Diego and Liam injured. Time for Struick to step in alongside big Koch.

Ridiculous if they are both injured; can stand internationals when this happens to our players.

Captain Cooper needs to accept the fact that he’s injury prone and knocking on 30 . Either retire from international football or resign the captaincy . This is getting stupid .

I thought the same red, not sure who it was but someone on here said that lorrente would get his chance when cooper gets injured over the international period now this may of been said as a joke but was accurate and if fans on this site can see it surely so can coops and the staff at Leeds, think coops did well against city but for me never a prem player and he is putting club career at risk as if injuries force him out of the team I can see him not being able to play way back into the side.

Only muscle strain for lorente apparently, a week until our next game so hopefully be ok.

I suspect Lloretes 'injury' came after he heard about Liams (appears that was kept quiet so team news wasnt available to opposition) .
Hoping it's made up to allow him to return to Leeds early to prepare.

Coops has been asked by his country to play and at 29 chances are running out so can't blame him for wanting to play both. I also fear he won't be able to fully step up but give him a chance eh?

Although Hamilton has surpassed Schumey's achievement I do think it was much tougher for Schumey to win those races. He did not always have the better car and had some world class competition. F1 now is simply too easy for Hamilton now with the advantages he has with the car. Its long overdue reform imo with the cars being equalised so that we can really see who the greatest driver is.

I'm amazed of all the teams mentioned Strachan has hardly been put in best Bielsa side. I'd of thought he'd be a shoe in with his talents and work rate? Suppose we all see things different.

Agree cork one of my first names on the team sheet in a belisa (or any) side.

I put the original post up, my bench would consist of,
Harvey, madeley, Matteo, Batty, Sheridan, Strachan, Charles.
A lot of these players could play multiple positions, however, I think Batts lack of effort for training may end him on bench, for me, if between him or Phillips contending for the number 4 role with billy.

Strachan is one of the best ever Leeds players. end of.

He is indeed but I went for Lorimer, who could also do a bit.

12 Oct 2020 09:10:13
Very valid point Cork however, when I went for my own team they were not necessarily the best players by ability on a FIFA ratings perspective.

For myself, it was the memories they invoke and the excitement they brought to me at the time. I’m 57 so the 92 Wilko times were just magical for me. Also we weren’t always successful and I nearly went for Ian Baird as he always appeared like he would sooner die than lose a game. Which is why I went for Sniffer I thought he was just magical and cool too with the one are salute after scoring. (no Shearer you were not first! )

In midfield I JUST went for Mcallister over Strachan as I loved his ability to create, he certainly never had the all action performance like Strach’s but to me he always seemed like a thoroughbred race horse against many of the guys and thunder midfielder’s of the time.

So the best for me certainly not the best ever, hence no John Charles my dad still raves about him as being one of the best ever period! I just don’t remember him hence my Leeds team which takes me most to my happy place when Nurse says.

Strachan a complete Bielsa type player as with Pablo.

Both Strachan and Pablo both have been absolutely VITAL players, catalysts for Leeds United success as without them Leeds United would respectively NOT have been promoted in seasons 1989-1990 and 2019-2020.

For me it’s easy to put Strachan on the wing as I never saw Lorimer but if post was all time I think I’d have to go for Lorimer over Strachan (just)

I know most have Bremner down as our greatest ever player and I can see why but for me Lorimer beats billy as greatest ever player. He made his debut for Leeds at 15 and played till he was 124. Hardest shot in football top scorer and could play as well . I never was lucky enough to see them play but looking over the fottage which I have done for many an hour gray and lorminer are the two that make me smile the most.

Indeed hopefully very soon partial capacity crowds will be back at Elland Road and by the end of the season full capacity.

Sadly I think there’s no chance of full capacity this season. Won’t be any partial crowds until March at the earliest, and doubt we’ll see anything over 30% by the end of the season.

Think it is a huge mistake not going for Benrahma, he is a very good player, who would have improved more under bielsa and think he will kick on in premiership. Let's hope raphi is as good as stated and don't regret it.
About 5 days till Uk window closes, think Radz Orta have done very good dealings and pleased with who we have brought in, still fancy that MF that can change a game, maybe Rodrigo is that player that can come collect the ball and open up things. May get stuck for this but I think we will be looking at a striker in January, I think bamford done well so far and do believe he makes us stronger but feel he will miss too many chances, hope I'm wrong and he gets 20+, time will tell.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Oct 2020 11:19:48
Tend to agree with you Mel. Bamford looks good on the ones he scores but misses too many for my liking. The old Andy Cole adage. He will score you 30 a season you just need to give him 200 chances a season. Maybe the answer is Rodrigo maybe the answer is in the U23s? Another one to have faith in "the Management".

Pretty sure there will be bo other signings by Leeds in the domestic window . perhaps only a gk loan

Leeds appear to not really be interested ( enough) in Cantwell

Melbourne not sure how it is a ' huge mistake ' not going for Benrahma as :
1) Brentford always somehow seem to manage to get top dollar for their players and want £30 million for Benrahma ; that would be a record signing fee for Leeds and it is unlikely they could afford to sign him

2) It also seems that West Ham will sign Benrahma and let's be honest they can afford to pay him higher wages than Leeds could . there is no way Benrahma would choose Leeds over West Ham for that reason alone along with others such as remaining in London .

But yes we probably need more firepower up front but it seems for the time being at least Bielsa does not think so.

Buying a player is based on lots of thing’s and even though benramah looks a good player I’m not sure he’s a Bielsa signing. He has talent but has he the work rate and personality to fit in at Leeds? Having seen a social media video of him in the off season I’m pretty sure I’d be happy to see him in east London.
