I'm wondering if all this spygate nonsense is being hyped up by ex pros because its Frank Lampard, and if it was a lesser liked manager then maybe the whole hype around it wouldn't be as bad, no point deduction, no way, waiting for his uncle to chip in, because he never did anything dodgy did he.

So when Sky interview coach/ managers on the training pitch which they often do is that wrong then?
I've never seen anyone say would you mind panning the camera away from my players .
Never been involved or ever good enough at football to have been involved in a proper training section but surly theirs little that you could see and then change to make a difference, when we lose are 1st thoughts are not I wonder whether someone watched us train .
sometimes it's a silly error, or we don't perform .
Stop looking for excuses (other clubs ) .

met gazza as he was nearly a patron of my last play, very nice guy.

To be honest i think it is as simple as media hype. Sky cover us a lot, we are a big draw for them so any story is news and worthy or air time, the more they build it up the more air time they have.

they know it is a storm in a teacup but it is a storm in a tea cup that fills minutes. bit like a tablod headline that is rubbish but sells papers.

Based upon all the Leeds haters conspiracy theories?

Never understood why all of Mike Tysons opponents did not send spy’s to watch him train and spa before fighting him.

Clearly anyone watching you before any competition completely nullifies your ability to compete making the match void.

We are top of the league on spirit, talent, skill and guts and for anyone out there. Smile and wave at them boys smile and wave.

Calling on Leeds fans who live close to training grounds where we have still yet to play! Don your most, undercover clothes, take the dog if you have one and walk the public perimeter as much as you can in the week before the game. Stop frequently to take photos of your dog, yourself and all the items of natural or unnatural beauty in your path.

If it has the same effect on their coach and team as it did with Fat Frank. We won't need to worry about any new recruits!

Went to the match, got up at 6.30 am the next morning to watch the complete sky rerun, watched the extended highlights more times than I want to say! A stunning performance that deserved at least a 4-0 score line to do it justice. can't get it out of my system!

I think the last lineup is exciting and offers so many flexible options. Alioski and Harrison brings out the best in both of them, they can interchange totally and it leaves us Douglas, Pearce and Davis as backup.

Ayling and Clarke, no need for words with Shackleton now establishing himself as a reliable option and Beradi to come and Dallas as well.

Forshaw and KP now fighting for the DM position. Klich and Hernadez have Roberts and hopefully Brown around.

Roofe, with Bamford, keen to impress.

Pontus and Captain Fantastic are now probably the part of the team hardest to collectively replace at the same level. I'd like to see one of Aapo, Diaz or Struick really rising to the challenge. Pick 2 of them and get them playing every under 23 game together as a unit.

Bailey needs support and a think a vocal, experienced keeper could really nail down the defensive unit. Hopefully our man from Madrid is that man. Can see him getting a run in the team quite quickly all being well.

When you look at it like that, it shows the challenge in adding to the squad in a way that really improves it and doesn't just throw money away.

A winger / 10 that can share the burden and it's hard to see too many teams deservedly beating that group of players. Even without the additions! Exciting times is an understatement.

The ground is buzzing, the city is excited and I'm quite frankly struggling to focus on anything else!

We need cover for BPF or someone to push him on for a few years

We need cover for Pablo who was our most creative player even when the other little Spanish lad we had, I forget his band, decided it was warm enough to put a shift in.

We saw earlier in the season how much we miss pablo when he’s out

Sadly those sorts of players are rare and expensive especially in January

Hence the experiment with Roberts

I always thought Roofe could play as a number 10 but with his recent form leading the line that’d be a mistake

I know this is a bit left field but wouldn’t surprise me to see shack popped in there

He’s a clever lil fella with pace and energy.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 14:07:51
Other Woody

I totally agree with your sentiment regarding Roofe as a number 10.

Watching him last season I could see he was being played out on both sides of the park and looking remarkably comfortable in tgose areas. if we hadn't had Saiz I would have thought he would have played there too

however, this year he has become talismanic as a No9 and so with Saiz leaving we don't have the chance to move him back there at this time.

Certainly he would offer a bigger threat in the box than Saiz ever did. Perhaps when Bamford is fit we could try Roofe as a more mobile and determined number 10.

