{Ed013's Note - Ladies and Gents In the coming weeks I will be writing a letter of complaint to Leeds about how season ticket holders s**t out. It seems the way ahead is to be a member. Surely Leeds want more season ticket holders, but I am seeing less and less of a glory factor in doing it. I cant make mid week games due to work commitments (not Leeds fault!) but we pay up front and get the same as a member (I have nothing against memebers) To me 3 x £5 vouchers is useless as I dont need to buy any tickets as I have a season ticket! OK i can give them to my family and they can benefit, but what do I get?! Last season a waste of time as it was dull, I renew as I do every year and dont even get a set of badges lol! I think we need rewarding in another way, maybe 20% discount in the shop or something! Thoughts please?}

Two years ago we got a nice wallet, last year some quite nice badges I thought and a bottle opener, but as you rightly point out we get the same benefits as members. Forgive me, just because I am a season ticket holder makes me no better than any other Leeds supporter, I'm in a position where I don't work or play on a Saturday, so love to watch Leeds. Still I have stumped my money up over the past few years out of love of the club and agree with you Ed maybe an added extra wouldn't go a miss. My added extra would be McCormack re-signing or maybe Tevez on a season long loan :) {Ed013's Note - I have no drama's with members either, some people cannot make it every sat and its a good scheme for them. I just think if you pay all that money up front then we deserve that added extra}

I am a member, due to being a law student and I feel the 3 x £5 voucher is stupid. I wont buy things over the Internet so it's useless. They should give us half price home shirts and season ticket holders should get free home shirts as they pay an extortionate price

I'm a member and think £5 off 3 home games is a good idea. I would rather have that than badges.

I know we heard it all before but rumours are rife takeover done. Exactly 1 week after watfords and sunderlands takeover supposadly collopsed! t went through, it is a week tommorow our was said to have fallen through hope we get the same result as them. On another note does anyone know who the 4 trialists are who played for reserves last night? I thnk 1 was gomez and know 3 of them scored. Tommo.lufc.84

Another was heskey and I heard Faubert was another but I'm not sure .

Defo one is Gommez the rest i dont know. I do think however this may mean that takeover is in the balance still. Bear with me i know the takeover subject is a total bore now. Think about it, if takeover goes thru, thats fine, NW will get his marquee signings job done. If not, we have trialists waiting in the wings, it's a plan B. So to those saying takeover done, well no-one knows for sure. But know that NW is prepared either way

Ed's Just a quick nothing to do with rumours when we make comments / replies etc how is it some people's names are used and some don't I always sign mine (as requested a while ago) too stop spammers!yet sometimes lately my Id isn't comming up ? Honestly just when i was getting excited about things at leeds warnock comes out and p****s me off honestly think he is a bad man management skills who tells his squad "If I put my hand on my heart, I don’t think we’re automatic promotion material." “You need a bit of luck to finish in the top six and you can’t always rely on luck but, first and foremost, you need the players. I’m going into the season with a lot of the players I wanted." unbelievable to me he is saying this fair enough he wants to be straight but it shows a sign he is not truly backing his players to get the job done he did this when he arrived last year when in 7th 3 points off promotion and leeds spirralled to poor performances for the rest of the year finishing like relegation candidates rather than promotion contenders prob sure everyone will give out about what i have said but i am optimistic about this season as much as anyone but warnock is noot helping the players one bit he should be encouraging them BrianMOT {Ed013's Note - He is taking the pressure off the players}

Happy with some of the signings. But not high profile enough. With this team I ca only see a fight for playoffs. Leeds fans will not be happy with that. Think we need a right winger. Boyd from Peterborough And a striker. Simeon Jackson from Norwich. And no more selling good players would do for me. Personally would be happy with top six. And if Warnock can work his magic maybe promotion. But that's a big maybe Mot

I'd be happy with playoffs until the heartache of us inevitably losing in them haha. We arent great with playoffs now are we lads :)

I'm a FM addict. Having just read about Portsmouth fielding a team of teenagers in a cup match and noticing Sam Magri was one of them, with the benefit of computer generated foresight I can say that he looks like a very decent prospect at centre back and we should take advantage of Pompey's woes (yet again) and pounce - he could be a good value addition for the future.

