Agree Class, such bad luck, got up there had a great start with little prep. Then games cancelled due to teammates picking up the virus, and then he gets injured in training.

Well done Jamie, 4 year contract, great reward for all the hard work. I think that's a contract that says we see him as part of the future. Think he might be squad and bench this year but reminded us of what he could do in the last two games and seemed to form a nice little relationship with Poveda, who really is a new signing for us with the benefit of an extended Bielsa preseason. Really think Shackleton, Poveda and Struick will have a part to play next year.

Think we are handling the arrivals and stayers very professionally this year. Nobody can say we haven't tried with White but I think now we'll see two cheaper CBS arriving and a couple more attacking options.

I am staggered we have offered 30 million for white.
Time to move on and not be held to ransom by Brighton. He may be a fantastic player and I think he wants to play at Leeds, but 30 million. No prem experience. Crazy money.

Totally agreed, should be able to get a prem standard defender and have 10 mill to put towards a striker or #10.
Yes Ben knows Bielsas ways but he did from the start of last season with just a pre-season (he was just about the only one who hasn't had 2 seasons now) so Bielsa can get a new person up to speed if we buy the right person this week.

At this impasse, the only acceptable compromise for both parties is another loan. That is if we do not instigate a Plan B. We get Ben, Brighton keep their preferred CBs and get one years more experience for their own "one for the future".
Of course they may well be in the Championship next year so may be desperate to sell in 12 months.

Let's all remember when we got all bothered about signing Bartley after his loan spell ended, then we thought we were goosed because we got an unproven league 1 loanee,

History has shown that worked out quiet well for us, if Ben don't sign, let's move on.

It’s looking quite possible that we are forced by the deal already made with RB Leipzig to keep JKA although perhaps at a reduced price due to his poor fitness levels. Not much good to us though being lumped with a sick note player.
Or, can he achieve a stable fitness and make a great contribution with the guidance of Bielsa?!
This story has gone quiet for a while, I wonder what the outcome of this will be?

I see that saints player hloberg went too spurs for £20m and is a seasoned prem player. Full international and we are being held too random for a player never too play in the prem yet. And not even an international. he needs to put in a transfer request. ASAP.

What is your source Whitemsn that a £30,million bid has been made/ will be made by Leeds for BW

Brighton may not wish to sell BW so if he really wants out he has to put in a transfer request and force it.

Seems agreed that 30 million was offered and rejected by Brighton. So surely has to be time to call their bluff and move on. See if Liverpool and Chelsea come in and offer more in which case we would probably never have got him anyway!

If they don’t then down to Brighton to manage their centre backs and make sure he is happy or he winds down his contract and waits for a move. I like him but over 39 million can surely be better spent!

I hope Leeds have already identified alternatives to BW . we need to move on from BW. it most likely is NOT going to happen for many reasons such as:


1.Brighton probably do not plan to sell BW
2.Even if they ae open to sell him it seems they want a ridiculously over inflated transfer fee of around £40 million
3.There are no doubt equally as good or better defenders out there than BW probably available at much better value lower prices
4.BW and his agent appear to annoyingly be holding the stick from both ends by still NOT putting in a transfer request which would definitely assist in forcing a move

Leeds really need to be looking at alternatives to BW because he will very likely not be signing for Leeds and we need to buy a central defender asap to have maximum time. assimilating into BielsaBall preseason training.

If this source is correct that Leeds have offered 30 Mil and it’s rejected by Brighton then it’s over, bar a transfer request by Ben White himself and that’s where it gets messy.

Disappointed for Ryan Edmundson. Leapt at the opportunity to get up to Aberdeen and play. Came off the bench for the final 30 mins of the first game without training with his team, looked like he could get the nod for the next couple of games only to see them called off due to the antics of some of his teammates! Not the kind of professionalism that he was used to at Leeds. Scottish football not making a good start to the new season.
