Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

12 Mar 2014 22:59:30
So what's the general feeling amongst you lit about this takeover? You think we are going to get it? If not what does the future hold?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really hope it happens, and tbh regardless of FPP, i'd rather a crook with money bought us right now than the alternative

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2014 22:41:46
i know this isn't a rumour but can someone explain to me the logic of bringing in loan players, up till christmas we were'nt brilliant but we were steady but since the introduction of these loan players we have gone backwards. Now as in any work force bringing in new people has one of two effects it either makes you fight for your place or give up and sulk, we seem to have done this every season and not one of the loan players has been a success, and the squad has been destabilised.why can't we get a squad and let it grow and go through a season without this loan fiasco.when you look at successful clubs the squad and the team hardly varies from week to week the players get to know each other and you get a TEAM, which we haven't had since david o'learys side.to conclude let's back brian send the loan players back and let the elder statesmen such as brown and tonge lead the less experienced players and build a solid team until the end of the season.then we can start again.please can we not play zalukis, peltier, stewart and kebe in front of far better players from the developement squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would any manager select a loan player above all others. Puzzles me

Agree0 Disagree0

"please can we not play zalukis, peltier, stewart and kebe in front of far better players from the developement squad."

Amen to that!

Still don't know why Poleon isn't in the starting eleven, he may not be the best but he knocks shi* out of the likes of Kebe and Stewart?

I have followed Leeds over 50 years and last night I left after 50 minutes, the first time ever, Why?
It was the pain, to watch something you love slowly dying is too much to bare, dramatic maybe, but it's the last 12years of the same lying, conning owners and useless managers, enough is enough!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hear Hear this once great club has been destroyed by people who have not had the best interests of the club at heart. Just ones who want to make a fast buck.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hate to say this, after supporting Leeds for well over 40 years, but I really can't justify spending over a hundred quid to travel up to Leeds and watch the dishonest performances of most of the present players.

There is unrest, obviously, which may account for some of this problem, but at the end of the day that is what the word 'professional' means? You get paid to do a job, and a dam sight more than I do as a payer of your wages!!

What does the recent update on OS actually mean?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

NOTHING!

Agree0 Disagree0

Same as Brian phoning in sick with Spanish tummy, doctor bans him from Elland road/Thorpe arch for 72 hours. some one else takes the team and we beat Burnley. you won't know UNTIL IT HAPPENS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading between the lines I think it is an attempt to somehow dispel the view on the part of some (mostly in the manc press) that the information provided to the FL by GFH themselves has been inadequate. i.e. the apparent anomaly of how gfh can sell 75% of a club when they didn't have 75% to sell, amongst other things.

Agree0 Disagree0

They had to make some sort of announcement before tomorrow's disappointment.

Agree0 Disagree0

We know GFH are a bunch of chancers who thought they would make a profit in the short term without realising what they were getting into.

No wonder Bates held out, until he found a gullible company like GFH who hadn't got a clue what Leeds were about.

I hope I am wrong but I think the FL are deliberately out to see Leeds go out of business, and for any of you who quote 'conspiracy theory' at me, just look at the past and see how many times Leeds have been kicked in the proverbials by the FA or FL?

They are now waiting on Cellinio being found guilty on the tax evasion charge, contrary to the 'innocent till guilty' principle, if that doesn't stick I am sure they will find another problem, like his star sign, or his shoe size, or wearing dark glasses.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You should move up to Scotland mate, you sound like a The Rangers fan with your everyone's against us stuff.}

13 Mar 2014 00:48:17
apparently gfh only own around 50% of club. The plot thickens and none of it looks good for GFH.

i know what happened last night and why game was delayed brian went into wrong dressing room first and gave his team talk to his beloved reading then realised he's at leeds now lol!! nickybee

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Any team given a teamtalk by bmd wouldn't have played as well as reading did

12 Mar 2014 20:15:14
i think we need a good defensive coach like we had in g.g. build from the back etc because until we sort this shower out we ain't going nowhere! nickybee

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Above post absolutely spot on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Need David O'Leary then . When his Leeds defence went a bit leaky, he said he would get them on the pitch and coach them his self. didn't concede for about 10 games after that.

