Charging £14.95 to watch live football could lead to an increase in the virus 19 s.
In order to share the costs, it would be no surprise to see supporters ignoring restrictions by gathering together in one home to watch the footie with a few beers and pizza.
The message to the Premier League needs to be "Keep televised football free for all during these troubled times".

It's disgusting.
I can watch every single premier league game this season for around £100 with my DAZN subscription ($150 CAN) and get a whole lot more included (rugby, boxing, cricket, NFL etc) .
Get yourselves a Canadian VPN and save a fortune!

Basically a Android box + a paid for app to the local Derek Trotter and you have all UK + ROI tv stations and normally a adults ( western ) movie channels for those lonely winter nights ✊✊✊.

So many amazing quality players to choose from 🤔
Would love to shoehorn ALL of my faves into a squad of at least 30 😉
such as the main man Mr Mark Viduka💜, King Pablo for sure 💜
Of course the inspiration of the mercurial Gordon Strachan💜, an old fave of mine magic banana shots Tony Currie 💜 in front of prostrated adoring Leeds fans
The ultimate King Billy💜 and the sensational Revie teams 💜 of course
The wizardry of Duncan McKenzie💜 and John Sheridan💜,
Always had a soft spot for a marvellous but somewhat underrated winger Arthur Graham 💜
of course the AMAZING Tony Yeboah 💜 who scored goals very, very, very few ( if any at all) players had the ability to score
and definitely the VERY BEST ever most talented, gifted and VERSATILE Leeds United player John Charles 💜 and Bielsa loves versatility!

Corkwhite, we must be of a similar era, loved those two players, met Arthur Graham when I had a tour of Elland Road as a 12 year old. First players who were idols for me were Tony Currie and Trevor Cherry, but must say Batty and Yeboah are my all time favourites.

I remember Cherry playing for England and was the only Leeds player doing so at time. Funny but I’m 49 and Leeds in all my years have had very little players play for England in that time. I suppose a quarter of a century in lower divisions does that!

Beckford

Jermaine Beckford you say? purely as he dragged us out of league 1 and I loved watching him play and we always scored goals And the goal
At old Trafford was legendary . It was a time with mixed emotions at the club we were in league one but enjoyed the football
Harte because of his free kicks.

Reflections on start of season
I think we have 1 point more than I hoped for I thought we would lose v city and Liverpool and beat Fulham and Sheffield United . The two games we have won are the games we need to win and a point from city was a bonus . I think as the season goes on the new signings will gel and the fitness will come back and I think before season I was hoping to stay up but now I'm hoping for a solid 10th place finish.

Not even sure I wouldn't have a taken a point at the blunts and been happy.
Right now I'd say we are 6 above the dreaded relegation (allowing for the game in hand) which is great.
I'll take a point at Wolves but can also see us getting all 3.

CB: Hunter
LB: Dorigo
CDM: Bremner
CM: Giles
CM: McAllister

Absolutely agree
There are times when all football rivalries should be put aside and this young, inspirational man is one of those times.
I admit to being sceptical when I first read of his initiative. Another footballer's PR exercise. Jumping on the back of the virus bandwagon. But the more I have read the more I am humbled by this young man's drive and commitment.
My only hope now is that he is transferred to a big club like Madrid or Juventus, so I can enjoy watching him play on TV. I am unfortunately a petty older man, bereft of the class of Mr Rashford.

Well. he’s showing leadership off the field as well as on it. I just wish the poor lad didn’t have to stick that ugly red rag on his back of a Saturday. that’s not fair on him now is it. Should be a law against it really. Exposing decent folk to that kind of cruelty.

It's just a shame that the honours system is devoid of value, and has been for almost a century. The lad is doing good work off the field, and I am pretty sure that he would have preferred some material support over some empty posturing.

10 Oct 2020 11:26:43
Completely agree, he has done tremendous work and fully deserves the honour
It’s just a shame, as Cyno mentioned, they are devoid of value and have been proved again by awarding one to Lorraine Kelly, who adds zero value in this world and is basically an oxygen thief.

Really, he done some great charity related work for 5 mins which is great and nice to see but come on.
There are thousands out there doing valuable charity stuff every week but they won't get mentioned.
It's all BS PR. he's made waves in the news (well done lad, it's a valuable cause) so he gets a gong. If he'd being doing it for 10 yrs I'd think well deserved.
Agree1

10 Oct 2020 14:32:41
But harsh CW, at least he has been honoured for going above and beyond what he does on a day to day basis, he hasn’t done this for PR, I think he genuinely cares and wants to make a difference and has used his status to do so.

10 Oct 2020 14:35:50
I won't disagree, but with power imbalances being what they are his huge platform gives him the ability to have a much greater impact than most of us.

10 Oct 2020 15:39:22
Not saying Rashford did it for PR at all, saying whole honours list is decided based on PR.
If it was decided on merit he wouldn't be honoured whereas Mr X who has worked at the homeless shelter for 25 hrs with no pay would be honoured.
He gets it because he's well known.
