 6 will be made up of villa, brum (as annoying as it is to say they look good under monk and pep) , stoke, and boro, top two being Swansea and west brom, derby to bottle it again and Fulham to win the play offs this year, forest will have a good season, as will Brentford (think said might go to Brentford he's one their manager would love) preston to have a good season too, leeds probably around mid table again. Irritating thing about this season is that two teams who were not expected to do well have shone, reading, Wednesday, us, boro, villa have all underperformed in my opinion, even think Blackburn and wigan look stronger than us at the moment. We are in a worse position than we think to be honest, scraped some good results under Christiansen which really did polish the turd. I stand by not needing a central midfielder, I think under new management (but not hecky) klich will be a flyer, particularly alongside Forshaw. Its make or break in terms of how far phillips career will go next year if you ask me, if he wants to be a premier league player he has to start making the step up, even in a number 10 role, he was good there at the start of the year, games against Barnsley and Bristol mentionable. back 4 and goalkeeper again needs working on, personally think we just need a bit better back up, speroni the easy answer too imo, or frank fielding, I think he's out of contract. right back were okay with ayling and coyle, then hosannah if needed. CB you need to promote struijk or diaz, and keep oconnor and jansson in the fame, say bye to cooper, and sign a new big name like a bartley. left back needs work too, pearce a good prospect from what we've seen, and I think the spot is his to lose, but again a versatile defender like Charlie mulgrew would be excellent to have. in an attacking sense, playing Hernandez off the striker has to be done, he should be captain imo, and first name on the team sheet. two wingers who he likes to play with woul dbe good, one is probably going to be roofe, if he's not up front, and the other alioski, as it stands I think we need to look at a very skilful player, lots of talent. wolves have jota, Cardiff have zohore, Fulham have piazon, ayite etc, villa have adomah, boro have traore, leeds rely on jay roy grot and cibicki and sacko. Edmondson carries on the way he is he'll be making the bench at least, if not starting, then you need a good number 9, like a good number 9 as well. Dabbur from Salzburg is appealing. BPF, Ayling, Jansson, O'Connor, Pearce, Klich, Forshaw, Oztumer, Hernandez, Alioski, Edmondson, think i'd be happy with that, but we need more quality to fight for these places.

I wouldn’t start with either Hern or Alioski. Both bench players. Hern lots of quality but too old. Alioski lots of energy but not heaps of quality. Both 60-70min subs for me. Like the backs and Forshaw and Klich. Need a talented midfielder and top drawer striker.

A quick update for you all. Hecky still in charge, god knows how as it is literally just a complete waste of time, they only want him to bring youth through, he won't be here in October I can tell, 6 games at the start of the year. Just sign up grayson please. I want someone in who understands the fans and what they want, not the rubbish that the owner tells them, someone who we can get on board with not a Barnsley fan? Leeds lose 2-1, god knows how they've done it but they've managed it, incredible. Edmondson has to start up top for us in pre season he's one of 3 things to be excited about right now, him pearce and bpf are all leeds have going for them on this trip. roll on tomorrow, get this silly tour out the way, maybe our laughing stock club will attract some sponsors that radz can work with, fund us to do a wolves, sign some good players and batter the 18/19 season, under simon grayson or anybody but hecky. finally, get klich antonsson and ideguchi training with us. sell 8/9, sign 3/4 and if were short on numbers promote youth mid season, none of the youth players have actually been a disaster so far. long summer gents, mot

I don't think much, if anything, can be gained, footballing wise, from this trip. What with travelling, time difference, heat and humidity It's nigh on impossible to replicate any type of Championship football. All that coupled with the virtual change of team just after half time any result is meaningless. (Nearly) Every player on the pitch yesterday was merely okay the one exception that impressed me was Edmundson. He looks to be playing himself into contention for next season.
