With costa Meslier and Harrison resigned as well as Charlie Allen and geldhart signing it would be nice to finish of the window with Ben white and Benrahma or Watkins or a striker of that nature. I think would do nicely.

Got me thinking back to Bubs previous two years in the Championship. Thankfully the previous year falling short is all but a distant memory.

But look at the recruitment Bubs wanted when he first took over? Next to nobody, fast forward to this year and juggling Ben White to cover Phillips and Luke playing a few games at centre half Berra stepping in (manfully has to be said)

I joined in on this site with all the amazing banterers naming players and highlighting where we were obviously lacking, and in the main it was youngsters and some loanees sound familiar?

I’ve Also been naming players and positions I want filled for this season like everyone else, and was shocked and disappointed upon hearing the rumour that Bub only wanted one centre half.

Actually, now I don’t think he even wants one, he only wants BennWhite back as he’s a proven magical piece in Bubs highly tactical and detailed strategic jigsaw.

So I’ve decided I’m not going to keep rationalising the irrational he just does not work like that.

Bub will do what he always does. his way, a way many mangers have attempted to copy but is unique to our own genius of a manager.

So it could be it’s a million for a Fulham u23 full back with Luke moving in at centre half, ( no, not what I want to see either) clearly Bub does not consider his centre backs have to be six ft plus they just have to be fit, tactically aware and most of all comfortable with the ball at their feet.

I do believe he still wants creation (a 10) and a goal scorer with a superior conversion rate to Bam bam, doesn’t mean they’ll displace bam bam though and what top top striker will settle for the bench the majority of the time, Eddie struggled with it.

So, I’m no longer thinking if we go the blunts way (sensible spend) . Or the Villa, Fulham way (maximum spend)

It’s going to be the Old stubborn as a mule Bubs way, with either ten x1 million junior players or Ben and a n other! See there I go again trying to predict or assume what Bubs will do, I really have to learn and accept . you cannot rationalise the irrational

Bubs way, and it’s going to be exciting and wonderful, whatever befalls us this season.

Looking like it will be plentiful signings around the £ 1 million mark of veryyoung players of considerable potential

plus 2 experienced signings one in central defence and one crucial must have natural goalscorer

Love to see Ben White return to Leeds but it seems to be difficult.

Sure Ben White will land. The media hype that the big boys will step in with big money I do not believe. He's only proven under Beilsa regime and would be lacking in height for their requirements. All about negotiation, Brighton will eventually sell to us or keep. By the way if we were in for one of the Bees would they give us the same discount they got for Pontus, (being silly now) .

Ben White is only proven in the Championship and there is a step up in standard to be made. So for me there must be other options that are better value for money than the £30m they are talking for BW.
Where we can use the remaining money to strengthen other positions.
Ing's went for less than £15m I know they are different positions but a good goal scoring striker is far more valuable than an unproven centre half.
A good defender, a goal scorer and a creator is the minimum we need.
Bringing in another few younger players with potential alongside the ones we have got would be a good.

Dem Blades only had championship players, they did ok

MB dies not require big name players only those that believe and will carry out his methods to the letter

All our players are “ premiership players” now anyway.

Good point other. Our last championship squad was missing, Costa, Phillips, Beradi and Foreshaw. If Cody signs, he will be around the squad. White or replacement and attacking options and we will be struggling to fit everyone into the Bielsa way of working!

Really important we get Ben White imo. He obviously knows the way we play and was superb last season.
The first dozen games will be so critical in having a good campaign and having Ben back in the defense as opposed to other names reported as CB targets could be the difference between staying up or going back down. Obviously a new CB could hit the ground running so to speak but at least with BW we, the team and Bielsa know what we'd be getting.
I hope and believe the deal will go through even though it's going to be a big fee.

I’m hoping we can get him for 25 then hopefully we can get a decent forward in for around 20 then for me that’ll be a decent window.

Happy we are buying some young players with potential, but we need an experience goal scorer and decent centre half as a minimum. Think Bielsa will stick with most of the squad that got us up, but need strength in depth to survive.

Like the idea of Emi Buendia being a potential replacement for Pab’s. Don’t know if Norwich are willing to let him go but he could be eased in nicely and could learn a lot from “el mago”
His value is around 15 Mil, he can play on the wing also, does have some discipline issues.
Don’t want to be saying goodbye to Pablo just yet but his pace will be letting him down now. Can see this as his final season at Leeds Utd. Any other suggestions?
