Come on Leeds let's get it signed off, Foyth for 15, Benrahma for 25 . I don't care what we think about Strujk we need a CB, look at the squad? We have to get at least one.

Barca don't come looking at Elland Road. Look elsewhere. I love you as a club but our man is, our man.
PS Pls hurry up and sign!

But if Messi wants out he can come here, will have to take a pay cut but he'll get to work with Bielsa so worth it surely.

Barcelona is a massive but very difficult job at the moment. I think Bielsa would go and probably should go if He really had the opportunity and it was offered to him on his terms, which is the part very unlikely. There is loads of politics in Spanish clubs that effect the ability of the coach to get on with the job. Bielsa would be a very brave choice by Barcelona but not sure they would let him get on with the job in the way he would want to do it!

I think the 1/2 year timeframe of getting Leeds into the Premiership was ideal for Bielsa. It suited the way he thinks and agrees his contracts and there was a very clear objective. Job done! . The problem now is that for a few years at least, it’s a very different job and potentially less glamorous. How many one year contracts will he agree to. In that context, keeping Leeds in the premiership or the chance to turn around Barcelona?

I hope Bielsa not signing his contract has nothing to do with the situation at Barcelona or anywhere else. Bielsa is important for players thinking about joinIng our club! If I was a big player making a key decision, I’d quite like to know that he had signed!

Don't know if the Barcelona board will back Bielsa against the prima donna clique there at the moment. Especially if he decides a mass clear out is required.

David has signed for Lille so that's one player that won't be coming to Leeds this year.

His reasoning is a joke, wanted guaranteed 1st team football, 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣, or knew he isn't good enough for prem league, or did fancy Bielsa training, either way not 30 mill plus player,

High opinion of himself. Not.
Didnt even think he could knock Bamford off the staring line up?
Not what we want can do better.

14 Aug 2020 23:00:49
I don't think he sees himself as and out and out striker.

And I agree with him that he wouldn't be guaranteed to start in front of Harrison, Costa, Henandez and Roberts.

15 Aug 2020 06:52:51
'Not what we want'? By all accounts Radz, Orta and Bielsa were all trying to persuade him to join so of true it sounds like he was definitely what we want but chose to go elsewhere anyway. Worrying lack of ability to sign a genuine target if true.

We do not want a player who hasn't got the balls for a fight.
If he isn't in it for the team he wouldn't fit.

Incredible that Barcelona only won their first Euro cup as recently as 1992 and yet have now won it 5 times.

The premier league transfer window doesn’t close until October 5th, still a long way to go for one or two surprises.

I mentioned Ryan Fraser couple weeks ago but didn't seem to get much interest from any Leeds fans? Surely he would be worth putting in a offer for free? Plus Harry Wilson and Benrahma what a squad.

To be honest, I didn’t really know who he was, was shocked to read he was earning 70k a week and that he wanted 100k when he moved! Is he really that good, had a pretty quiet year last year!

I saw the original post Mighty.

I have only seen him play wide for Bournemouth. If that is his position, and if we paid the Β£70kpw he is on now then I assume he would have to start. Out wide we have Costa and Harrison. In reserve we have Poveda, Alioski and Stevens. I can't see this area is a priority at the moment.
I actually don't see the No10 role as being a priority this season either. Henandez must be a shoo-in. Roberts has been his deputy last season. Klich has played that role at previous clubs. Phillips started his career as a 10. Gotts looks like he could do a job as does Bogusz.

For me the massive priority must be a right footed centre back to replace White (Casey/ Struick can replace Beradi)
And a goalscoring centre forward to compete with Bamford

Buy those, then any monies left we can think about buying improvements to what we have.

I think if we had White, and with Bamford upfront we would have been mid table. So consolidate this season. Buy a Henandez replacement next year.

Think we have done some good business in market to date, no real proven players have come in yet. Still a few to ship out as well.

Centre back, striker, a midfielder as we are a little light there and another creative player like Pablo, that's four more, if we get them in the squad would definitely look stronger and better placed.

Still no real transfer fees paid so the kitty should be intact. A loan or two and then if Orta can pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat so to speak, we should have enough funds to cover this.

The squad appears to be taking shape now. With a lot of talented young players . If we can just round it off with a centre back and a forward I think I'd be happy with our business.

His wages may be too high but Chris Smalling would be a good buy imo. Just think he would work well with a Bielsa side.

Maybe we are buying the youngsters because biesla is going to promote the likes of proveda struik and shacks to Regular bench and first team.

I mean like that’s why he blooded them last couple of games. To see if they were good enough to start games in prem and to see what cover he actually needed.
Stating the obvious maybe.
I originally thought he was just giving them a run out.

I think, Poveda, Shackleton and Struick have done enough to be squad bench players next year. Poveda really impressed me with his attitude as well as his skill. Waited for his opportunity but is clearly part of the group and think he really benefits from being around uncle Pablo. Struick made the most of his time with the first team during lockdown and Shacks just needed to await his chance. Great to see all three combine for the goal with Pascal providing the Pablo like pass. Equally when Poveda got the ball over to Pablo to score. I think Bielsa trusted them just this year we didn’t have a lot of injuries and he is still very loyal to his starting players. When they were needed, he put them in and they did well. I suspect the young lad from Wigan will eat up the instruction from Bielsa and be working very hard to get into that group. Great to see! One of my memories of the season is the Shackleton family almost spilling their Sunday roasts as they went crazy as Shacks got his first goal!