Mind you he was a proper Leeds manager!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2014 22:41:46
Is that same David oleary that spent 100 million and won nothing?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well i'd rather have oleary in charge, win nothing but be where we were.
and we had some great entertainment and great nights.
you prefer what we have them? mm shrew leeds

I fancy Tim Sherwood, hate to say it but some of the players need voldermort(fergie) treatment. Nice gets you no where in this day and age. We need passion. And also to learn the fundamental rule off football that I was taught as a six year old. Pass and move.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I can understand that Con, he does have very nice hair and Ed003 has a crush on him too.}

Cheers for that Ed. Didn't even realise ha

Could have, would have, should have, but didn't! Another inspiring post match interview.

Sounds as if BMcD has run out of ideas, I'd like to think he's not lost the dressing room but based on what I'm seeing on the pitch it's beginning to look like he has.

Massimo is trying to deflect the attention firmly onto the players in a noble effort to protect Brian and I agree their performance deserves criticism but the leader has to take responsibility!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 16:33:31
think people are being to harsh on McDermott, can't win every week, been beaten by a few clubs on trot who are better teams, let's see who new owners buy in summer because playoffs is not going to happen this time round

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you for real, this guy is tactically clueless, he's inept in every department and then blames the takeover on everything. This guy will get us nowhere near the playoffs this year, next or ever, he's only capability is relegation and he's dong a good job of getting us close to that! Wake up mate it ain't happening and the sooner the FL give Cellinio the OK he'll be gone hopefully!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't be serious "can't win every week" this team under his management, the team that he has assembled, on last nights performance would not win any week, wake up I believe its 2 ( yes 2 wins in 15)it's an absolute shambles, he has tried all the formations he knows and fell lucky a few times, if this season had started Jan 1st we would be on our way to div1 . LEEDS UNITED IS A MASSIVE CLUB. as a manager you need Balls of steel, arrogance, personality, and tactical ability, GOODBYE BRIAN.

Only beaten bottom of league with a wind assisted fluke since xmas with bmd in charge! can't win every week i'd settle for a win every month at the moment!

"can't win every week"

Just realised - that formation from last night is the same one we got drummed by the wendies with!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Talking about old information, the statement just released by GFH tells us absolutely nothing we didn't know already, utterly useless statement, be so glad when they take the money and run.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not quite. Against Wendies we played with wing backs and wide players. We had Peltier and Pugh as wing backs and Kebe and Stewart as wingers/wide midfield.
Last night was 3, 5, 2. Wendies was more like 5, 2, 3 or even 5, 4, 1. We only had 2 centre midfielders against Wendies and 3 last night.
Actually last night formation nothing laike wendies as we also had 2 strikers (3 by end) last night!

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares about the finer points,
we could of played
1, 10, 10 and 5 up front and we`d still be embarrassed.
Pathetic show from all concerned

You'd have thought that BMD would've known how to beat HIS old team as he goes on about them that much. "During the war" etc. let's get the ownership sorted then no more excuses about how its affecting the players, they're nervous blah blah blah.
Just hold your hands up and admit that the players you have brought to the club are garbage and not up to it!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 13:31:02
It's when a club is in turmoil that a good manager shows his metal, he lifts the players and motivates then to play for the shirt. BDM has done none of this and has sat back and moaned about how long the takeover is taking. The players must take some of the blame but BDM go now you are not what we want for the Mighty Leeds United Manager. Time to go. MOT

"We played a system that we thought we'd be able to attack with but it didn't work out." . story of your season Coco!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 12:28:39
As well as sticking the boot into BMD which is justified, how about berating the players for their clueless, gutless performances. Surely a manager is entitled to believe that his players have basic skills like passing, crossing and shooting etc and also show commitment and desire.
Too easy to blame formations, tactics etc the truth of the matter is the players aren't good enough or care enough to wear the white shirt.
If BMD is to go, whoever takes over has a mammoth job on his hands. There needs to be a wholesale clear out imo, very few of the current squad is good enough for Leeds. MOT Ron.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree about the players! But the Manager is the one who sees the players every day, sees what they are capable of should be able to suss em before matchday!
Part of his remit as Manager is Motivation, Training (inc application of skills) & Man Management getting the best out of various players, Sadly Brian seems to be lacking in all those depts or the players are taking advantage of his good nature in which is where the other coaches & club captain steps up with Leadership (i'm not sure if Ross is a natural Leader) He seems to have gone missing since being give the Captaincy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id say one player who does seem to care is smith but the manager only gives him scraps at the end of game and smith still rewards him with a goal!

