No offence guys, but I get the distinct impression that most of you on here are like me, old farts. Thus I hope I cause no offence by assuming that you old farts know what blue pills are. Save yourself some dosh, take in the Championship table. It keeps giving me a bit of a twitch on.

Norwich game sold out in 90 minutes. Leeds fans are screaming for the addition of an extra performance. Something special is happening at Leeds. The giant, long sleeping, has been woken.

We will need an extension anyone know if there is one in the pipeline.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 22:10:54
There's far too many wasted empty seats that's allocated for away fans surely we should be allowed to sell bottom tier in West stand look the Premiership games no segregation just a line of stewards no doubt pc plod will have there say, the South Stand boxes also need taking out much better to have a further 2,000 seats.

I seem to remember Radz saying something about the South Stand being done up this coming close season.

Shove all the away fans in the cheese wedge, most visitors wouldn't even fill that, and let us have the rest of the West Stand :)

I'll put myself hand up. This time a couple of years ago I was calling for Orta's head. I was wrong. He may yet reach legendary status for his part in bringing together the team for the future. If he had a hand in bringing Bub on board and can snare us Kiko - well what more can I say. We are now top in the league, under 23s and under 18s with a plethora of young guns chomping at the bit to break down the door to the first team and performing sublimly when they do. Look where we are now with basically the same players that crashed to 13th last year. Look at Klich and Phillips for example. Seemed it wasn't new players we needed, just the right direction and someone with the nous to bring out the best in them.

Great posts Kiwi. Investment isnā€™t just about buying headline grabbing first team players. Itā€™s about building and fine tuning an infrastructure that supports and maintains success in all your playing squads. Lots of people behind Bielsa are doing a first class job this year in supporting the effort.

The confidence and pride are growing with each game in all parts of club. This isnā€™t like previous campaigns under Monk or Christensen because it is built on something stronger and with a stronger management team.

14 Jan 2019 20:39:51
It is worth noting how they have set it up so they all play the same way. Not only does it produce good football (and good footballers) but you can see the players slipping from one team to another already well drilled and set up to succeed, without missing a beat.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 20:57:04
Definitely and with Carlos as well covering all the first team and under 23 games, that makes a difference to the young kids. He is the face they see and hear at the regular games and when they get promoted he is there as well to offer calming and motivating words. Thatā€™s got to help.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 22:34:10
Also great to see the first team players at the lower games lending their support. When the young ones come up they already know those around them. I think this is what they really mean when they say "Total Football"

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 22:48:58
Agree. All above. We have an amazing set up, management and coaching team and group of players.
Just shows u how bad Christensen and monk were.
Just goes to show you how bad most managers are. They only do a bit part job. They just manage first team and scream for new players when things go wrong.
We have the king manager and entourage.

Good posts. Monk wasn't bad Aus, just very limited. He also beat us this season. Orta bought well considering the budget especially the youngsters and he needs to keep going.

It's just nice that we have had the same coach from the start of the season until after xmas .
M B getting more out of the players than last year and even the games we have lost except the west brom game we have at least played with attack in mind .

Looking back at the Derby game I still can't get my head around how dirthy they were and how much they got away with . Still think they could of had a couple of reds Alioski give him his due put in a shift, was battered a few times and got up and kept plugging away. Earlier in the season I thought after couple of hefty tackles he shied away, didn't really want to know and then went hiding . Friday night he seemed to have a lot more fight in him . Maybe some of the Yorkshire grit is rubbing off on him and he finally understands what is needed from him in order to wear the shirt.

Alioski has always had the right spirit and skills. Just needed to find the right role for him. Took to left back like a duck to water. Runs all day gives it everything and love his cheeky grin.

Also less chance of him getting caught offside at left back! Fair play to him though - he was very good v Derby. Lots of passion too.

14 Jan 2019 20:42:35
Somehow, he managed to get pinged offside last week. Ironically, even when he wasn't. But point taken and well made.

