Does anyone else here think Steve Evans has no idea what to do with a player like Botaka.

I ask as the question as I run the comparison with Mahrez in the Leicester side. Mahrez didn't play much last year and had nowhere near the same impact as this year, then suddenly a change of manager and he is being courted by Barcalona.

I am not claiming the are the same level, I just wonder if our current coach knows how to utelise a player who supposeldy has a lot of skill and trickery.

Mowatt continues to be retained on the Left and Dallas has been a good player so far and now he has moved to the right.

And I forgot to add

so I understand he has to wait his chance. However I just don't think SE has any idea how to bring out the best in him.

Just dontt think we are in a position to put him in yet, if we get more points begween us and the bottom think he will get a chance. Any manager would shore the defense up as wee were conceding easy goals. Evans knows how to use wingers, will probably get games in cup.

When Evans walks, MC should be the coach for say.5 games. Then he will see HIS results and how difficult it is. Maybe his wife can come in at half time and tell him to choose certain players better looking than other players. Then he will see what its like with interference. Just a thought.

That case Berardi is not injured, Byram form re-discovered and signs new deal, 9 million to be spent in the window on cracking new players, our Chairman no longer one fry short of a Happy Meal and from next week Scott Wooton will play like the ghost of Bobby Moore.

What we need is a serious investor who will buy out all of them with fingers in our club until that happens we will always be a laughing stock in the league and media there must be someone out there who sees us as a true investment of becoming a top four club again! Chinese, Arab, Russian or even corporate giant? Even Leicester have better investors than us! Rant over.

Bad news, if he's not playing byram think we need to be getting young coyle on subs bench and get him used to first team atmosphere.

14 Dec 2015 20:05:40
Agreed Bige but thought Coyley about to go out on loan. I think we can kiss goodbye to clean sheets until March.

Agree1 Disagree2

14 Dec 2015 20:54:29
Funny. Since Wootton came in for the Messiah Byram, we've conceded 3 goals in 6 games and kept 3 clean sheets. Byram's the one who costs us goals with poor defending, but he's an academy player so it doesn't matter.

Agree2 Disagree1

14 Dec 2015 22:09:02
Yeah, he's so poor that teams who play in the division above us allegadly wanting to buy him in the next transfer window. If Cellino had a brain he would be wanting him in the team, so the bids will come in. W Young Cole is not ready yet. That's why we were trying to loan him to York.

Agree0 Disagree1

14 Dec 2015 22:28:43
How comes none of these teams have ever bidded for him then? His agent is selling stories to the tabloids that the top 4 are all after him and fans believe everything the likes of the S*n and Star write. Byram wouldn't get into most Championship teams, let alone PL teams.

Agree1 Disagree1

15 Dec 2015 09:39:01
Maybe because he is not playing which is down to Cellino. Let's see in January if anyone comes in for him. But however bad you think he is he's still better than Wotten's. Why not put Wotton up for grabs see how many teams will come in for him!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Dec 2015 13:11:07
Deda agree about wotton but coyle? Who thought taylor was ready? Or cook. I watch a lot of u21 games and he is better than wotton.

well we must be top of league for cock up's and crap . evans says don't call mc names then evans might walk as mc comes into dressing room . now we can't buy bridcutt so he's off . how much more of this do we have to take . mc grow up . your in charge of club . that's the running buying players . you do not pick team or do tactics . you are making leeds a joke . not good for us . is this why we have trouble getting players because you act like a pratt.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

14 Dec 2015 15:00:39
MC needs to grow up? I think you need to cheer up pal. Why so negative? I honestly believe that one day soon, these players are just going to click. Yes, there may be a few minor tweaks before it happens, but I don't think we're a million miles away. The club isn't a joke, although some of it's "Fans" are. Maybe I'm just a 'Glass Half Full' kind of guy (most of the time) . Every cloud has a Silvestri lining. (Ok, bad joke, but it's nearly Christmas!) .

There's far worse things in life than not being able to buy your stadium (from someone who probably doesn't want to sell it anyway, cha-ching) .

Southern Softie, well said my friend.

OneLeeds I would not believe all the sh** you read, I mean the Daily star says MC picking teamSE to go etc, I mean the Daily star! how /why would you believe them over what SE said the other day re MC not telling him to change at QPR, it is the same (none story mate) .

If SE comes out and says that happened then fine but otherwise it is just bullsh**

I don't get why you would want to think that MC is picking/running the team?

Re Liam B, my understanding of story is that SA at sunderland says he can't go to Leeds/we can't buy him and he would rather sell to Brighton. OK that may happen but not up to Sam, up to player more often than not I think you will find, can we buy him? I don't know but I don't see why not (i. e., we have paid good money for players this year, no embargo, Sam B going in Jan you would think so cash there) so you may as well believe we could buy him as to believe we have no chance.

As SS says glass half full, last year we would have lost that game on Saturday I reckon. We ain't that great yet but getting a bit better and another couple of good players in Jan would lift us even more.

Wolves/Preston/Forrest/Derby are all tricky games coming up, I would take 6 points, anything more than that would be great but let's be positive and just see what MC does in Jan, if no much then fine go ahead and moan cause at least that will be based on fact no some bollo*** in the papers (who all hate Leeds and bad stuff bout us sells so remember that fact as well) .

