Ryo Miachai free agent ex Arsenal winger, 22 being linked with Leeds. I put him out there a month ago, someone must have heard me. Good player, pacy and tricky. Japanese market may appeal to Cellino

Just want to say that mc is the best thing since sliced bread. Look at the mess he's been left with, many before him have messed up. Personally I don't blame Ridsdale as he was only doing what the rest of us would love to have done. His only mistake was trusting of leary with the cash. Seth Johnson 9million, Robbie fowler 11million etc. However small margins is all it was that stopped us winning the league the yr we came 3rd. If hassalbaink had stayed the summer he went to atletico when we got bridges their goals would have won us the league, I'm sure . Also if o leary had spent the 11 on lampard we'd be talking about completely different history. Give mc a break got a lot to sort but he's going in the right direction

I always thought Michael Bridges was an excellent striker and gifted footballer who unfortunately suffered from injuries and never fulfilled his true potential with us.

Just to clarify, it was Risdale that did the deal for Seth Johnson not O'Leary, he may have identified him but it was that clown Risdale that offered £40k a week when they went in hoping for £18k!
Be under no illusion, the reason Leeds have been in financial mess for the last 12 years is down to Risdale mortgaging the club against Champions League inclusion.
He is not fit to run a business, so I am amazed Lancaster White doesn't blame him!

the reason I can forgive risdale is he did genuinely want best for leeds. idiot yes, fit to run club probably not but he is also not a bad person. Unlike a certain papa smurf who should get 100% of leeds hate 24/7

I personally agree. Don't think Ridsdale wanted to mess up but got carried away. How many of us would go mad spending if we had just won 100 mil on the lottery. We'd be buying players for 5. 7. 10 million. Hoping to guarantee us promotion. Sadly it doesn't work. Not a great business model.

Bermo, disagree about ridsdale. He did want best for leeds but he is not a good person. I know some of the peopke and deals he got involved with. He is just another lying crook.

{Ed001's Note - look at the amount he took out of his other clubs he ran just before they entered admin. Something like £600k from Bradford City alone, which was then lost to the creditors, while in his wallet. The man is a defo a crook.}

So I was wondering about thr re-purchase of our stadium as it seems to have gone very quiet
I know Cellino promised to buy it back and we all heard rumours of using the Ross McCormack sale money £11m and then the GFH issue prevented it as they would have a share

Anyone else wondering if this will ever happen.

I know we have seen comments from Umbers saying Cellino is committed to buying the stadium but it would be nice to know when and to hear it from Cellino

Any views.

GFH a problem regarding anything financial as they want everything for nothing. When they invest its by borrowing money from others and it has to be paid back. If its true they are on shirts it will be because this is the only way we can get money out of them without having to pay it back.

Got a disagree for my above post about GFH. The way I understood it the 10 mill we got for Mcormack was going to buy ER back, GFH were not willing to use their share of the sale to do it, around 2 mill.so Cellino was not willing to finance it alone so put it on the backburner. what's to disagree

Guys are any of you members of the Leicester branch of the members club? I'm looking at travel arrangements to ER for next season from the Melton area of Leicestershire, if anyone can help please let me know.
Ed: I appreciate this isn't either banter or rumour but I'm hoping this forum can help.

I think there's another branch that picks up around Melton area. I think it's East Mids branch. That was a few years back. You can check all of the affiliated branches on OS I think.

Are you for real? Pre-season games are always started with lower league and non league teams as fitness is not up to the levels they will be at the start of the season so the squad gets used to competitive football, with many of the players playing together for the first time. There is usually a progression of standard as the start of the season nears. Also it's good PR for the club to play games in these areas where we have a big fan base.

What do you expect Real Madrid, Barcelona followed by the Brazilian National Team. Jeez there's no pleasing some people. I actually thought our pre-season looked quite decent compared to seasons gone by, at least these teams will turn up unlike last seasons farce!

I have always like the Harrogate pitch but last time a Leeds squad lost 3-1 and we were not very good., had to park miles away as well, still the pies were ok

Yep the pre-season so far is looking much better than last season and better organised.

I don't see the need to face teams like Harrogate and York, we need to be playing tougher sides if we're too mould our side in to winners, what will we gain from drawing 2-2 to conference sides :P
