I agree with your comment Wex re safety of family as is only a game, but I also think this is a classic MC smokescreen/ bs interview, the guy said all this before so who knows but it is an odd time to say that just after winning the battle (if not war) with FL and new sponsor deal so pinch of Salt time for me.

Wonder if next week things clearer after board meeting, hope so but hopefully SE putting in place a pre-season as I reckon (and he might also) think it is a 50/ 50 call on him.

1. You personally have huge wealth to make a large championship club a success

2. You will invest heavily in the playing squad

3. You will re-acquire the ground

4. You will foster good relationships with fans and the community

But fail to do these things but instead

1. You appoint carp managers

2. You fire managers like there's no tomorrow

3. You suspend and fire good staff

4. You allow club to be sued repeatedly and more often than not lose or agree a bad settlement

5. You get banned by the FL

6. You stay and do stupid stuff to the press

7. Your sons act poorly and they are directors

8. You fail to heed advice from people with superior knowledge of the British game

9. You turn us into a laughing stock

10. You cause attendances to drop

Then what do you expect? Pat on back?

He gave us his plagues. Now he feels this kinda way he can consider us equal. There always comes a time when emotions run high to this kind of point. That's where we got to because of him. He's a liar, a cheat and a conman.

The sign of a good manager is the ability to achieve success thro adversity. It is easy to be a "Mourinho". If it's not going right, go out and try to buy success.
A good manager is proven thro stopping a losing streak (Rhinos McDermott) . A good manager takes an ordinary team on paper and goes out and wins games with them (Ranieri) . It is too easy to proclaim top team managers with billionaire owners as good managers. When all is going well it's relatively easy to just point and press.
The "Good" managers are sometimes to be found in the lower leagues where apart from all their other responsibilities have zero funds to patch up a losing team but must rely on man management skills and tactical know how to squeeze success from the vacuum of failure. With all the names bandied about, to find a gem means identifying the one person, not necessarily a promoted manager, but one who has got his team batting way above average.
As a parting shot to Massimo, - and when you find him, support him (thro thick and thin) and leave him alone.

Agree with that 100% . In the real world this is how it works .

Its not " I will manage your team depending on how much I get to spend " .

This is why Evans is due some respect for the way he went about managing Leeds.
