Me and Mrs Integrity are going on our holidays soon. I told her I want to go somewhere that'll give me wood and she said she wants to go somewhere that'll fulfil her dreams and goals. We're off to Burnley for a fortnight stay end of August!

Not a bad result against one of the favourites. They haven't set the league alight yet but well organized and move well. Kept them down to one shot on target and had a few chances ourselves. We will get better but another clean sheet is pleasing - just need to put our chances away.

I agree. Good game, fair contest. we were better in midfield than vs Preston. interesting to see Hernandez and Saiz playing together, some good and creative interchanges between them. Alioski did ok, got a ovation when he came off. Goalkeeper made a couple of good saves and is growing in confidence.

Shaunessy is a bit of a find, mad a couple if timely interventions and is settling into the Centre of defence well, could save us a bit of cash! 5 points from 3 games, not a bad start. Just got a feeling the Saiz, Alioski and Her anden can have a really good year, real skill, just need to make sure we have the defensive core in the team as well.

Philips needs to be sent out on loan

Believable1 Unbelievable7

16 Aug 2017 05:10:44
Pointless. He is pretty much the player he's going to be. From what I've seen of him, he tends to struggle in home fixtures as away side load midfield and get men behind the ball. I can see Klich and Vieira coming into the reckoning now.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Aug 2017 09:55:59
I have to disagree on this. I think Phillips has a huge role to play this year at Leeds. Yes he gets criticism from us, including me, for his distribution. But with the way I think TC likes to play, he doesn't want 2 holding players, but instead wants one of the CMs to join the attack. If you then look at the players we have, I don't think we have anyone who does this job better than Phillips at the moment. Yes Vieira is a better all round CM, but is more of an 'enforcer' and breaks up the play brilliantly. Bridcutt is defensive and Klich is unknown at the moment. We should be getting behind ALL players, but always seem to have scapegoats ready (Cooper and Phillips) . Anyway was a good point yesterday, and let's hope for the same performance against Sunderland. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2017 10:33:09
Rubbish, agree Viera and Phillips should be rotated but he does the job he is asked to do, unlike Wood shall we send him out on loan. I did not see the game but stats gave him a seven. Klitch should play a part but no one knows how well he will do. Midfield places still to be sorted but it is a team game and to say Phillips is not good enough is delusional.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 21:48:27
Working this evening so never had access to the game. Stats can be misleading but appears Fulham enjoyed lions share of the game. However, this didn't surprise me Fulham established team, I will wait until ten games to properly evaluate how we will do this year. Personally I think Klich will be a very important player for us this year 👍

Believable2 Unbelievable2

15 Aug 2017 22:00:36
What makes you say that? I don't know either way with klich, but be interested in to why you're confident in him?

15 Aug 2017 22:21:13
Both teams evenly matched imo, we had a lot of ball without creating a great deal, they hit us on counter attack 2nd half, bit dissapointed with alioski (after the hype) . ekuban up top with wood for last 10 would have been something a bit different, positives being 2 clean sheets on Trot, just feel like we are one key offensive player short.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 22:42:14
Me too but was told Felix made some good saves and Shaughnessy had a decent game. Saiz and Alioski played ok. Decent match by all acccounts. Wood lost another one on one. Early days and still to work out best team but still unbeaten so onwards and upwards

Snap their hand off quick. Wood has had his head turned with this transfer talk. And is not putting the bell away like he should be. Sorry guys but think we should sell. And try something else up top. We are unbeaten in 3. In the play off spots and a lot better off than this time last season. So Not being negative just think wood needs left out and try ecuban up top. I know we wer at home and a win would have been great and Fulham are a good team. MOT. Just beat Sunderland next up. ⚽️⚽️👍😃

I think decisions like whether to sell Wood are the decisions that the Coach and managemebt team are paid to make and hopefully get right. The coach made it very clear that he wanted him to stay and the board seem to have supported him. To be fair Wood also seems to have avoided any heavy hints that he wants to go. Presumably the decision was also made on the basis of what else was available. Now everyone has to show the decision was right. At least it also shows that we can be firm and say we are not going to sell. Good lucky Woody, now start knocking them in again!

OMG, The Daily Star reports that Chris Wood is reportedly unhappy that Leeds are ruining him his dream move to Burnley, yes you read right! Dream move to Burnley! He really doesn't have a lot of dreams then! He reportedly has said that he wants to prove himself in the Prem! Hasn't he tried already and failed miserably! We've had Beckford, Becchio, McBadgekisser, Lewis Cook, Delph, Gradel and the latest being Charlie Taylor and being brutally honest, they have not done much since they left us, Chris Wood, the grass is not always greener on the other side, stay with Leeds, help get us in the Prem, you could become a legend and a crowd hero, and get your head down and reward the club that wanted you when others didn't and who knows in ten months you just might be back in the Premiership with Leeds United, now that's a dream! Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2017 19:11:12
I still don't see how people continue to feel sorry for or sympathise with players who throw their toys out of the Pram to get a move when they are under contract. It is a legally binding document, you agreed the length and terms for it. so if the club don't want to sell you tough! I don't like where I work, but as I'm under a contract I can't just say I'm unhappy I'm going on strike! If he does arse about like that then fine him and let him rot in the reserves! actually no, because that takes the reserve place of a youth player, a player coming back from injury or someone who wants to work hard to break into the first time. Also 'dream move' to Burnley? wow ambition at its highest