13 Jan 2019 16:20:28
Great posts lads. Lots of ideas. Flexibility is Bielsas key word. At times you have players all over the place but in a controlled manner if that makes sense. You can shake this group of players up and use them in lots of different positions. That’s what Bielsa does so well.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 11:55:07
Thought crossed my mind is that the Sky TV presenters were just trying to have a good old wind up of us fans by highlighting it so prominently . Frank thought he was being clever in the mind games department, think that backfired and the Sky blokes were also very willing accomplices in this ploy. If old Frankie Boy can't turn his teams form around, he might be under a lot more pressure. P45 at the ready. Also the word spy, in truth he was only a scout and most likely not very clandestine if the truth be known. The just wanted the bloke removed and then took the opportunity to play mind games with the situation . Could have all been handled behind the scenes very amicably but Frank tried to gain from it and we all know the result.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

13 Jan 2019 12:30:20
I honestly think Fat Frank let his own team down, badly. He set the climate for the game by his comments and attitude. He was clearly distracted by the issue and that must have affected his team. Then to go on TV again after the game and Criticize Bielsa, who had already rung him to explain and apologize, and worse his own team for effectively being distracted from their game plan! His responsibility to ensure his team was prepared properly for the game, his failure!

How does he think he got the Derby job? Excellent coaching record and experience? Arrogant, x player taking a plum championship job away from others who could probably do it miles better!

13 Jan 2019 12:46:57

13 Jan 2019 12:51:02
Id like to think, no I know if the shoe had been in the other foot and it was derby "spying" on leeds, it would have galvanized the team more to put on a display. Just shows how nieve he really is (franky boy) as a coach and how little his team proformed for him and their fans.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 16:22:59
I agree Mezzer and when I was walking to the ground and hearing the news that is what I was worrying about! But just didn’t happen at all. We used the issue so much better than they did!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 11:11:23
Just watched Sunday supplement and the journos on there pretty much said it's not a big deal, it happens and they have done it themselves . The only people who seem to have an issue are people who in my opinion dislike Leeds anyway and let's be honest it's all sanctimonious clap trap.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

13 Jan 2019 11:40:11
Agree mighty been going on for decades that's why all the big teams have secure training grounds. If Derby wants privacy then why train on an open air pitch with a public foot path at the side of it. Fat Frank used to read dossiers before games of what Chelseas spies had found out about their opposition and now he is taking the moral high ground, hypocrite. FA are investigating simply because it is Leeds, nothing was investigated about all the premier teams doing it. At the end of the day it is what the two teams do on the pitch. Fact is it is not illegal and it has been going on for ages. Morally wrong? Depends on the individual, i think not when its been part and parcel of the game for so long. If the ruling bodies did not want it happening why have they no rules against it specifically. All blown out of proportion because we are Leeds.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 12:57:39
Agree guys, suppose they will try and Fine us, but points deduction won't happen as it would be a mine field in court trying to make a case stick. I can see the FA and Leeds owner agreeing a token fine but nothing else, still feel it will be a very grey area to prove any charge but to shut the press etc up, maybe a solution.

A good piece in the Sun today by Dave Kitson about the so called spying issue. If you don't want to buy it, not my choice of paper, it is worth looking on line or reading somebody else's copy.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

13 Jan 2019 10:52:07
Hope it explains that this has been common practice for years, in this country and others. Maybe frowned upon but not technically against the laws yet! It's all down i suppose to interpretation of the laws and I would imagine hard to impose. Players pissed off with their club for being left out have leaked team news to rivals in the past. Even franky boys beloved jose at Chelsea would send his coach AVB to get information on their opposition. Sour grapes from franky, even Scott carson stated he found it hard to see what Leeds would have gained, I think it was excellent gamesmanship from bielsa and worked a treat, franky boy got schooled. Even we believed Hernandez was out injured!

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 11:12:12
Yes Mezzer, he says it has been going on for years. I also read this morning of FF's beloved Chelsea doing it along with many others. It has been blown up out of proportion because it is Leeds. If it was the other way round I could imagine FF getting praise for forward thinking off some of these naff pundits.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 13:02:46
Says more about Frank and his coaching/ management ability then mate, deflection from his own failing. I personally find it more a publicity stunt from Bielsa to rattle franky boy and it worked a treat. Poor, poor, franky boy, respected his dedication as a player but just another whinging git.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jan 2019 09:55:41
Has anyone else thought this, that on Friday when we were playing a must win game how much pressure must there have been on the team? Answer NONE! Because Bielsa hires Jonny English to spy on Frank Lampards Derby, when questioned he squealed like a Sheffield Wednesday midfielder who has just met Ronny Viera, Then the man himself comes straight out with it and says " I told him to do it " this deflecting all the attention away from the team and onto himself, allowing the boys to perform as well as they did, Bielsa is not just a good manager he is a GENIUS!
