This Becchio talk is ridiculous at times. Lets put it into perspective; at the beginning of the season, a couple of months ago even, the majority of posters on Leeds fan sites were saying that he's not good enough, so get rid. After 19 goals, he's seen as a striker who may be worth a punt in the premiership by the likes of Wigan. He's a good player and apart from last season, has delivered for us in his time at ER. At 29, he's bound to think it may be now or never for him with regards to playing at the top level - I wouldn't blame him for going, any more than I blamed Snoddy. It's more about the new owners showing ambition and I think if we're honest none of us really believe we're good enough to get promoted this season - it'd be great if it happens, but it seems unlikely. Ambition means looking to the future and sustained success - if the team that goes up next season includes Byram and Lees but not Lucianno, then that to me is more about ambition. Good luck to the Argentinian whatever he does - overall, he's done us proud.

Couldn't make the game tonight as had to work :/ but there are many positives to tonight win,

We came from behind and showed the spirit and determination to get a win.

We won away from home.

We scored goals that weren't from Luciano Becchio.

We've advanced into the next round of the cup and that will give more motivation.

Keep the faith Leeds fans anything can happen in football!

Thats what i have been saying, it would be a shame as this seasons shaping up to be his best.

Looking like Becchio will leave, complete joke. Yes we're not the club we once were but still don't get how a massive club like Leeds has turned into a feeder club. As far as a replacement goes, Austin - no chance. Wells I would love but I can't see it happening. Jamie Mackie I would love here, great player and so under ratted. Warnock, make some GOOD signs or walk out of our club please.

Its not becchio's fault that NW feels the only way anyone can get the ball to him is by launching it half length of pitch. I would like to see Becchio used as a bit of a 'Heskyesque' target man who in turn would free up space for the likes of rosco or poleon. I fear sadly that NW is a bit of a one trick pony tactically speaking.

Not for one minute am I saying all of our problems are now solved! However if you pass the bal on the ground we play 100x better FACT. Second half we played along the floor and WALLA! We apparently controlled the game.

He does realise this, he said after the game we probably passed the ball around more as becchio wasnt playing so they didn't just hoof it up to him. Also sounded very cagey about the sickness he had, was not linked with the squad sickness, was just sick? hhhm?

In relation to the Humble Pie post I would say most Leeds fans would agree that 3 points against Barnsley on Saturday would have been far better than the win tonight. We are not going to win the FA cup and promotion has to be our priority. Promotion is achieved by building a strong squad of players dedicated to our cause. Not by loanees coming in for a few weeks and then heading back to their clubs. This is Leeds United. We deserve better than we are getting and, so far, nothing has changed since Bates sold his shares ( as we are led to believe!)

Has anyone thought about this, we have played awfull awfull stuff and yet still with a win we can go 2 points closer to playoffs, but then we lose and its five again, but that's playing poor we still stay relatively in touch. I agree we need a good run but with a few wins wed be right up there, only one thing left to say bye bye warnock blade fan hates leeds and him and bates want to **** leeds up. i don't know about gfh but why would bates stay other than to p**s take, old git should stay clear of football!! How can anyone say what is the point in splashing the cash now? Just cos Warnock planning on leaving at end of season. Erm......what bout getting into prem and new manager coming in and if he not impressed with playing staff, sell them for more money than they be worth in Championship. Another player gone in Rogers. Never really given a chance but more deadwood gone. Just need to get rid of about 5/6 more and sign 4/5 new players and we might have a chance of getting I the playoffs.

The only deadwood we really need to get rid of is Bates, Harvey and Warnock!

We didn't need to give him a chance couldn't even hack it at shrewsbury! Ye bates and harvey a must go for me! if we get rid of warnock who we gunna get to replace him and don't say RDM cos he won't come to us.

Lambert will if he keeps going the same way.

Has Warnock actually said that he doesn't expect any signings this week (see a few posts back)? In his "great job" interview at the weekend he said he expected to bring a couple in so it makes you wonder if he has had thr Scarborough warning from GFH. If they do get rid of Warnock then they ough to write this season off, give the new man a good chance to look at the squad and spend in the summer, just keep our best palyers for now and don't panic buy. There will be plenty that Warnock's signed that won't feature in the new manager's plans and they'll need to be offloaded before he can seriously rebuild.

Richard Naylor is doing very well with the under 18s, would sort defensive issues out.

He couldn't sort the defense out when he was part of it, doubt he can do it from the touchline

All I reading and hearing from Leeds fans are losing faith I gfh cause they haven't splashed the cash... Let's look at it why would we go spend 10 million this window than warnock leaves a new manager comes in and dosent like or rate players we buy in this window that means trying to sell rejects like we are still trying to do now from Grayson time...all I say is spend nothing stay in championship let warnock go and new manager might have 20 million to spend summer this makes sense so all Leeds fans keep the faith an let's see what happens over summer

This team would do ok in L1 but will not get us to Play offs, much better teams than us that play better football.

The team out there is Warnock's, not Grayson's. Warnock has made a point of not playing any of Grayson's signings so there is only one manager to blame for the shambles on the pitch. Given the month we are in then it would be prudent to give Warnock the rest of the season to sort it out rather than bring someone in now; he has taken teams up from this position before so we can live in hope........!

The op said players on our books, not Saturday's team... Ie pugh Connolly Rachubka Rodgers etc .... or shall I rant in capitals so you can understand ?

can't believe what warnock is saying about becchio, about him not having his head in the game and saying he should start repaying the club for what they have done for him, owing the fans a performance starting at brum, ffs this guy has been a loyal servent to the club scored vital goals for us always scores a decent amount each season has scored 17 goals this season and colin is happy to pull him down, what about the s**t hoofball football, the constant changing of the team, weak or no tactics, playing players out of postion, playing pelts instead of drury or white, just playing brown, lol, buying varney, getting rid of younger players to only be replaced with journymen that are too old or near it, becchio will always score goals if given the right service from the decent wingplay not having to stand there while the ball is getting hoofed up front with his back to goal, most matches he don't stand a chance, but has still managed to score goals in a very poor team with bad tactics, so warnock i think you better look in the mirror and ask who should be paying back the club with a perfomance and alot more besides, cos your s**t ain't working pal, WARNOCK OUT, MOT