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Aug 2017 17:46:24
Maybe, just maybe now we've turned down a second bid from Burnley (assuming its between £16 and £20m) other clubs will baulk at the price and look elsewhere. Well done Radz for showing ambition. This guy is a breath of fresh air. Bates would've sold Woody for an undisclosed fee (probably in the region of £2m) the minute the big boys came calling and trousered the money in his Cayman Islands off-shore account (allegedly) ! MM

Believable3 Unbelievable1

15 Aug 2017 18:54:12
I really don't understand some players MM, in a way we rescued Wood from the reserves and before that he was tried in the Prem and it didn't work out so we came in and paid £3M for him and he has played well and he's now back on other teams radars, but my question is where is the loyalty because unlike the players us fans stay with LUFC through thick and thin, season after season, defeat after defeat and relegation and more relagation and we don't get paid £25 - £50 grand a week for our troubles! It's about time us fans get what we deserve. loyalty and commitment, our beautiful game of football would be a lot better if it was like that! Still hasn't converted the West Stand into a Hooters yet, but I'll wait until the transfer window has slammed shut before I'm too critical as I'm sure he's busy looking for more midfielders to sign four year deals at the moment (*sign a central defender please) ! Agree0 Disagree2

15 Aug 2017 12:38:05
£20m doesn't get you 2 strikers in the current market, not proven ones that are worth having at least, these guys are going for £12m-£15m. Might just about get a ST and a CB with a couple of million in change, unless we take a risk on someone that might score in this league and that's a huge risk.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 15:16:50
I really like wood, however it was only this time last year against fulham everyone was giving him a load of abuse and he scored and gave the crowd a sign when scoring. At that point last year we would have laughed our heads off at wood going for 20 million 12 months later. i'd be sad to see him go as he will be good for us this year but that is a hell of a lot of money to turn down. and i disagree you could pick up 2 st and CB for that. Look at Alioski and Saiz yes they still have a lot to prove but they look two brilliant players and they cost us 4/5Mil tops.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 16:11:34
Thats a winger and an attacking mid last time I checked Phill not strikers. That said yeah, maybe Ekuban will score 20+ or that German lad we are looking at, the key point is 'proven', you can take a risk on a 'might' fairly cheap but someone you know can an will score that many is a different matter. Antonsson looked a steal when we signed him.

Message for Leeds1988. I'm presuming your a Spurs fan, based on comments on this site? So, what's your opinion on the Danny Rose saga? Are you more than slightly embarrassed by his comments about wanting to be a player who people remember and don't have to Google? Are you equally embarrassed that he went on to say that he wanted to play for a team that actually won something? Or, are you just embarrassed because you sit alone at night in your flee pit whilst trolling on this site in the hope of getting a rise? The only rise you'll get sun shine is when you're sniffing your sister's knickers. Now move along kid and get yourself a bit of an education. Don't want to be controversial and as much as I loved Yeboah's goal and was at the match, I've always said Dennis Bergkamp's goal was the best I've ever seen. I still can't figure out how he span the barcode defender and have never seen it done since. Then to have the awareness to compose himself for a calm placed finish instead of lamping it, says all there is to say about a player, who on his day was pure genius. MM

Looking forward to tonight's game, another home game and on paper tougher than Saturday's . I'm really interested to see how the players and management team respond although there hasn't been much time. We need to try and get some midfield control. So who will be best to do that, Saiz, Kilch and Viera, Alioski and Dallas on the wings?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2017 11:09:24
Would start with Alioski, Viera, Saiz. O, Kane. Question is do we stick to 5 in midfield, which is what's expected or two up front. Be interesting to see what Wood and Ekuban could do up front.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 11:28:34
Dallas, O'Kane, Saiz, Anita, Alioski. Switch out Dallas for Viera, switch Alioski to the left and Viera to right wing, throw on Ekuban and move to a 4-4-2 for the last 20 minutes. It's like a crazy game of slide-a-square with our midfielders this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 11:29:06
I'd like to see two up front, be nice to see some variation and what wood can do with a partner. Be nice to see Ekuban get some time and see what he's like, but if TC decides he isn't ready yet, Roofe and Wood?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 12:46:24
Could be worth giving two up front a go especially at home to see if it gives us more control of the game and we have options as to who could partner Wood. I think resting Roofe and starting with Dallas and Alioski, bring Roofe on later in the game to have a go.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 12:48:16
4-4-2 would see us playing long ball because our midfield will get over run, reason no decent teams play it. If we want to play 2 up top then 3-5-2 but i'm not sure I would trust our defense to pull that off, maybe if we got Ziegler and Pennington was fit.

I don't know - Gray hardly lit up the Premiership last year with his goals. I think he only scored about 5 all season and 3 of those were against a below par Sunderland. surely Wood is better than that?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 08:44:14
In a normal season I would expect Wood to get between 15 and 20 goals in the championship -depending on how many penalties he scores. Last season I think was exceptional and I don't see him doing it again although I hope he does. Let's see in May if he is still here.

Lots of chatter this morning that Burnley are going to hit us with 20mill for Woody! Please if they do then just make sure it's all reinvested, we can't replace his goal tally from last year with just 1 player so show some intent n go after maybe Danny inngs, Jordan Rhodes nakhi wells or zahore a combo of those would do me and look at playing with 2 up top! More concerned about replacing his goal-line clearances. Where to find a big 30 goal striker that defends at corners? Not great with the ball at hit feet, mind. Don't really see that McCormack would fit into this shape unless playing the number 10 role and I'd rather see Saiz there. Why not give Ekuban a run?

20 mill. No brainer, sell him. Good championship striker but indespensable, no.
