I have no rumours, after being part
of the fans pannel at Yorkshire radio last year, I
Can honnestly say I've heard nothing
Regarding the take over. Although it is something I hold dear to my heart. But what I want to say is a massive well done the England, the were passionate, battled and class against the French today nothing what I expected. Hats off to you boy! JC

Believable3 Unbelievable1

They were boring,team defending in 6 yard box Chelsea tactics and have no creativity going forward, it's like watching Leeds but concede less goals :(

Agree2 Disagree3

Well it made chelsea euro club champs, i hope it makes England European champions. history records who WINS not how well the losers played!

Agree2 Disagree0

Teams used to want to play like barca to win cups not they want to play like Chelsea lol

Hi fellow Leeds fans

I was just looking at the BBC website and saw Portsmouth fans are in talks to buy their club, It made me think I wonder if all our fans got together to buy out Bates and we could decide who takesover in the future.

surely we have enough fans around the world to do this maybe we should set up a buy Leeds utd get Bates out fund.

any comments?

Im confused that we are not signing players because we are due to be taken over or have a new investor, or its just a smokescreen for Ken because we got no money. Hopefully it can be sorted this week an we can know the truth.

Joe

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Don't think it's a smokescreen, to be fair to bates, I can understand that if he's selling up that he won't want to spend money on transfers, the more money sat in the clubs bank account, the more we're worth and therefore the more he'll make from a sale. This makes me think more and more that we're going to be taken over rather than invested in.

Fingers crossed that whatever happens its positive for us in the short AND long term and it enables Warnock to make some good signings, I'm already excited about seeing Pearce, just keeping my fingers crossed for some good news about a takeover and then for us to hopefully build a squad capable of what we've been desperate for for a long time which is getting back into the premiership!

any take over news ed? was warnock not due back today? rj {Ed013's Note - Still no news I am afraid although Eddie Gray has said that Neil will want to get his transfers in quick so surely that is an indication that Neil is staying or am I clutching at straws!}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

There is absolutely no reason to think that the investment/takeover has fallen through,or that NW will resign,if talks had broken down we would have heard by now,some of the poats on here beggar belief,it all points to negotiations progressing,IMO Bates has realised its time to go and will sell the club,for all we know there could be discussions with a few bidder going on,we will find out eventually,were still Leeds United at the end of thr day whatever happens,keep the faith.normy white.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great 1st reply! As per the reply, if the takeover had gone pear shaped, it would have been announced....things like a takeover take time (I work in recruitment and one of my clients has just bought another company worth approx £60m and that's taken 2 years from start to finish!!). I firmly believe the takeover (and believe it is a takeover and not simply investment) is still on and we'll maybe find out more either this or next week. Keep in mind that it was bank hols last Monday & Tuesday, Harvey was away and not back until late last week. Have patience everyone, please also stop the "we have a right to know" comments, we don't at all as we don't at all! I used to work there and was made redundant when ridsdale got us into trouble and was made so sign non disclosure agreements which took ages, bead in mind this is much more confidential and hopefully people will realise that ANY supposed rumours are just that and the people in the know about any deal, won't risk major repercussions of saying anything. I maintain we will find out what's going on when it's either finalised OR it's fallen through

ed??
with all the rumours flying around about the leeds united investment/takeover.
do you reckon mr bates will use this as an excuse not to sign players, of any quality if it all falls through with no investment/takeover??? {Ed013's Note - Very quiet mate unfortunately. I really think that the fans need to hear something this week as Neil is back from holiday. As soon as anything is announced we will put it on our twitter page @LeedsEditors}

who is the worst team in the euros so far(that has played).
gotta be ireland closely followed by denmark.
TS {Ed013's Note - Poland or Greece}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Ill go same as you ed, defo poland and greece. I didn't think denmark did to bad, don't forget they beat holland, that is no easy task. I also think the russians have played the more complete football at present.
mot4life

Agree1 Disagree0

Without a shadow of a doubt Ireland. I'm Irish and for some reason the whole country has build Ireland up for this Euros. In my opinion this is the worst Irish team I've seen us have in a very very long time. It's normally England who get built up then as normal comes to a shuttering halt :)

Agree1 Disagree3

Ireland yes, Czech Rep v poor......plus under par performances from Spain, Holland, Portugal!?

Agree0 Disagree1

Denmark were pretty solid and did what they had to do to win the game. probably better than England will do today

Agree2 Disagree2

Lets see how England get on and then ur opinion might change

Agree1 Disagree1

Im irish and while are perfomance yesterday was poor making stupid errors i think their 1st goal was very poor defensively by us which i was suprised by we are usually very good defensively the 2nd goal for croatia was offside twice and ward was fouled in the process we should have had a penalty and the third there was nothin we could do it bounced off given and in croatia deserved to win but ireland are not worst team in the euros we are in a very difficult group with three top sides we dont mind been beaten aslong as our players give their all its all we ask group a is the easiest group and as ed says poland and greece are very poor russia are a solid team in that group who will suprise a lot of the big teams particularly whoever finishes second in group B p.s Irish will always smile no matter the result we were just happy to get here

Re LUFC website:

Surely it wouldnt hurt for them to just release a "please be patient" statement or similar, just so it doesnt seem to us fans that we are being kept in the dark about everything ?

Feeling a bit disrespected at the moment with lack of any update whatsoever, as though we don't matter to the club ?

Not talking about takeover/investment details just an acknowledgement to pacify......

I must say the silence from ER is Deafening. Thought there would be some form of comment today.Just listened to YR news at 1 and Leeds Utd not even mentioned in the sport section.

This is why anothe is anothe. The man has no respect for the fans that pay top dollar, to watch top of the flops every week.

KB will be too busy sunbathing with a margarita in hand...Leeds Utd will be the last thing on his mind...

It is unusual that both NW and Bates are both quiet. It isnt in their nature

I dont understand why everybody is in a state of panic - AGAIN. The silence should tell you stuff is happening - in motion - potentially good. If Neil resigns, then things are bad. Simple.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Exactly CALM DOWN FELLAS

Agree5 Disagree2

We have a right to no as our money keeps the club going

Agree3 Disagree3

The club cannot afford to let NW resign.
It would be very damaging to the club.

Agree1 Disagree1

We have no right to know, thats like saying we have a right to know whats going on at tesco with them losing money simply because we spend money there! we have no ownership of the club therefore no right! as per the original poster, no news is good news, if it had fallen through then we'd all know. keep in mind these don't happen overnight and i'd prefer the club to concentrate to getting a deal sorted rather than needless announcements that we're still in progress......some people would then complain that they should concentrate on sorting it rather than meaningless messages

What a ridiculous statement to make
If we're looking to buy a season ticket don't we have a right to no what the clubs aims are before we buy
If you were buying Christmas vouchers from te*co you would like to no if they were trading in December

I know this might be stating hehe obvious but surely the lack of transfer activity both in and out is because whenever a takeover is being proceeded a transfer embargo comes with it! I certainly hope this is the case reason for the deafening silence...

Scot MOT!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Its because we dont have any cash to buy new players and nobody wants to buy from us due to KB wanting too much for our players ;-)

Agree4 Disagree6

We will start signing players in july after the players who's contracts run out this summer leave

Agree2 Disagree2

Half of them don't know were the goal is, never mind the door.

Ed any idea on NW situation? Staying or going? {Ed013's Note - He will only go if he isn't backed and if he has been lied to by Ken. One thing for sure, if he does go then he will spill the beans of what is going on at Elland Road}

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Surely we will get the answers out of our shambles of a football club early this week
The way Bates treats people is disgusting
