Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

14 Jan 2015 23:26:36
By way of a bit of light relief, and if the Ed's will allow this post (thanks if you do), have a search for what the fans of FC Magdeburg did recently because their team hadn't scored in 5 matches. An idea for Saturday perhaps.
PS
Good luck to MC tomorrow. Even your haters probably hate the FL more

Heres one to put cat amonst pigeons would u be happy to see cellino go and unkown faces running leeds if redbull pushed to takeover his majority investment in us and got rid of cellino mot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Very much so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well yes probably. And who could blame MC if that happened? I can't believe in a million years him or anyone would have been interested if they had realised the extent of the mess we were in when he arrived. He's made loads of mistakes, but I think it's credit to him that he's stuck at it for this long. If I'd been him with all his millions, I would have stuck 2 fingers up and waved bye bye long ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Red Bull? Why are these rumours still doing the rounds???

Speedy totally agree with u whatever people think of cellino there wasnt at the time anyone putting their money where their mouth was at the time what I dnt understand is why he went back to gfh and asked them for more investment via their capital share investment when he could of probably used his own money and reduced their intrest in the club once more

Cellino has still invested a lot in this club and whilst we are sinking in the league at least we still have a club! He has put a lot of money in, much more than he ever thought when he came to the club - not saying I agree with all his methods and dealings but to be honest I don't have enough of the facts to pass judgement. GFH are still hanging around and they have not managed to provide any real impact. From what I read and hear they have continued to create issues!
What I do know is that we are still not financially stable and if we can't afford to pay big wages then we must work with what we have got and if we lose players to bring less well known players on a hunch then it's better than paying out a fortune for non performers. I would prefer a club in Div 1 than no club at all! We have been there before and we got out of it! Sometimes u have to lose a few battles in order to win the war - 45 years a Leeds fan - good bad and the ugly but still here. MOT

Leeds looking at 6ft4 striker Cani!! A journey man with attitude issues!
Why aren't we looking at either youth or a cheeky premiership player or 2 that's not getting games? Loan till the end of the season just to avoid relegation battle! Then start again with a whole new game plan! No offence but whatever game plan MC started this season with, it has failed miserably!! MOT fellow Whites.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's only 25. Give him until May to prove himself. Writing players off before they start ffs. Antenucci has proved to be decent

Agree0 Disagree0

MC is probably interested because he is an international and probably on £2.5k a week.

I feel so sad about our club just now. I have tried not to care so much, but when you have cared passionately for so many years it's not possible.

Haven t posted on here for a while though I read the posts by others every day as usual. Its interesting to see that some of the ‘doom and gloom’ bashers that were so supportive of our new ‘saviour’ and critical of some of us for daring to show caution when ‘ItaliaBates’ took over, have went very quiet. Maybe they are in Spain or on holiday, or maybe they are worried the tax dodger will have to sell, or maybe they have realised that this guy is taking us back down to league one with his pig headed attitude and his inability to accept anything that's not cellino or salerno made. I remember one poster asked me, if cellino was a success this season would I admit I was wrong about him? Fourth from the bottom and falling, less than half of the players these two Chuckle brothers brought in are not good enough, wants to bring in another unproven target man when we need wingers to supply the strikers we already have, etc etc. I could go on, but I think the Rose Tinted Glass brigade would be able to put a good spin on all of it. One things for sure, it wouldn t be ItaliaBates’ fault. Right?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well Irish. Totally understand where you are coming from, but disagree fundamentally about Cellino being like Bates. In fact I still believe that a part of the problem is that Bates is still far more connected with the club than we know about.
But think back several months when MC took over. There weren't exactly many others in the queue. I don't think any of us would have chosen him if Red Bull had come knocking on the door with their billions. And who knows, that might yet be the next step.

Agree0 Disagree0

Speedy, you could be right about Bates still being connected, if reports are true, cellino asked him and GFH for a loan, why if he s so wealthy, did he use his own(or his familys) money to buy in the first place? I just don't trust him. In my opinion, he s just like bates

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't answer that Irish because I agree it's all very odd, and I doubt we will ever be able to find out what's going on in the background. I don't want to come across as sounding like I think he is the Messiah, because I don't. I just think he was the best option at the time, but it is very worrying that he hasn't severed connections with the likes of Bates and GFH

Agree0 Disagree0

Top post Irish, like you I feel mr Cellino will be every bit as bad as master Bates

12 points from 4 games anybody?

