We have a game in hand on teams in 6th and 7th if we win that we are nine points off play offs with 27 points to play for and next 3 games are very winnable with beradi back wood back antinucci on form team playing with belief. I said in earlier post other teams have come from nowhere and shocked everyone is it impossible for us to do the same. We love you Leeds Leeds Leeds.

Well, I have to be surprised at nicking three wins, but it's too early to be discussing playoff position (or too late depending on how you look at it) . Three wins doesn't make us Premiership material/ prospects.

You're right George, we should have gone all out for him . The man's quality and made such a difference for them . Even still, with a bit of luck we could be there or thereabouts.

Agreed with George. We have a better overall XI than the Wendies. Plonk Forestieri in our team and we'd swap places.

Hope big steeevie has finally got the message about wonton.
no accident we win 3 on bounce and SW dropped. I would add this is not the only reason, more positive, starting with ant, beradi returning all auger well for the run in.

Feel a bit sorry for him because he does work hard when picked, sadly hard work and endeavour need to be coupled with ability, . which he doesn't have.

All the best scott for next season, wherever you end up!

We can't surely be the next leicester, can we?

Pie up date, MC commissioned me to supply a pie that would fill SE's gob, I contacted the Denny Dale pie company but after calculating the volumetric capacity of their world record breaking pie versus SE's gob they were quite sure he would still be able to speak to the press. However their technical Bod's worked out that if I acquired two shipping containers, removed the doors and roofs and butt welded them together then we would just squeak through. All I need is a herd of Wilder beast for the filling. I'm getting Desperate Dan!

PS. Jeff any update on the minibus? Is Mc driving it?

Evans is a T**T

You have last years leading goalscorer and you do what?

Just totally ignore him?

You now think he 'might' warrant a contract renewal?

Why is he not the first option in your team and get others to play around him?

Oh, I forgot, you prefer to play Wooton and hope Wood will come back?

Be honest. what has Wood done for Leeds other than the occasional tap in from a couple of yards out?

How much did we pay for Wood?

Time to get rid, I think?

Give me Antenucci every time, at least he goes looking for balls rather than sitting there waiting for one to come across?

Yep, Happy days, my money was on it.

. just have to ask why it's taken this long just to win three games on the trot?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2016 22:16:39
wood played a large part of the season isolated, he's the type of striker who needs service and wasn't getting any.
Ant and the duke are forming a bit of an understanding now so likely makes sense to keep them together for now.
Wood is a definite asset and will get goals, needs to work on hold up play to bring in ant and midfielders and will always be a pest for defenders, . and will get goals when there is less attention on him.

Becoming more optimistic about next season.

As for big steeeeeevie.

Im not keen to call any manager a Tw@7 following 3 wins on the bounce, a tad unfair me thinks.

(make that 4 when we beat our six fingered friends from down the M62 next week)

12 Mar 2016 18:46:48
Great few results on the bounce - very happy and long may it continue. Not many folks having a pop at SE or MC at the minute - funny how a few results change things. Let's stay united and keep the positive vibe. If we can keep this going and a few of the others results go our way then who knows. MOT.

12 Mar 2016 19:00:48
Just hope he realises how good Antenucci can be rather than think he is 'last chance saloon'?

Last seasons top scorer and he ignores him for most of the season?

But of course, Steve, it's all down to your coaching rather than proven goalscorers ability?

Lets have less inane chat to the press, just shut up and concentrate on the team, not your public profile. zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Agree0 Disagree4

12 Mar 2016 19:17:52
First off SE has been here just half the season, not most.

Second it was Loser who tinkered with Antenucci making first team to begin with which began a trend.

Third as a result SE was entitled to find his feet and work out who and what was best going forward.

Fourth about a month ago Antenucci played awful.

Fifthly SE does talk weird sometimes but that will have everything to do with his monitor, Cellino. Difficult to know what to say when he is in charge making decisions. Maybe using the word "might" helps the situation with the Italian spurring him on.

Sixth we won today 3 on spin so little need for your criticism right now.

Otherwise, spot on.

Agree4 Disagree0

12 Mar 2016 19:46:45
Sorry, but when you have a player who scored the most goals last season you have to look at how and why?

Antenucci may have played awful a month ago, but we could say the same about almost every player in the team? Antenucci has been left out of the team through most of Evans reign, full stop.

This guy is a proven goalscorer, and according to SE himself HE runs the team, not Cellino.

As I said, what has Wood done this season? I note you make no comment on this?

You might not like my criticism, but SE has had the players at his disposal and still stuck with people like Wootton despite the disastrous consequences?

Anytime now, when we are safe from relegation, Evans will be playing all the guys who should have been in the team months ago, and if he gets it right, it will all be his doing.

I am not anti Evans, by any means, but how long does it take him to realise he doesn't need to go looking elsewhere when we have home grown players that WILL play for the shirt?

Really don't believe Bridcutt saying he'd love to go back to Brighton, where's the loyalty and future in that one?

I am one happy bunny right now with my money behind Leeds winning 3 on the trot, but it has been a long time coming, and in my opinion, down to one person.

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Mar 2016 02:37:22
Wood has qualities. Holds ball up. Eye for goal from distance. However he is not a 3m player. More like half that amount. He has several weaknesses. Antenucci is class. Tbh he reminds me a little of Bergkamp. I want him to stay. Hopefully a contract offer is put his way soon and he accepts. Back to Wood though and your criticism of SE a tad harsh. I know it's frustrating because it looks like we are going to go on a run and be left wishing the season was 47 matches long. If you have to make this type of criticism save it for Wooton versus Coyle. You won't have many dissenters there. If Cellino gives Evans proper money in the summer we can make top 6 in 2017.

what a difference a week makes, 9 points and a fabulous response to the debacle that was Brighton.
while there may be several reasons for this, I don't believe I'm the only one who is thinking perhaps it has to do with having a specialist right back in the team.
I like big Steve and believe he deserves his chance next season, but don't smugly look back on this week thinking your a football genius, because if you had made this change 10 or 12 games ago as many on here were constantly pointing out we may well have been around the playoffs in what is a below average championship season.
well done this week lads, long may it continue,

SE has made a rod for his own back, he has totally ignored what was staring him in the face, and played people out of position. He's now found Murphy can play footall? Durr?

He is now finding Antennuicci can score goals. Durr?

Someday he might realise we already have a team capable of promotion, but not until he drops his best mate Wooden.

Sorry for not using correct betting terminology. Yes it is a treble not an acca and I stand corrected.

If you're going to be pedantic it's Rotherham (with a capital letter) and spelt with an 'm' not 'n'. Leeds and Fulham should also be capitalised. You should really only be using numericals after number nine, i. e. 10 and you started your post with a lower case letter.

Because when Cellino said it it was immediately after Bamba and Wooton had demonstrated that their defensive prowess was equivalent to a couple of blind muppets fighting their way out of a sealed garbage bag but they were also fitted in straight jackets with an uncrackable combination lock and we just lost 4-0.