I think cellino has lost interest in lufc, he's stopped funding it seems he's not so confident in gaining football league clearance.why else would he stop funding a club he thought was going to be his in a few days time?.gfh should have talked to Cadman group weeks before now, because if cellino walks we will end up in administration meaning 10pts deduction means relegation dogfight.

Just read on tv an Sky home pages about BMD "calling for stability" and "admitting concern" about the effect of the takeover. Sorry but I am sick of hearing this, YOU are THE MANAGER, its your responsibility to manage the players and get results regardless. You are all paid plenty anyway. The fans are the lifeblood and I bet you we pump a larger % of our incomes into the club than anyone. We are "concerned" because we are being shafted, in every sense. Grow up, take some responsibility and DO SOMETHING even if its putting your tail between your legs and slinking off. Oh, sorry forgot, you would not get the rest of your contract paid up if you did that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This man has no pride left and has no idea how to manage a football club, the only thing missing is the red nose on his face, we were bad under Warnock but this clown is worse and I never thought that possible. There is no doubt in my mind that Malky would turn this squad into table toppers but alas we can't afford to sack BMD and he's too thick to see he's the biggest loser in Leeds since Venables. I for one was happy when they sacked him first time, but oh no all those out these were saying how nice he was. was Cloughie nice, no, was Bob Paisley nice, no, was Fergie nice?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2014 11:29:59
Regardless of last nights dire performance, I am now worried that if Cellino gets knocked back or decides to give it all up as a bad job we will have to pay him the outstanding debts probably along with interest. He has been funding the club for 2 months, so my outcome is administration(again)points deduction and dare I say it division 1 football. Then the Farnham bid will rear its ugly head so they can say they saved Leeds United, its probably me being ott and not explaining myself properly(im In a rush).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 11:18:12
Sack McDermott
And gets this shambles in order, or we are going to be in really bad trouble,
Most of the team can't grace the championship either! I'm so annoyed the way this football team is going(of and on the pitch)

seems clear this morning reading the news about Cellinos frustration and quite rightly refusing to float the club until approved - seems clear that this news was held back til this morning but that it clearly leaked through to the players ( or was announced )last night before they played - and had a huge demoralizing affect. No wages and no monthly loan re-payments on Kebe and Co except Cellinos signings. No excuse for players - the wages they earn they should grow up and realise what most men earn a month on average - its a disgrace. Cellino knows this. He is right to do hold back funds - he has been misrepresented in the media and its a Poor do! Needs sorting now asap - F.league are well out of order

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 09:56:20
Another poor result last night and away to Burnley on Saturday, oh dear hopefully not another whippin' but I can't see why not our defence is complete garbage. A lot of people say we are poor going forward but I reckon our defence is worse and probably the worst defence we have had. Some of those goals conceded yesterday were like sunday football errors.

After that it's Millwall, Bournemouth, Doncaster and Charlton. Three of those games at home. Surely if we can't get some wins here BMCD will be sacked by Cellino.

The following suggestion was forwarded to the Chief Exec by 2 different fans and I like it as well.
No player should be allowed to wear the badge without proving his passion, skill and loyalty for the club and supporters.
All players would wear the shirt but only fit and proper players can wear the badge.
I think it would make every player prove he was worthy.
Comments please and let the club know if you agree.
Jeff

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That would save the club some money as it would vastly reduce the wage bill

Agree0 Disagree0

I think its a great idea only problem is who decides who can wear the badge hopefully not BMC otherwise Kabe would have got it for running around a lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think its a ridiculous idea and divisive, if they're not fit to wear the badge what the hell are they doing at Elland Road in the first place, signing better quality players would be a better idea, we need Cellino passed fit and proper, wave goodbye to Mac, and get somebody in who knows what the hell they're doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think our team is divided enough without over emphasising it on the pitch. I think this would be a stupid idea and do nothing for team unity.

I hope this take over goes through this week the club needs some stability after the weeks of crap. I do think what is going on does influence the players no matter what bmd says. I know when it happens at work with take overs threats of not getting paid it does influence you. The players at the moment are not loyal to Leeds especially if they think they might not get paid all this started back in December so the only people to blame are the arabs who have shafted us.