Only 4 points if we are lucky, we are only averaging 1 point a game so far this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh but redfearn has taken his blinkers off and has stopped playing

1. The diamond
2. All the kids

and now were playing much better. I think we'll beat Birmingham comfortably.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would have to be four 1-0 wins by a penalty, seriously though, we need goals from somewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not be at all suprised if Redfearn reverts back to the diamond formation for the home game against Birmingham. He seems to be under the impression that we have had some success with it at home

Hey I know a player that can score goals & he has scored 4 in 6. I think his name is Nicky Ajose or something like that!!!
Oh that's right he is OUR player but we never gave him a proper chance so decided to loan him out.
Oh & what we also need is a tall striker/target man that can score goals. Oh that's right we got rid of him (Matt Smith) so we are looking for another player with no experience of english footy or the championship instead. Doh you couldn't write it at LUFC.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sad, but all true LL

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't post too often my lady, but you are always spot on when you do. Wasn't Ajose the one player MC allowed The Hock to choose?

I don't think any of his goals at Crewe are clinical goals but none the less there still goals and that's what wins you games.
Still hoping for 3 points. Please don't tell me I'm mad. Mot4life

Of course you are mad. Like we all are!
No sane person would choose to go through what we have to endure.

when ajose did play he was soft touch to afraid to tackle bit like the one we had last year

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO this only proves the difference between Championship and League 1, he was like a duck out of water in Championship. The same applies to many players making the move from Championship to Premier.

Looks like the writing is finally on the wall. Cellino's refusal to back NR in the transfer market could possibly be the last straw. I fear for our beloved club now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

NR: Boss, Can I buy an ageing striker who's probably past his best and hasn't played much competitive football in the last year and a half?

MC: No

NR: Oh go on, I'll be your best mate?

MC: No

NR: Oh, ok.

Hardly refusing to back NR is he? He just doesn't see Luciano Becchio as w worthwhile purchase. And I, for one, agree with MC. Becchio isn't worth the money or the risk. MC doesn't want to p*ss money against the wall on cr*p purchases, a refreshing change for a LUFC owner!

I DON'T fear for our beloved club. Supporting Leeds has always been a bumpy ride, get used to it, and get behind them! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

So you reckon Edgar Cani a better option then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Softie!
I loved Luciano and would have welcomed him back, but he would have been a complete risk - just as anyone who comes in will be. We know from the past that some of our cr*p strikers have moved on and done well elsewhere, but other supposedly good ones have joined us and been useless.
And it serves Redders right for opening his gob before he had spoken to MC. I think we are all quite clear on how the transfer policy works. Doubt he will be doing that again in a hurry

Agree0 Disagree0

NR - Hey boss we need a stronger option up front.

MC - OK, I will take a look on the continent for an unproven striker who has hardly played.

NR - Any chance we can get someone familiar with the league

MC - No

NR - Are you sure, I will be your best friend.

MC - No, my friend, and I will probably replace you with an unknown in the near future.

NR - any chance I will get my old job back.

MC - Erm. no

Agree0 Disagree0

DS/SS/Speedy

Ha guys love those posts, well funny.

at the end of the day it is about trying to get someone who is a less of a risk, not easy so to me if you consider Luciano (2 goals in last 2 years or so) that is a big risk (get Matt smith back here if we going that route!).

If we get a forward (tall) who can give us plan B and who will score more than steve "no very good" morrison then we will be better off and how hard can that be??

also bet MC gets found guilty by league appeal by Friday evening/Sat morning then what will happen to any hires I wonder?

Becchio probably would have wanted too much money but if he didn't then he would've been a good addition. This whole disqualification of Cellino from running the club has understandably caused him to tighten the purse strings but what with only 2 or so more weeks of the window left you have to say we are in trouble. Scoring goals is our main problem. Hopefully next season we recruit a proper manager and back him in the market but it would not surprise me if Cellino sells up during 2016.
