I also dnt remember an owner in my time going in the away end with our supporters at an away game ever? Maybe publicity stunt maybe not but that got my vote that day!

I keep saying it and it's only my opinion : but if Cellino sells up and to be honest I would if my family had been threatened? Anyway who really is out there to put proper investment into the club? We haveoverthe years had so many people who say they got us at heart but in reality nothing comes of it so becareful what u wish for?

Nobody Peterboro could not agree more. If Massimo pushed out be prepared for a fire sale which will cripple us for years if not destroy us completely.

If I was MC at the minute and pizzed off so much with the club which has put me let's say 35 mil in the hole I would: 1. sell the "stars" Cook Coyle Mowatt Peacock-Farrel Wood and who ever else was worth a bit of money. That would give me back about 25 mil. 2. get rid of the club for whatever I could get to whoever. All he would need to get is 10 mill to get his money back. That is the situation that all the MC haters has put our club in. So Peteboro and wex, I agree and if he does that we are up the creek without a paddle.

Personally lads i'd like Cellino gone but as you say there are no buyers out there. I don't believe he is doing much good for the club but as you all say at least we are still trading, so to speak. But i still don't believe that his heart is in Leeds but that he bought the club to make money. However he underestimated the championship and now realises it can't be done on the cheap. Just my opinion.

Agree with your post.

A replacement owner shall be a difficult search but not impossible. I predict old names gone by may re-bid. They won't be ideal but at least they won't mess us around to the extent we've been mucked about in the last decade.

We will have purged ourselves of a cancer. League One bound almost fo sure under your scenario but rather that than put up with his regime any longer. GFH need to go as another priority too.

George nobody lining up to buy the club but they will line up to buy our only assets players when they are put out to the highest bidder.

We don't know whose out there to buy the club until it actually goes up for sale maybe there is maybe there ain't if that's the case Cellino will after continue to run it as he's allegedly said.

Given MC's lack of knowledge and understanding of the English game and the Championship

and

Given the number of mistakes and gaffs he has made (that we are aware of)

My question is what mistakes and gaffs has he made behind the scenes which we are not aware of and what financial errors and gaffs is likely to make again in the future.

I know he's cocked quite a lot up since coming to our beloved club but don't forget he is a billionaire business man. He might not have a clue about English football but he knows his way around money and finance.
Wasn't it reported that he dragged us out of another financial crisis when GFH were at the Reign?
He's not done much for the club on the pitch but we got to be greatfull for saving us from that off it.

It's not him but his family who are extremely wealthy. He was trying to get us promoted on the cheap. Now he realizes he can't achieve that he wants out because we are a play thing. He won't access the big family money for us.

All that was is debt swapping. You think in absence of a promotion we don't owe that money to him? It's convertible loan stock which he probably won't convert because no PL under his tenure.

The only thing he'll convert is the sale of young players.

15 May 2016 17:20:52
Cellino has put a total of £42.9 million into the club. That includes what he paid Gfh originally. Stop making him out to be some Saint who just keeps giving us money. He overpaid for the club, which was down to his own stupidity. He loaned us some money due to the fact we keep losing court cases, which are namely down to his useless way of conducting business. He's made a sale less likely by offering a refund on season tickets. He's just trying to make people feel sorry for him, before selling Cook in the summer. It's the people who he mistreat that deserve sympathy, and MM'S sister in law. If he ever gets spied on by MM, then we might feel slightly sorry for him.

I can't decide on massimo

If he's scared to walk down the road in Leeds, then that is a sad situation for him and his family
Does he have money to spend? Is he allowed to spend some
Surely watching play offs it's clear players like foristieri are what's needed.
Why own a club and not speculate to achieve better league position, for better crowds= more money etc.
Can LUFC make him enough profit just finishing 14 the very year.
I'm really torn between good owner/ bad owner.
I think this summer will ultimately decide his fate. Proper manager, 3 or4 decent players and fans will see improvement. Perhaps he can walk down the street and get positive reception from us fans.

What about jokanovic? After all, he got Watford promoted. Could never understand why they got rid. Who's to say he wouldn't have done an equally good job to what Flores has. Unless of course he's already found new employment. That said I'd obviously jump all over Flores like a tramp on a kipper if he wanted to come to us .

So what? 1. Cellino will probably sell them anyway. 2. Most Leeds fans still bite your hand off - if Cellino slings his hook but it means selling Cook and Taylor and even Mowatt then so be it. So long as he leaves. 3. Ever occur to you the club are in such disarray if Cellino stays those players will want to leave anyway? 4. Losing those players does not mean League One but I'd take League One for a year or two if it meant securing a great replacement owner and ridding ourselves of GFH.

Maybe should be put to a vote.

Idea for poll. If it meant losing young talent for decent transfer fees and popping into League One for a year before bouncing back into the Championship but getting rid of Cellino and GFH and replacing him with a great sensible longterm rich owner, who would welcome it and who would say stick with the Italian?

Ausman

Thanks for the comparison.

{Ed033's Note - A vote would have a bit of a reality problem with, "great sensible longterm rich owner"

It's not about being rid of owner. It's being rid no matter what the consequences are.

14 May 2016 21:12:31
One if cellino sells and we go down to league one it will not be for just a couple of seasons. A mega rich owner would not buy us no ground no team league one not worth the risk. We would end up with some consrtium happy if we got back in championship then keep afloat by selling talent. Only one gone in two years under cellino is byram and he wanted to.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2016 18:18:05
Ed033

It's not that far fetched. Plenty of PL and a few Championship teams can attest to the same, ie decent owners.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - The vote should be, 'Do you want rid of the owner'; 'yes' or 'no',
not
Do you want,
Leeds into league 1 bounce back into championship + great sensible longterm rich owner,
or
get rid of owner.

15 May 2016 00:33:54
Get rid of silly-ino?

He is reckless and mad, says the wring thing all the time / bordering on turretts and his judgement is questionable . BUT!

Stability is the key, no?

A Leeds lad with many millions would be great but some objectivity is useful.

A wise-guy serial "chairman" would would essentially asset strip is no good either.

For me, silly-ino stays, for now.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 May 2016 09:50:57
George, you've made it sound so easy - we can sell all our best players and go down to league 1 to get rid of Cellino and get a rich owner in the process. If it was that easy surely we would have done it years ago (or the last time we were in league one perhaps) your point about players leaving if the confusion/ chaos continues is a valid one though that I do agree with.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2016 14:21:34

I don't say it as a viable option I say I'd happily trade it at this point.

The way we are carrying on we about to lose our talent anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2016 13:15:23
With regards to Evans he really has done nothing wrong to warrant loosing his job. A different owner would more than likely keep him. Then with different owners we most likely would not have gone through so many managers and he would not have got the job.

On a different note really think 5 or 6 players is all we need . For example if we had McBadgekisser, Forresteri, Limbombe, Barton and a couple of decent Centre Halfs we would be pushing auto in MHO . Apart from McBadgekisser the rest would not have cost that much to recruit 5 or 6 million . We really are not that far away . Just some sensible recruitment.

One final point I am not sure if Cellino has the money.

Why should he trust managers to buy players with his money' and then lose games and then new manager surprise wants diff players. Thus. Mc buys. Coach coaches
Why throw your money at mediorocricy talk but not walk managers?

At least there are a few quality managers out there to choose from. Bit unfortunate for stevans. Hopefully he will be put out of his misery soon. He can walk out with pride, not perfect but did the best he could in a reasonably short space of time with limited stock.
High hopes for next season. Usually my heart rules my head but at moment I'm seriously thinking over the next 3 months the jigsaw will be completed