I do like BMD, but a sad fact is that he has been here nearly a year and he still does not know what his best team or best formation is

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 07:55:34
To be honest I don't think BMD is the problem, I still have faith in him. I think the problem is that the players don't have any heart, passion or responsible for Leeds.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - but surely that's the managers job!..bmc is a really nice guy but being nice wins you nothing, Graeme sourness once said " show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser"..

There is something very wrong at the club at the moment, its like we are stumbling along in a coma. There is nothing from the players, don't understand, they have a responsibility to the club and we the supporters and surely to promote themselves to Cellino. BMD is all over the place, we are in a tailspin and he ain't the pilot to pull us out of it. The FL must make a decision tomorrow, this is like the Japanese Water Torture, its tearing everyone apart

I have been a Leeds united fan for 31yrs and I can honestly say I have never seen a team as worse as we have now. Even under Warnock with the hoof ball tactics we looked a better side. I know most people will read this post and disagree with my comments but I feel that more will agree than disagree.

First thing, I have defended BMD probably more than the majority of Leeds fans in the past saying he is a good manager and needs time. I can't anymore I'm afraid Brian. Tactics are all wrong, signings haven't been great (Stewart, Kebe and Hunt need to go) Players who deserve a chance need to be played now more than ever (Poleon, Dawson, Ariyibi, Taylor and maybe even Lenighan)

Play offs are gone and realistically they have been gone for a few weeks now so we should start getting the youth players brought in and get them some experience and a good pre-season under their belts for next season.

Massimo Cellino in my opinion will get the approval he needs and I'm confident even at this stage he has a proven manager already sat waiting to take over (more than likely Italian but who cares) and I'm sure he has already got a list of players who need to be moved on and players who we need to bring in.

Lets face it all over the park we look weak, shocking and lack passion. If you have no passion then I'm sorry but you should not be walking out onto that famous turf wearing that famous white shirt.

My opinion these should be the players to leave:
Kenny, Lees, Peltier, Zaliukas, Warnock, Hunt, Kebe, Stewart, Tonge, Brown, Varney, Drury, Norris, Diouff and maybe even White. I realise that is 16 players from our squad but they are all either coming to the end of their contracts, being loaned out or not pulling their weight.

The players who we MUST keep and rebuild around in my eyes are McCormack, Byram, Mowatt, Smith, Pearce, Poleon, Austin, Murphy, Dawson. If we can turn Wickham and Butland into permanent signings then great. I feel sorry for these guys coming to a poor team on loan to get games and having to take the field with the rest of the morrons who don't deserve to be there.

I'm sure Massimo has a master plan for next season and it will be the most interesting summer since the Premiership days I reckon.

Even through all this I will never desert my team and be LUFC while ever my heart beats

Cant get rid of stewart as soon as he's signed and some of them players have played orite

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree, first 55mins last night was the worst football I have witnessed. It was just a total disorganised mess, even now Brian couldn't tell you his best 11, all the players just don't seem to want to play for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

You didn't mention pugh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the players mentioned we accepted most of those along the way because we either had no money to buy better or nobody would come to us, hopefully the situation soon will be the opposite and we can then build a better squad with a real chance of getting promoted getting rid of this lot is a priority in the summer

After the Rochdale/ Sheff Wed embarrassment McDermott said we have to get back to the basics, well after the Bolton/ Reading embarrassment, I suggest he goes back to coaching school, Bolton was bad enough, but the first 55mins last night was something else, Long ball, it was like a poor Wimbledon, it was absolutely shocking, Were S**t and were sick of it sang the Kop and rightly so, his ramblings to Adam Pope made as much sense as his tactics, going on that it's been like this for 10 years, WRONG, the team promoted from div1 would p**s all over this one.

Never mind the Kop what about the south stands "its just like watching Brazil." LOL

Well I never thought I'd sea 11 players in a Leeds shirt showing absolutely no idea how to play football! I apologise for my foul mouth in the north east corner as my frustrations boiled over, I'm afraid I was wrong about BMcD, he's not the messiah and got to go.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2014 04:26:35
I don't think BMcD should be sacked. because he should resign. If he waits for the sack, it proves that his main concern is money. He does not deserve to be paid for such garbage. Times up Brian. Maybe Reading are looking for a cheerleader.