14 Dec 2015 18:12:57
Can't agree more lads some on here must believe everything they read by lazy journalists who throw out any old crap for me I think Evans is honest and won't take any crap . And for any club to the well you need a good relationship between manager and chairman and I'll ask the doom and gloom merchants on here what would have happened had cellino not bought Leeds probably another consortium with no money keeping us in the doldrums for another 10 years.

14 Dec 2015 23:29:26
Maybe if we got behind team and stopped moaning about cellino and whatever manager he brings in we seem to think pep gaurdiola should be knocking on the door some on here think we're entitled to be in premiership we're not some think we're entitled to mega rich investors why when all we do is moan! Maybe get behind owner manager and team and instill some confidence around club and team might get us further . Moaning has got us nowhere.

14 Dec 2015 09:30:50
Hello, as we march on together strange things is said and happends all the time. No Steve Evans has called for us fans to be kind to Massimo Cellino so he opens his purse for the january transfer window. It says it all, Mr. Cellino is supposed to be a serious business man and if he is he will look after his investment in Leeds United himself. But in my opinion he is a man who runs his club with emotions and not sense. Why should we keep our faith in a man that just is full of words and not action. 1. Buying back Elland Road, 2. Selling the club, 3. Never attend a Leeds United game again and so it goes on and on. The last he was qouted on saying: IF he sells Leeds, not when . So this mess is going on like a never ending story. Please let it end.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

14 Dec 2015 10:48:12
Fact is Cellino owns the club. He will not attend home games as he knows all the negative chanting affects the players. Bad as he is he still wants us to do well. He has never said he will not get players in in jan, but I suspect he will not be investing his own money in a hurry so expect players to be going out, Byram. LFU and LUST can forget about getting shares while he is in charge so I guess the chanting will go on for a while yet. Personally I support Leeds United, the team. I see a guy who kept us out of admin, maybe worse, and put his money in to the club with the intent of making us better. He made stupid promises when he took over that he later realised he could not keep. The media and some fans have castigated him at every turn, sometimes he has asked for it, but a lot of it is irrelevant. The stuff in Italy is an ongoing feud with him and authority, it makes little difference to us if he gets banned, he owns 7% all we lose is a chairman for two years. As for managers who in championship have got world class managers, half were unknowns before they took over, its the players who perform. If Evans is given time and backing he will get there. I think he is right fans need to get behind the team and give everyone the chance to make Leeds great again.

I agree BIGE but I do think he should keep his snout of things that don't concern him and let people who he employs do the job he is paying them to do (if it's true about team tinkering) and we'd be much better off. I agree, he has put money in and saved us from admin but, he he can't dine on that one forever. He's needs to learn to do his job and stop massaging his ego and undermining others. I think Big Steve will do a good job for us if he's allowed to do it.

I think we all agree he needs to take a back seat shut up and give evans the backing he needs. Media will still print what he says to joe bloggs in the street but most of it is to get a dig at us.

14 Dec 2015 13:04:59
Elanora sports own 75% of the club. Cellino 2% GFH 20% and Patel 3%. Should we be nice to all individuals and organisations involved. I have stated Cellino wants the best for us before, however, his stupid decisions keep the whole football world laughing at us. The club have to pay everytime we go to court (which under his rule is far to often) so any ban will no doubt be challenged, costing us more money. He didn't give us any money he has put in, he loaned us it. Just as GFH did. He either uses the next transfer windows to properly fund the club, or he carries on undermining the manager and blaming everyone but himself when we end up in the bottom half of the league.

I was all for the bloke when he came in. OK he's as mad as a barrel full of budgies, but we are where we're are. I don't think our best 11 is that bad and should be good enough to keep us from going down. We can and will moan about him whilst ever he is here, but we're not going to get a fairy godfather to come in and saves us anytime soon.

14 Dec 2015 15:39:19
Bige I've heard this argument many times and admit it can't be easy to perform in a toxic atmosphere. So in general would agree with you on that point. However this format is not in front of owners, board members, players and not usually in 90 mins of game. I just don't understand some people defending the owner when he makes wrong decisions. We should be putting money forward for players who are making us better, which Birdcutt does, not losing him to an or her team and then looking around for a cheaper alternative.

I understand what you're saying about the best 11 but not going down being a good result for us? How low have we got . The people at the club including mc need to pull themselves up by the bootlaces and stick their chests out . Sit down with the playing staff and put on a dvd of the history of the club and what it means to play for us, really get them going so that every one of them leaves nothing on the pitch when they go out there. Be encouraged to play without fear and attack teams like we deserve to win every game cause we are leeds United and we're to bloody good to be in this league and get us out of there, back to the promised land!

I admire your passion LW and I know mine is still in there. I turn up week after week, month after month, year after year and slowly, but gradually my spirit is being tested. I love this club and even if we drop out of the leagues we will always have the past. However, now is where we're at and unfortunately it's not going to improve anytime soon. I'll be there Thursday (Even though I said I was boycotting away games) cheerin us on, but not really expecting much. I hope your optimism pays off soon pal. We can only keep our chins up and keep marching on together
