This would be my line up

Bamford/ new stk
Just a bit of fun.

Bamford and not roofe?
No Forshaw?
Not my chosen first 11.

I thought you liked Bamford, Aus?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Dec 2018 10:13:31
Alf mate. He hasn’t proved himself in my eyes. Roofe plays his heart out every week and bags goals in the championship. Bamford has done neither.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Dec 2018 10:46:19
aus doesn't know that bam bam has been injured and when he played for us his record was good, that said roofe has been on fire.

12 Dec 2018 11:04:41
Bamford record for us good bw? How so?
I do know he was injured. I judge him on what I have seen and that is nought to get excited about.

Bamford has started one game and scored one goal. High standards indeed Ausman.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Dec 2018 13:41:01
Bamford looked hungry yesterday. Scored one goal with a classy finish against an England keeper that he could have scored at any level of football. His third goal was also a nice finishing touch where he controlled the ball and shot without it hitting the ground. The second was him being a real striker and getting himself into a dangerous situation, where he really could have injured himself, to poke it home. He admitted after the game that his legs were shattered so still off a full 90 minutes. I think he’ll be good and will no doubt get playing time over Christmas and new year. If think when Bielsa says every player will be used, they will be! I think even the effect of him being on the bench on Saturday focused Roofe a bit!

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Dec 2018 00:27:56
How many games as sub notts.
he has done nothing. 1 goal?
Let’s see come what may what we are saying. He won’t have more than 10 and at 10 mill that ain’t enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Dec 2018 09:57:53
many on here have spoken about jan singigns needing time to learn Mb style and intensity yet Bamford is not extended this curtisy?

started one and scored one and looked good rthen injured. Sub appreances where just that sub apprances while getting upto speeed.

Judge what you have seen which was promise in a leeds shirt, I also rememebr bamford ripping us to shreds in a borough shirt so judge that which was MOTM performance. like i said with woods Bamford will be decent for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Dec 2018 10:00:11
aus also he won't get, ore than ten and at ten mill that ain't enough. the poor sod is inured that ain't his fault and how cabn you judge him on that? what you exoect a goal from the stands while on crutches. sorry but that is just a madness statement. he ain't unfit like brolin he is injured.

12 Dec 2018 13:43:48
Might happen if we are chasing a game! The good thing now is we can think about, Roofe, Bamford, Brown, Saiz, Clarke and Hernández. Each one of those could be a game changer, from the bench or from the off! Imagine being able to bring 3 of those of the bench!

Anyone back Leeds for the title or promotion? I backed us a few times ranging from 7s to 14/ 1. Obviously it would be nice to collect but the cash return would be just a bonus. It's been too long.

Jack, a handsome man, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to this blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV as the 10:00 news came on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump.

The blonde looked at Jack and said, "Do you think he'll jump? "

Jack says, "You know what, I bet he will. " The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't. " Jack placed $30 on the bar and said, "You're on! "

Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off of the building, falling to his death. The blonde was very upset and handed her $30 to Jack, saying, "Fair's fair. Here's your money. "

Jack replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 o'clock news and knew he would jump. "

The blonde replies, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again. "

Jack took the money.

Bamford scores! Welcome back, nice finish as well. Under 23 side that includes, Harrison, Baker, brown, Bamford, Shaunessy. Of course, we gave them a 1 goal start! So 1-1!

2-2 now! If you get a chance have a look at Jack Clarke’s goal, great run and scores! Not a bad performance so far, up against top of the league side who are pretty free scoring recently!

3-3, some game this is! Now Baker gets a bit of scoring practice for us! Harrison gone off to be replaced by Clarke and Leif Davis gone off for Aapo!

11 Dec 2018 14:24:27
Now Izzy brown goes and gets a goal, 3-4 in what is turning out to be a very positive outing for the squad and great news for the first team as well!

11 Dec 2018 14:35:40
Bamford with number 5! He put himself into a position in scoring where he really could have hurt himself and comes away rubbing his leg! This game in a strange way, could prove to be a key part of our season. This lineup not too far away from championship standard!

Wow, this is some performance, Clarke goes in another incredible run, takes out 2/ 3 players and Bamfird gets his hat trick! There is some talent out there today. When you get the chance what he the highlights! We could be seeing a glimpse of some of our future first team performances here!

11 Dec 2018 14:57:50
Well that was a pleasure to watch! Strange to see a under 23 game that actually answered a lot of questions about the First team squad.

Brown now looking fit, played the full ninety and looks class
Bamford hat trick, mixture of skill, good positioning and being brave.
Clarke, stunning second half, class every time he was on the ball, passed players for fun!

Harrison had a good 45, baker looked a lot better and got a goal.

Add into that, Clarke Odour, another good kid!

Really encouraging for the second half of the season.

Clarke still only played 45 mins. Bringing him on in the second half still seems to bring out the best of him and really stretches the play. If you can keep him fresh and use other legs for the first 45, why not?

Guys, wasn’t at the ground just watching it all online! The Burnley website claimed the game was going to be played behind closed doors! Put me off, I saw a lot of agents there but I think some fans went anywhere. Still great to watch!

What the under 23s are doing just gives me greater faith in what the whole club does. The games showcase the youth, give first teamers game time, give us a chance before in a way of playing and form a real bridge to the first team. It’s just so joined up. Brown and Bamford are going to be like Jan signings that have already been inducted into the ways of Bielsa. Harrison and Baker still very solid and good assets. Jack Clarke is definitely our wild card for this year that will win us games. Robbie Gotts and Clarke Odour, other Names from the squad that may well see more involvement in the first team plans. it’s a good time to be a Leeds Fan!

Clarke Shackleton Pearce all here when Cellino was in charge. Set up now is a lot better with academy teams reflecting the way the first team play. Think that has little to do with owners and more to do with Bielsa.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Dec 2018 08:04:05
Its interesting to see how the attacking element of the team get the headlines and guys like Stevens and Nicell who put the graft in to allow them to get forward do not get a mention poor lads. Fact is its same as first team in the effort the whole team put in and though its good to see guys like Bamford and Brown doing well and progressing its also good to see the togetherness and when the first teamers drop in for game time they are starting to respect the young lads. In the past some have treated it like a training session but now they know they have to be better than the guy they replace even in the U23s.

BIGE, good post. I think Bielsa really understands the team ethic. Also, if you drop into the under 23s and don’t take it seriously, that will be noted by the coaching team! Bamford was a good example yesterday, really put himself out. Harrison has had 2 good 45mins recently as well. Whether you are a kid or a returning pro it’s your route back into the first team!

Looking at the weekend fixtures could do with W Brom beating SU, then us winning to open a six point gap. Then we hope Forest get something from their trip to Derby. Could do with that five point gap going into Villa game to take pressure off. I think Jan will be our make or break time. Over Xmas chasing pack have games against each other but in Jan would say they have the easier games and the chance to catch up. Would be great to go into Jan with a six point gap which would mean we would have to lose three more games than anyone else for anyone to go past us. Going to be interesting these next couple of months.
