There is no way moyes should be anywhere near our club . I had a feeling in my water Evans would be a success and moyes isn't fit to lace his boots . Even before his epic failure at man yoo the man was a serial loser, never won a thing in his career . I would be spitting feathers if we lost the big fella and ended up with this clown!

I for one would take Evans before Moyes but let's put it to test Those in favour of Evans ( agree ) in favour of Moyes (disagree )

I hit the disagree button. I don't have a problem with Evans, he appears to be doing wonders. He has my full backing. But if you're doing a like for like comparison, you have to ask whether Evans would have been sacked any SOONER than Moyes, if Evans was manager at Manyoo and Real Sociedad.

Much love for Evans, but he wouldn't have lasted 5 matches at either club. Moyes is a better football manager, but Evans is a better people manager (or so it would seem).

Just an opinion, feel free to shoot me down in flames if you must.

If Evans had same results as in his first few games with us who knows how long he would last I've said before give the player confidence and you can get along way and Evans seems to do just that.

I think in many way Moyes under performed at Everton and spent some decent money with no trophy's. Evans is a manager on the up. So I'd take Evans all day. Although fergi did leave moyes with a poor team. Let's hope Evans becomes a leg end. Lol.

It's not about how they compare at Real Not Madrid or the Pride of Prawn Sandwiches. It's about who is better for us, Leeds United. It's Evans. He knows what it means to be Leeds and Yorkshire. He knows about plain speaking. Keep Evans, back him in window. Live and dream in Wonderland.

Moyes all day long. Done wonders at Everton on a budget.
Maybe Evans can do the same for us, time will tell, because he will have to work on a budget in comparison to most other championship clubs. Decent start though!

Evans 'gets' Leeds, Evans all day long for me.

I'll go with the chunky monkey on this one. I am worried for the guy though seriously, if we win the next game, he might tap out with a heart attack. Then bring Moyes in.

Didnt realize it was compulsory to agree with everyone on here?
I really hope Evans does wonders at Leeds but let's be honest Moyes has a far better managerial pedigree. Funny though, a couple of weeks back answers to question probably would have not been as pro Evans.

Evans ten minutes at Leeds United and he knows what it's like to be Leeds and Yorkshire!? I know he can talk the talk but don't believe everything you hear George.
I really really hope he becomes a Leeds legend as that would mean promotion at the very least. However, after one good, three ok and one dire performance I am not totally convinced he is our saviour.
As I say he says the right things including thanking Paul Hart for bringing through Mowatt and others?

Corkie old boy, you're entitled to your opinion and if everyone had the same opinion the world would be a dull place. Keep smiling, you're from the best country in the world, close to the best county (Mayo) , so life's sweet!

Come on you boys in green!

Where's Vid when you need him? DTP UTW!

I disagree cork. Moyes only lasted so long failing at Everton because they are happy with mediocre and failure!
I'm not saying Evans is better but Moyes has no pedigree. He has been found out since, big time. He has no passion! No idea! Hope he gets a nice little champ team to manage so we can leapfrog them but stay away from Leeds!

Aussie mate as MM says we're all entitled to our opinion.
But Moyes did do a terrific job at Everton. Top 6 or thereabouts most seasons, when other similar financed clubs flirted with, or got relegated.
However all that matters is Leeds and getting back up asap whoever is in charge.
On another note i've got the weekend off work in anticipation of an Ireland win tomorrow and some serious drinking to ensue!

As if by magic MM! My thoughts are track records are all open to interpretation and don't guarantee anything. We have had managers with pedigree who have achieved nothing. I really think success is about personality, character and attitude and belief. Evans has all the above, he "fits" Leeds and he is infectious with the players, you can see a bond already. He has not performed at this level before but that does not mean he cant, he has been very successful in lower league, I see no reason he can't step up, if you can drive a mini there is every chance you can drive a ferrari. I believe in him, nothing I have seen or heard makes me doubt he is going to make Leeds proud again.

Think Moyes deserves credit for keeping Everton top 6 (or thereabouts) most of the time he was there. However, I personally wouldn't swap Evans at the mo. Don't get me wrong, I won't try to kid anyone by saying I was happy when his appointment was announced - I was fuming and stunned but once it was confirmed he had my support (begrudingly) now he's here we should give him his chance, he hasn't done too bad so far (although Blackburn game was awful) we've changed managers too often this past 18 month so let's stick with someone for a bit to see how he does - that's my view on it anyway.

I totally agree Mel. There has been too many manager changes and Evans deserves a chance to show what he can do, and be given until the end of season at least.
My point really was that given the choice a month ago nearly every Leeds fan would have chosen Moyes over Evans because of his great track record from Preston onwards.
Now we need to support the big fella 100%.

You're right mate, if I was given the choice of Moyes or Evans I'd have picked Moyes every time until now., I also agree with you that Evans should be given his chance to prove himself and to try to stabilise and improve things now - I hope it works out for him as that will mean good things for the club and us lot for a change!

Just perusing the markets guys and gals and for the optimists amongst us, Bet365 are offering 500/1 Leeds to win the league 1/5 odds a place 1 2 3, and are 50/1 Leeds to be promoted. Do you feel lucky punks lol, Merry Christmas.

leeds promotion at them odds is worth a flutter but then I am ever the optomist, I also got england to win euros with Chris wood to score the winning goal in the final for england.

so 500/1 place would be 100/1 but 50/1 to go up.

50s includes going up via playoffs. We could come sixth and win promotion.
