Big Support for BUCK

says it all - Jurgen view will do for me mate

''Former German international Jurgen Kilnsmann provided a glowing reference for potential new Leeds United recruit Robbie Rogers.
Kilnsmann, who also managed his country and is currently the United States national coach, spoke with United manager Simon Grayson about the 24-year-old and encouraged the player to play English football.
"Jurgen Kilnsmann called and gave him a glowing reference," said the United manager.
"He was big on him coming to England and said there's no bigger club than Leeds United.
"He says he will part of his squad for the future and felt playing over here would be a great opportunity for Robbie."
Grayson also revealed that the club had beaten off a number of other clubs in terms of agreeing a deal with the player to join, subject to a work permit being granted.
"There were a few clubs interested in both the Championship and the Premier League," said the boss.
"Robbie trained with us, played in a behind-closed-doors game, and we're delighted to have everything agreed with him.
"He's two-footed, has good pace, good delivery, can handle a ball, can play out wide or as a second striker, and we're excited to have him here.
"He'll give us another option and hopefully we can get everything done in terms of the work permit."

Just underline the bottom line with the word hopefully - again why we signing a player who may or may not obtain a work permit - then he will need time to gel into the English game..! don't think we will see Buck much this season if at all when a priority is a proven defender

Agree1 Disagree0

Graqyson,EVERBODY has two feet.buck's not special!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Meanin he can play with two feet muppet look at townsend leftie all the way! alot of players cant use two feet so stop been so nieve!

Keep on looking up at the premier league because we are never going to get there with no solid and good transfers coming in to strengthen our team, don't see us ever playing premier league football with two muppets like Grayson and bates running the show! Get them out before it's too late and we end up back in league one because the players give up hope!

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Arent you full of faith? we will never be back in that league

Agree1 Disagree1

I have to admit that Grayson makes some strange decisions with the team during matchplay and has to take full responsibility that our defence is as suspect as Rachubka's keeping but I refuse to condemn him until he's given a real chance to provide us with a powerful team that we deserve.
He brought us up a division (admittedly last gasp) and we continue to fight for promotion on a budget of magic beans.
If he's given a decent budget and he still doesn't provide the goods then i'll join you calling for his head until then lay off Larry's back and let's give him our support.

Agree4 Disagree3

Well said!

Does everyone not know that we have pretty much the same players as we did in league 1? Obviously with the ones sold but literally have noone worth mentioning accept lonners been brought in.

To be in this position with the current squad Grayson deserves a knighthood!

Agree1 Disagree2

Maybe not quite a knighthood, perhaps a back on the back maybe

Agree2 Disagree1

I think you meant pat on his back.
Incidentally, Pat butcher's available to jump on Grayson's back now she's no longer in Eastenders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we #tumbleweed that last joke

Very disappointed in Grayson and Leeds as a club, where are the much needed transfers to keep this club going forward. It's so frustrating with this keep quiet attitude grayson as. He must be Bate's accountant with the shady goings on. Your swindling the season ticket holders and your not entertaining the loyal fans of this club.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Ok so you want grayson to say who we are trying to get so some other team can come and out bid us well done you just failed as a manager

Agree3 Disagree2

Yes i do want to know as i like football, Don't you want to know? Are you human as it's human nature to need to know.

Agree2 Disagree1

Alas i'm not a manager, in fact never said i was. I just said there's shady goings on. So you just failed as you didn't understand my point.

Agree1 Disagree1

Its how he works, its not in his character to talk about players and try to unsettle them, he announces them when he is done, i wish more managers would be like that

Agree2 Disagree2

I'm behind SG but been quiet about who your after only works when you get your targets.
If good players don't come in, you look like your either doing feck all, didn't look at some great targets that other teams got or other teams offered better prospects.
Neither inspires fans.

Agree2 Disagree0

Would you rather we went public with our targets and then potentially miss out on them because we've highlighted the potential availability of those players, then have to pay more for them (both transfer fee and wages)?!

I'd love to know who we're after being honest BUT keeping quiet makes sense and the club does it to protect itself and give itself the best chance of landing their targets

Agree1 Disagree0

Good post above, just been silent over transfer targets shows little ambition in my opinion, we know whats coming on the 31st 'we identified key targets, we were close but it never happened'
sound familiar

is grayson waiting till deadline day again just to be disappointed?? rogers is unproven and maybe a good replacement for gradel, apart from that we have tied down pugh and taylor, not exactly major signings or improvements

SG should have a look on FIFA 12 as there are loads of good players :-) I have signed one from Inter Milan 1 from PSG 1 from Real Madrid & 1 from Arsenal ( All cheap loans Ken so don't panic). I also bought a big centre forward from Belguim and the team is doing great.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Why are you not manager of leeds !

Agree1 Disagree0

Want a lose you are. Glad your not in charge we'd be play garforth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but that's on FIFA 12 not a hard game to play

Agree2 Disagree2

Are you seriously trying to compare a computer game to real life?! What a complete joke and just shows how out of touch with reality some people are!

Why are we struggling to get rid of the 'so called' dead wood..?
these were identified as Grayson's marquee signings and yet not even a Sunday league pub team want them..!
Does this strengthen the argument Grayson doesn't know the transfer market? even still, why purchase a MLS player when everyone knows that his work permit could take a month to come through - thought we were building for this season not next

Believable7 Unbelievable3

It shows the quality of a lot of our squad when nobody wants them !

Agree2 Disagree0

Work permits dont take that long, have you played FM? ;)

Agree0 Disagree2

January transfer window is not usually that busy to be fair.

Agree0 Disagree1

We've signed 2 new players. that's more than a lot of clubs in the country.

why is there all is talk of players coming in bates has already said he wont sanction any more moves unless we trim the squad we already have.

paynter, o'brien, bromby, rachubka will definitely leave (well hopefully anyway)

somma, parker, cairns will leave on loan to get games and match sharpness when all fully fit maybe not in this window

connolly and sam are other players who grayson thinks have no future at the club and could also be on there way out hence the signing of rodgers and the potential signing of adam smith according to ssn

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Theres more donkeys in the Leeds squad than ever before, need a massive clear out,the way SG buys crap then still plays em no matter how bad they play is galling, the likes of Parker,Paynter and co need shut of,pay em up,whatever.just get shut,if the young uns are good enough put them in,Revie did and look where that led, judging on past signings, and loanees, apart from a few exceptions, his signings have been poor, perhaps Bates is well aware of his track record so wont give him the money, dont think I would either.