Why wouldn't he love Leeds? He won't play for a bigger or better club ALAW.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2019 10:22:08
Thing is with Ali is his pace which I believe is the cause of why he gets caught offside .
Even when his playing the wing he tracks back, with him it's a little tweak here and there and his game will improve.

U23s win 2-0 with Izzy looking fit and grabbing both goals. KP playing more forward with Shacks holding KunT up front showing promise but a way to go yet to get in first team. Another good game from Gotts and Stevens and win never looked in doubt.

Plenty of use made of subs as well. Struijk had a good game making two or three good blocks, as did Halme. Edmondson looked back to his usual self as well so everything looking good guys.

Good report BIGE, excellent news about Brown.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 18:18:16
Thought Halme looked assured, not afraid to bring the ball out into midfield when the chance arose, but whether he could handle a nutter like Waghorne is another matter.

14 Jan 2019 20:09:45
Aapo made some good passes as well. Good to see all three of the CBS getting game time. Itā€™s difficult to give everyone gametime for the under 23s at the moment. No Oduor, Nicell, Mcalmont ir Dalby today.

15 Jan 2019 06:59:02
If anything that shows the depth at that level VO has built up

Cover for every position, no need to play with a knock

Thereā€™s players out on loan to add to the mix

Sadly a few will be sold on to generate more income but itā€™s quite a turn round in the academy.

I think one more full game for the under 23s and he must be ready for the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 12:37:26
An opinion piece on one of the sites has the views of 4 pundits regarding whether the new keeper from Real should go straight in net, or sit on the bench until BPF provides further reason for being dropped. Personally, I am grateful for Bogs efforts, but I would put the new guy straight in. I have wondered a few times WTF is he doing out near the halfway line, as against Derby, when he could have come unstuck and his kick to the Derby player's head was also reckless. At times he has fallen lucky and I reckon he has a couple of seasons before he will be a first teamer. One for the future as we say.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 Jan 2019 12:48:34
Tory His medical results won't be known until probably Thursday. I'd therefore have him get used to atmosphere and soak in a game and to observe what's required first. Then, unless BPF pulls off a couple of worldie saves and a clean sheet against Stoke I'd put him in for the next game.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 12:54:06
he is a bit rusty by all accounts so maybe throwing him straight in wouldn't be a great idea. MB will know best i'm sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 12:57:28
Think we should show more respect to BPF a young guy thrown in at the deep end.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 13:06:59
Agree with George

Let the new guy acclimatise first. I am sure he is a consumate professional and has been involved in many huge atmospheres, but he is human. Get the boxes unpacked at his hotel. Meet his new teammates. Checkout the Leeds atmosphere

If BPF is the difference between us going up or staying down then I don't think we deserve to go up. We should be working as a team and winning as a team. Roofe has made as many mistakes as BPF but we support him through thick and thin

I am encouraged by the fact we are only looking at players who can compete in the Premier league. Really don't want to see us using our money on stopgap for this season.
I don't think Sol is an upgrade on Roofe or Bamford. I would prefer us to loan Llorente for 6 months.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 13:13:12
absolutely Wex - he saved us last year when all we had was the hopeless Felix and has done really well this season despite a few hiccups. Even top keepers make mistakes so we shouldn't be so hard on a lad who is still learning. Plus, if we get someone else in and he's in the first team when will BPF get his chances to play and grow - hopefully not just in the U23s and cup games or he won't develop as well as he needs to.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 14:49:07
Defo with the ā€œlet him settle campā€ on this one. Itā€™s going to take 3 or 4 weeks for him to get used to his new team mates, learn the Bielsa way, and get sharper.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 15:15:13
I think he'll be playing after the Stoke game, I also think he'll be impressed when he walks out at ER, after the somewhat dull and quiet shed in Madrid. axe, with you on signing PL class players, no point in "proven Championship players"

Wex Agreed some have forgot that mate,

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jan 2019 20:17:27
He has to arrive first, but if he does, is it really Bielsa style to throw him straight in? Might we see him at Tadcaster next Monday?

My gut is that Bielsa will want him to soak up the atmosphere and show how good and how ready he is in training. Once heā€™s done that, heā€™ll be in the team.
