Seen as Warnock goes for players who can play more than one position, I think he may go for R chaplow from Southampton can play right side or in centre midd

Ok I will tell you what this new consortium should do,if you want this bloody football club, just give him what he wants, cos fans are starting to question do you really have the funds to take this football club forwards, and even your motives, show us you mean bussiness either sign or bloody walk cos all this,we want it sorting by end of week that was just bull, times up sign up or get lost.

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Bravo a straight talking guy saying exactly how you feel, and many others too think similarly i bet. bates has done far to many curtain calls. sell and p*ss off, or grow a pair and withdraw. this farce has gone on long enough, there a whole season to get through enough with the distractions. M.O.T

Agree11 Disagree3

It's pretty common knowledge that it's Bates's refusal to sign an indemnity causing the hold up. Indemnities are absolutely standard clauses in any business sale so his objection seems odd. He must have realised he'd be asked to sign one since he's not exactly new to all this.

The bizarre thing about indemnities is that they are the least enforced aspect of agreements of these nature but almost always the biggest sticking point.

No point anyone getting wound up though - it's not under our control so why stress?
ML

Agree5 Disagree0

"It's pretty common knowledge that it's Bates's refusal to sign an indemnity causing the hold up"

There's no such thing in this whole affair which is 'common knowledge' - maybe you mean 'total hearsay' though?

Thankfully LUST seem to be keeping their gob shut, which is the most important thing here, they've already tried to upset the whole deal by shouting their mouths off that it was all over, hopefully they will now also realise they know NOTHING more than anyone else....

Agree5 Disagree2

Atleast when LUST said it was all over. They got Shaun Harveys arse into gear to Monaco. So some good came of it. At the end of the day there fellow fans, who just want the best for the club right or wrong. Which goes along way more than a buisness man, who just keeps on selling the wrong things. If only he got what we really wanted him to sell.
Funny how life is!

Agree1 Disagree1

Last poster is wrong on every account. I think there is one particular journalist whose leaked information has turned out to be correct at every turn so far and I think therefore we can rely on the reports about indemnities. It may not be 100% reliable but it's the only plausible story so far from a source which has been pretty reliable.

As for LUST I don't believe this takeover would have happened without their early involvement to try and attract potential buyers to the look at the club. I don't believe anyone would buy a football club without talking to its supporter organisations so I suspect that both LUSC and LUST know rather more than they're letting on.
ML

Agree0 Disagree1

LUST didnt make Shaun Harvey 'get his arse into gear' he had already been working very hard on the deal. He had also already set off to Monaco to see Bates and decided to visit him 2-3 days before LUST even released a statement. All they did was cause worldwide press to go mental about their incorrect statement.

Agree1 Disagree0

LUST are a set of morons, why people believe them is beyond me, no im not Ken

All these people talking about boycotting games is stupid, surely you love and support Leeds more than you hate Bates? I don't like Bates, but thought of not watching the Mighty Whites on a Saturday and sitting at home watching Jeff Stelling tell us there's been a goal in the game at Newport County would be horrible! There's only one team I care about, one club! That's Leeds, and ill continue to watch them! Not many fans liked Warnock, but now look he's a legend! Not many people liked Diouf but he's wearing the shirt and playing amazing! Now the majority of the fans like them both, but they wouldn't of boycotted games due to them coming to the club! Yeah Bates may not spend much but were financially better now than what we were when he took over, yeah he hasn't spent much but were just outside the play offs in the Championship, we haven't spent loads in recent years we've sold better players than we've brought in, but we've became better for it. Have we missed Howson, Snodgrass, Beckford? No not really, Beckford left and we became a team of 11 and finished just outside the play offs, Howson left and nothing really changed he wouldn't have prevented the crushing home defeats to the likes of Blackpool and Birmingham, Snodgrass has left and now were joint with the play off pack, so all this boycott talk is silly, support the team before hating Bates, I don't like him, but I love my team more! ForeverLeedsForeverWhites! PickersLUFC!

If I could have pressed "Agree" 1,000 times I would have done, excellent post mate.

Good post at the moment but what happens when the wheels fall off and cracks spring up from knowhere, just like they are now with injurys. Theres still no money, which will be the same the next day and the next.
When do we say, I love my team a nuff to do something about it. Everybody hates us, do we hate are selfs?
Deep down i'm sick of the fighting between us. We where always so proud and loud. Look what this man has done to are proud club. He didn't save us, he poisoned us.
If these people wanting to buy, have any love for the lufc badge. They will putb a stop to this and become the medication we need.
FINGERS CROSSED THERE IS A GOD!

"surely you love and support Leeds more than you hate Bates?"

Actually my hate for Bates is getting very close the limit. He has the oopportunity to do the right thing and instead of doing so he is semingly taking the opportunity to kill the club off.

I'd rather boycott the club than watch Bates DESTROY it......

Agree5 Disagree5

We can't say that Bates ISN'T doing the right thing...Just because we want him gone, doesn't mean that whoever stumps up the cash is suitable! In fairness, he's but a lot of time into us, and wouldn't want to see us fall apart soon after getting us sorted!

Come on Bates, stop messing around, surprised you havent been carted off by the guys in the white coats
pull ya finger out and enjoy your retirement, before its too late

Believable9 Unbelievable1

He wants to enjoy screwing us over. That's why he bought us.

Agree0 Disagree1

Sick of watching other clubs owners put a little in because they want success. Why do we never get the ever after. Instead its just getting dafter and dafter. Bates as turned us into one big joke for everyone to have a laugh at. When he's gone and the flag is at full mast. We will celebrate and call it a bank holiday( leeches day).
I would pay a little more on match days for Bates to go. Come on guys buy the club and see its true purtential.
We all love Leeds, we all hate Bates!

