There's debate on here whether BMd good manager or not. I say he is but he's not for Leeds. We are too big a club for him. I know he has not had the resources but his team selection formations tactics and recruitment even though they were freebies are tell tale signs of a good manager who has cracked under pressure. Take away the legend who is Ross where would we be? Other signs are his constant referencing to Reading. My opinion even with resources he won't fair much better. I think Cellino will complete takeover soon give BMd to end of season then fire him when it's mathematically impossible to reach play offs. I expect us to hang in there but not quite do enough so by mid April Brian is gone. Next season new manager maybe RDM and better players should be very exciting!

I don't get u saying we ARE a big club, yes we have amazing fans but at the minute that is all we have over other teams around us, we can be a big club again and hopefully soon but I'm afraid to say (and it pains me to) we aren't at the moment. I agree with the constant reading references it's getting as bad as warnock with qpr! When the takeover is sorted I hope he will be given time to build but I suspect not. And I don't get why people want RDM he did ok at west brom and took a Chelsea side that was massively player powered to and won the champ final, think he finished 5th that year too with the squad they had was poor. As for Ross u could take any one player out of a few sides and they would be poor, but u can't use that because we have him and don't forget its Brian that has helped him start scoring goals again. He looks a different player under Brian than he has with others yes he's playing in his best position and yes it wasn't rocket science but everyone saw on deadline day how much Ross thinks of him and I don't think that's a coincidence. I hear people saying look at what varney is saying about Brian (I've not seen it if Ed could shed some light) but how many times do u see players that leave a club slate the manager, loads of times. I've said it in previous posts we need continuity not change all the time. U may have said before Ed but what's your thoughts on it? I think give him the summer let him get a proper team together and see where we are at Xmas.

{Ed013's Note - I think he should be given time and support. sacking managers every season clearly doesn't work. I still believe if Simon Grayson was backed he would have achieved more at Leeds. As for Varney, he is clearly bitter and was never a fans favorite, no great loss there}

the question is, is there anyone better out there tat Leeds isn't too big a club for?
If there is then he's not available .
not many managers will of managed a team with a fan base the size of ours.
Personally I would keep bmd .
its ok saying his team picking, tactics and formation were not good but what could he do different?
if he went 4-4-2 at start of season he could only pick a weak team as we had no wingers .
he could of used diouf, white, pugh or varney as wide men but none of them are really proper wide midfielders.
byram was injured and austin was suspended.
if bmd had an extra few mil or some money to sign two loan wide men at beginning of season i'm sure he would of and we would of been in a better position now.
I think his decisions at times have been poor but whos to say another manager won't make the same mistakes . I would like to see stability at the club which we had when grayson was at Leeds at least we was always going forward each year until we ran out of funds.

Can any one name a player that played for leeds that was the best player for them that they did nt mean to sign?

Andy Hughes. we only signed him because he was cheap and available, and we needed players desperately. never gave less than 100%.

Deffo the Chief. I reckon he was signed along with Massinga who was at the time the marque signing. To be fair Phil was a decent player and hit the ground running as Lucas took a while to get into the first team. once he did, as the say, the rest his history! What a player and 'loyal' player at that. Not a lot can say that these days.

Hi ed 13 and all you hard working eds out there not written anything on here for a while but still read everything everyday ( yes I'm the same as you other sado's who do it for the daily tit bit that is LEEDS! Have any of you guys really got info on this saga called the football league do we know what extra details they require from cellino and the real time scale left till decision day? as around Xmas time didn't charltons new owner get the OK within days and correct me if I'm wrong he's had a shady past also? They now are loaning players from his other club, so how come?so why is it we never get a fair crack with anything that's is

The football league must ensure Cellino can take over the debts and GFH have made it difficult by every man and their dog with small shares in them}

I wrote back in November that p bam ford was being touted for a move away from loan deal at Mk dons we were looking apparently along with others 2 teams guess derby were the others?shame would've been quality along with Ross . What you guys think?.

Me same but just watched Liverpool v LEEDS game 3-4 when we were 2-0 down those were the days brought a wry smile from this old granite faced LEEDS fan it did! We had a few good players in the side then full of passion and commitment through team too! Those were the days

Hey Lucas, was just about to post something similar. What's everyone up to on this windy afternoon with no football. I'm trying my best to get smashed on cheap French lager. At least Brolin actually scored a few goals despite being a pub player Bessone should be blanked from the mind.

Brolin may be too easy but the answer has to be the Stockholm Lard Mountain. I think there was real anger as regards him as expectations were so high and things ended with him waddling about Selhurst Park claiming to co-manage Palace with Popeye Lombardo and getting his head bandage knocked off against Leeds (I was there and had to laugh my head off) .

If cellino is confident of FL approval, I do not understand why there is a delay in signing any players on loan? If he completes we have players in the squad, if not we can send them back. Much more delay and we will be scraping the barrell again.

Cellino is confident that if FL follow their own rules and act like they always have then he will pass test.
However he will have been made aware of LUFC record with The Football League when comes to rules and the reaction there has been from some to his attempt to buy LUFC.
He doesn't trust the FL to do what they should by their own rules!
