This is parts of the joint statement from LUFC and GFH;

Following the latest bout of speculation, which included a number of inaccurate media reports and a statement from the Leeds United Supporters Trust which stated the group had been in direct contact with GFH Capital, the two parties have moved to clarify the situation.

"As such, neither I nor any employee of GFH Capital has been in discussions with the LUST. This is clear from some of the detail within a recent statement from LUST, notably, how GFH Capital 'has only emerged as potential buyers in the last six weeks.' In truth, GFH Capital has been working with the current Club owners since June''.

In my view GFH have basically called LUST liars and what annoys me more is that LUST are supposed to be supporters of Leeds Utd so to make stupid and irresponsible statements such as theirs is not going to help an already tense situation. Do the real fans a favour and shut up, let the board and GFH get on with it without interfering.

GFH Capital use other companies to do work for them and they have employees who are not employees of GFH Capital. Why didn't they add "or anyone representing GFH Capital"?

"Discussions" I can send you a letter, an email, a text or phone you up and tell you something none of which constitute a 'discussion' unless we get into an exchange of letters, emails, etc.

The statement is very carefully worded, so please read it again.

Dont try and educate the uneducated mate.

Heard today that there is a slight glitch in the takeover plan and it may be closer to 5 weeks away not 3 as many people are saying. One of the backers from GFH had his bank account frozen in error (similar problem to the ones that have hit Natwest and Coop banks recently) so they were unable to process the transfer of money to the central account that will be used to pay for Leeds. The account is unfrozen again so the money transfer can happen but as you can imagine there is a bit of paperwork involved when transfering large sums of money so this has to be processed again. As I said only a minor glitch that has moved the timetable slightly but takeover will still happen in enough time for NW to have funds available for the transfer window.

Statement on Official site basically translates as shut up LUST

Well going by the joint statement on OS, GFH say they haven t been talking to LUST, now there s a surprise. LUST you have been caught out again with your ' inside source' sh:t, you have no credibility, now back off.

Ed003 I take it you don't celebrate when he scores, stand up when he's in or around the 18yd, applaud him when he has played a blinder of a match. Did you appreciate Bowyer when he was on trial? I appreciate anyone who works bloody hard for Leeds. Rethink or reword your statement ed. {Ed001's Note - why? He is allowed a different opinion from you.}
