If Cardiff offer 8 mil for snoddy let him go, more than 1.5 for clay ton and I'm happy, sale of others we will be looking at 11mil budget for NW to work with as long as ken keeps hands off, white it fussed either way but could make it as much as 13 mil. A lot of people say we just got rid of our main players when I would relish players NW could bring in. I would like to see with that sort of budget:
Smithies(thanks linnets but this lad is young and has more potential)
Smith(older but the desire and passion we need to get out of this league, got the head to capt us to promotion)
Whittingham(lovely creative midfielder to play alongside smith)
Ambrose
(Another creative box to box mid who can score goals and is wasted at CP)
Surman( not only time for us to get a player from the yellow s**te, but he's a quality left sided player that's fell out of favour recently)
Pilkington ( also from yellow carp shirts but would add serious quality!)
Rhodes(young and ambitious striker)
Beckford(known quality and clearly wants to play for us)

You are deluded

Only player there with the slightest chance of coming to er is ambrose. all others will be far too expensive and as for smith... no thanks

Get real, no-one is gonna be paying anywhere near 8 mill for Snoddy. He only has a year left and he is not worth that anyway.
Agree4
Disagree0
So you dont just want the has been Smith back, you want him as captain and all,you need to get out more and keep taking the tablets.
Agree1

The weird smith obsessions bk I see (yawn) other fans must cringe at these desperate attempt to bring back an old hasbeen thats over weight
Agree1
Disagree0
Can't believe out of the whole post all of you only seen smith!
Agree1
Disagree0
I wouldnt mind Beckford back, Rhodes would be a very welcome addition, and some others aret a bad shout either but the reason people commented upon Smith is no doubt the fact that his names been mentioned so much on this page alone, its irritating and weve only just finished this season, the transfer window is gonna be a nightmare if this continues. Its just embarassing Mac

New team as follows:
GK: Westwood (or McCarthy or Robinson)
(sub: LONERGAN)
DEF: Ward, Pearce, Bamba, WHITE
(sub: Halford, LEES)
MID: SNODGRASS, Ambrose, Clingan, Boyd
(subs: Green, McCleary)
FOR: Beckford, Bothroyd (or Deeney)
(sub: BECCHIO)
Would be Champions IMO -& only strikers would cost much (sell McCormack & Clayton to help finance; Snoddy stays until at least Xmas)

How about Alan smith as Player-Coach this year. Then have Warnock groom him into being a good manager to take over when he retires at the end of the season?
He could then take up a role as Manager/Player (training/playing with team would help him work out who was and wasn't a good player until he gets an instinctual eye for talent like Warnock - Also Mick Jones could stay on to guide him through his first couple of seasons
Agree3

Ha ha I bet you all cry everyday, praying to your alan smith posters that he comes back 1 day, you all sound like freaks who stalk your ex girlfriend coz you can't get over her, don't worry boys live goes on, plenty more fish in the sea

i am a leeds fan but putting posts that because someone is from leeds makes him a good player ive heard it all. yes he has scored goals but why dont you all just let warnock get the players he wants and encourage them when they are signed after all he knows better than us or if you think you no best then why are you not managers. sick of hearing ex leeds players or there son was born in leeds so lets buy him leeds are a nationally supported club like me i am from peterborough but support leeds and it does not make me any less of a supporter but stop all the crap talk and get behind the new team we will have soon

Watching mk dons v huddersfield. Great game. For town I wouldn't mind peter Clarke and Jordan Rhodes in a Leeds shirt. Grayson has got them playing really well.
Also been impressed with mk dons.
Alan smith upfront was superb, especially first half. Second half held ball up well, tackled hard, challenged for every header, his passing and throughballs were top quality. But came off after 65 min with a niggle. Dean bowditch centre attacking midfield reminds me of a young Lee bowyer, he would be good player for Leeds. Dean lewington left back , looks like billy Bremner, played solid.