Anyone else use FM to scout new (potential) signings? Own up!

I think that the new number 6 aka kisnobo should be the season captin 1 he is the player there longest and knows what the supporters want 2 he is at the age he has the father figure and 3 he is a cd so he can see what is going on all over the pitch

And 4 he isnt in the starting Line up Captaining from the bench/reserves i like you thinking :)

You obviously didn't see Kisborbo last season. He's been a good servant to the club, but his body isn't up to it at all. Was at fault in most of the games he played in due to lack of pace

Also a captain needs to be playing all the time,which i dont think Paddy will be.

Hi, reasonable call, but barring injuries I cannot see him getting a start, a captain is better served on the pitch, not the bench.

One problem. He won't play! In my opinion I think we are in for a shock with peltier getting the arm band

Kissa won't start more than 15 league games so what's the point of making him skipper?

well i think our squad is great just get that pacey striker we need and winger and we gonna be unbeatable 22/1 for us not to get beaten at Elland road this season gotta be worth ten quid i,ve got a'lot of confidence in our defence they look real solid.This area we have lacked in for years. i really do hope we could get that Maynard ive always liked him and maybe boyd but id prefer Tempelton anyday.

If you think our defence is solid you can't have been at the Shrews game. Still work to be done yet.

Im getting a little confused at mo..
I thought last week the takeover collapsed? It was on SSN... Theres still a lot of talk of people saying they think the takeover will be completed this week or by the end of the transfer window.. Can someone please clear up whats going on?

With or without a takeover being completed im really optimistic of this season.. Warnock has brought in some good players and our defence will finally be tight.. Bring on next season!

Just throwing this out there..... The takeover is gone as far as I am concerned...But here's the thing....I don't think we need a takeover this season. I reckon we have enough to get us promoted. When we do we will get a bigger catch than the one that was mentioned last month. I think we are in for one hell of a ride this season. Also a couple of surprises, or maybe not so much of a surprise. Diouf, Somma, Becchio and McCormack will all feature and do well. I also believe Varney will do a job for us.

These are both my thoughts and wishes I suppose.

Well its sounding more and more like bates wants to actually sell the club now . he thought the fans was happy at the new signing things around the club was on a bit of an high so he asked for more money next thing takeover off = fans been furious and BATES OUT flying around forums again . bates as now had a change of heart as he could only see 1 outcome to this season and thats less tickets sold and more marches with chants of bates out causing the price of leeds united to drop so now is going to sell for original price .

I am a Leeds supporter of many years, and like all supporters have looked avidly at all the rumours of the proposed takeover.
The club it seems are the ones (Mr Bates) who has tried to mess around with the buyers at a late stage, that brought about the collapse of the buyout last week.
The buyers are wanting to complete on the deal before the start of the Season, and are very confident to do so.
I personally think that the deal will be done before Kick off Saturday.

Jordan Rhodes will NOT be coming to Leeds please stop dreaming! He's not proven at this despite a very impressive goal tally last season, but Billy Paynter's good in league 1 so you never can tell, secondly they want at least 6 million for him and if we had that money we'd of spent it by now on several top players which we haven't, finally do you really think Simon Grayson will let him go to a rival club? He always used to say at Leeds that if he was to sell players they'd not be playing against us, he won't of changed his mind. My post seems a bit negative but I'm very impressed with NW's new look team and really feel this could be our year, another striker is probably needed but there's always time, can't wait till wolves Saturday. MOT!

Wasn't he the manager in charge when we sold Kilkenny to another championship side (Bristol City). I agree that i dont think we will get rhodes but the argument about him not selling to rival club isnt true.

Kilkenny wasn't sold to anybody. His contract ended so he could go where he wanted.