Can we just get a team! Stop all this tKeover crap, boycott crap and get s team or squad to make it a happy season. I don't mind finishing 3rd as long as Neil has a set of players that if they don't win then they have lost to a better team. We won't win all the games but let's just win the ones we should. We have dine well so little far this season but the next 4 have nigh as many or better points.
It would be so nice at the end of the season for us and Neil to say we did the best we could, without any if onlys.
Please??

quote from Ken Bates in 1984January 21 2012 at 12:40 AM rammstein  (Login spoongoon)
quote from Ken Bates in 1984 after Leeds fans had damaged a score board at Stamford Bridge, " I shall not rest until Leeds United are kicked out of the football league. There fans are the of the Earth, absolute animals and a disgrace. I will do everything in my power to make this happen"

Ken Bates couldnt care less what anyone thinks about him, he will be enjoying seeing us sweat about the team and takeover
If it happens it happens, if not then, eventually, he'll fall off his perch.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

WOW, a quote from 28 years ago! when, lets be honest, we didn't have the best behaved fans around. Alot of us probably think similar things when millwall come to visit. Also i think Bates is alot more worried about money (leeds united) than just pishing off us fans.

Agree7 Disagree2

Yawn, stick to your LUST meetings

Agree3 Disagree3

Jesus i hope in 28 years time i aren't reminded of everything i have said in the heat of the moment.

Agree2 Disagree0

Your right there. Bates is just interested in the money. Thats why all are best players are no longer at the club, along with the money.
He loves us, he really loves us.
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

^ no one said he loves us? If you spent less time on this website talking rubbish while you are at school maybe you would be able to read what is actually said. Who do you support? cause looks to me like you're just here to provoke reactions and come out with ridiculous replies that are not actually linked in anyway to what you are replying to.

Agree0 Disagree0

I haven't got time for people who haven't got the ar=e to sign off. He loves us, was me just taking the pi== out of Bates's feelings towards us. Same person, hide behind your words, sad man.

Looking forward to welcoming your passionate supporters on saturday (our first 3pm Sat.kick off since Feb. how crazy is that). Should be a cracking game which could go either way. As long as Ross doesn't score the winner. Bet that would take your minds off the "takeover" though, if only for a fleeting moment.

Have been reading alot on this site about boycotting the games in an attempt to oust Bates.
Firstly, fair enough to those who want to do that- its their loss.
Secondly, how on earth do you expect to get 20 odd thousand Leeds fans to not go to Elland road? Through this site? I doubt it.
You may sit and moan about Bates (im not a fan of him either by the way) but seriously try and come up with a more constructive way of ousting the old git.
Attempting to start a boycot will get you maybe a couple of hundred, maybe a thousand fans out the ground.
Will that stop Bates?... Nope.

Believable12 Unbelievable6

I agree mate, the best way is to stop buying beer, pies, and anything in the ground, im sure after a while it would hit is long deep pockets

Agree5 Disagree7

I think we should copy the spanish and wave white handkerchiefs to show our disaproval of the current set up. It would have to be done for a televised match to get maximum affect. The main problem is getting enough people to take part, which I fear you wouldnt. You could sell them for 50p outside and donate all the proceeds to the Speed family to help fight depression. Just a thought

I know lust are not everyones cup of tea. I do think they could get the ball rolling with something, with over 8 thousand members. Thats a hell of alot of ticket sales goin south.
Just a thought lads.

Agree9 Disagree3

LUST are just as bad as Bates {Ed020's Note - if not worse!!!}

Agree7 Disagree4

Who says that even 1000 of that 8000 go to every game though be interesting to see the stats on how many of their fans are actually season ticket holders over the past 2-3 years..

Agree2 Disagree3

8000 out of probably more than 300-500000 fans worldwide at least

Agree3 Disagree3

Im sure waving white hankies will devastate bates!

Agree7 Disagree1

Only people you're hitting by not buying beer and pies are the students who serve you.

Agree1 Disagree3

We would not be waving "hankies" to try and devastate Heir Bates, the purpose would be to make a public expression of the frustration felt by Leeds supporters. A protest outside the ground would be badly attended and could end up making matters worse and lead to trouble, which makes the frustrated supporters look like hooligans and gives Bates more fuel to use. Waving a white handkerchief would require little effort, would not be threatening to police or stewards but would look great on tv if you got enough people to participate. I am not sure how many will watch the Leeds V Everton match on tv but you can be sure it will get more coverage then the few hundred who view this website everyday.

AidanMOT

Agree2 Disagree0

We don't want public expressions of our anger we want action, you haven't got the balls to stand up and make the ultimate personal sacrifice by not going to see the team you have supported all your life. You clearly haven't got the balls to do it. You would rather just not buy a pie or wave a hankie pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree3

Instead of hanky why not every one take a red card. redcardforken

Agree0 Disagree0

Or just bates out signs no Cofusion then

Agree0 Disagree0

A red card would be a good idea too but any anti bates signs etc would be taken off you by stewards. The biggest problem your going to have is getting enough people involved.
AidanMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

"Im sure waving white hankies will devastate bates!"

No, but maybe a red rag would do.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when did it take balls to sit at home for a couple of weekends and save 80 quid people do that when they are saving up all the time anyway and you probably do all the time so go back to your armchair pal. I dont like to have a go at other peoples opinions but the way you worded yours was purely to slate the earlier poster. I have missed many Leeds games in the last few years due to being on tour so dont tell me about balls! Sitting at home relaxing on a saturday isnt balls.