Look, NW has already stated he's signing young, hungry, up-and-coming players who will be assets to Leeds United beyond next season. If from that you can find any reason why he'd want Finished Smith, you really must be even dafter than I thought. {Ed037's Note - Maybe he thinks of him as a coach/role model for the younger players as well as a player in his own right?}
Agree7
Disagree2
I think Warnock and his team have enough coaching acumen between them already. We really need to leave all talk of Smith behind. It's time to look forward, not back. Smith is part of the past. His abilities, even at his peak, have been hyped up way above what they really ever were. He's not worthy of all the tripe hankering after his return every flaming close season/transfer window. Stories of his return aren't rumours, they are wishful thinking by a few who refuse to take his poster off their bedroom walls.
Agree9
Disagree0
Warnock said they wont all be 37 yr olds not there wont be any oldies . they cant all be young players in the team . come back smith

Just watching the mk dons huddersfeld match. Having heard all the alan smith posts lately i urge you to see how awful he has become. He loses the ball too often and fluffs all his chances. I do hope we do NOT get him back at leeds.

What game are you watching you numpty?? Smith had a fantastic game , his passing and hold up play was top quality. I'm not sure many mk dons fans wud agree with you, neither wud the town players who have had to perform admirably today, but I guess you think town played rubbish today because you are anti Grayson probably. Probably one of these sho sang there's only one Simon Grayson at the games, then soon as he was sacked " he was a poor manager, not good enough, lol

If he was "world class" why would you want him as a sub in a championship team? read what your writing before you post it pleaseeeeee

World class?? OMG what planet are you from? He was shocking no control of the ball, I really cannot get my head around this scary obsession with Alan smith, you all sound like schoolgirls with a crush, we need real quality players not an ex fringe player, and I wish Grayson all the luck at hudds and hope he gets them promoted as he is a good manager and it would make it fun having a west Yorkshire derby again

Agree8
Disagree1
Well lets put it this way pardew is a good judge of player and he couldn't wait to get rid of him and where has he ended up in L1 says it all really, and warnock is talking about young hungry players and thats not smith either. {Ed013's Note - Have a look at you tube interview with Alan Smith. He tells the reasons behind his move down to L1 and lets on to his future ambitions as a coach. Newcastle don't want his wage and will release him once his contract is up. If he doesn't get an offer of playing regularly he will move to coaching}

have seen some videos of Robbie Rogers and he looks rapid. lots of pace and can beat defenders, 2 good feet. MLS is probably about the same standard as the championship, if he's fit, he will scare defences.
Believable10
Unbelievable0
He was running the defense all over the park in his last game and we was well on top .he went off injured and then we looked off the pace and i think we lost .i think if he gets fit he will play a big part in this season coming.hes just been unlucky got knocked out in first game and then broke his ankle in the 2nd game
Agree8

He is unbelievable always watched round up of mls he is goin too be a terror next year and with snoddy hopefully on other wing we are gunna be frightening
Agree6

We didn't lose we beat Peterborough 4-1... But yeah everything else your spot on with, Rogers was excellent for 15mins before he suffered his injury, looks good enough for Leeds as an impact sub next season!
Agree2
Disagree0
Its just a pity he's not built like dempsey hopefully he doesn't spend most of his time on the injury table, with a much reduced squad size I don't think we will be able to carry many. Hopefully the backroom staff are good at building up the players physical strength. Good luck robbie hopefully you can be a star for us next season!

I would want him back at the club but its a big risk as if he doesn't perform there will be the fans that never wanted him back giving hassle to the staff saying they told them so with a negative affect but if he did perform we could easily go on a high and win the league .it could be a risk worth taking

Joel Ward and maybe George Boyd to be announced next week.
Papac,Guthrie and Buzsaky set to arrive for talks in the next 2 weeks and if talks go well Warnock wants them in before the end of the month.
Very reliable source and good friend informed me of these.
My source also said that Warnock has made contact with former club QPR about the availability of Paddy Kenny. QPR are willing to sell if they avoid relegation on Sunday.
