We come on here for the bit of banter is all, personally I watch lots of clubs sites and I post on a couple, probably post on here more than others for the simple reason that most of the time I look in there is someone having a go at grealish, to the point where a few guys here are obsessed, and at the end of the day there’s maybe 3 teams in England that he wouldn’t walk straight into the starting lineup, every team would want him in their panel, when u see other clubs sites chatting about grealish it’s usually about wanting to buy him but you guys are obsessed that he’s a cheater, last season his stats were second only to KDB, I only seen the second half of the match tonight but looks like he played great from what I seen and got huge credit from the commentators.

Nobody should be forced off any banter site. So long as you keep it, legal and non personal then anything you say however radical and however contrary is good to go. I live and breathe Leeds but if any team, or individual, plays well against us I will be the first to acknowledge it.
I do know that there are some "rednecks" on here who take disagreement too far sometimes. They can always be ignored, for they do not represent the vast majority of level headed posters and LUFC fans. It's sad to see VillaDave go but I know, as always, there will be others to take his place.
Long live our healthy forum with vigilant Eds keeping an eye on proceedings.

Grealish is an excellent footballer, his playmaking, ball retention and coverage of the pitch is outstanding, certainly would like him in our Leeds squad. Sadly for Villa I feel that he’ll probably will be at another club next season, my bet would be Man Utd.
Think Villa were a very lucky to stay in the Premiership last season, they were poor at best and had It not been for that disallowed goal against Sheffield Utd, (which was a goal) , they would have been relegated. However they have started this season well but I won’t be putting any money on them finishing above 15th this season.

Villa were indeed fortunate to stay up OP.

They have spent a lot of money in tne past 2 seasons and may have to deal with serious FFP issues that I hear about. So selling Grealish may be inevitable.

The term redneck dates back to the early 1909s a time when mine workers faced the constant threat of death from explosions, cave ins and poor working conditions.

In 1921,black white and immigrant mineworkers took up arms to battle the coal companies that controlled and exploited every aspect of their lives.

It's symbolic of solidarity.

My upmost respect for those mineworkers.

{Ed002's Note - Redneck is used as a derogatory term in the United States.}

16 Nov 2020 13:03:03
Yes Ed002 it is indeed very unjustly.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There are a huge number of similar derogatory terms.}

I agree we had a bit of luck in the Sheffield game but you make your own luck and nobody ever gets anywhere without a little bit of luck, we had some silly decisions go against us last year where we were done out of goals and valuable points, the Crystal Palace game probably the worst, I’m sure you understand after bamfords perfectly good goal ruled out last week but these things usually lvl out over the coarse of the season, we had maybe 8 games after the Sheffield game and we done just about what was needed at the end of the day, goals and results change things who’s to say Everton would of scored that last minute equaliser or would that freak West Ham goal of went in of grealish shin if we had being playing for our lives to get the win in the last game instead of a draw, yes luck came into it but inevitably we stayed up cause after the restart we tightened up our defence and improved our overall game getting some great results including a win against arsenal against the odds, we made up possibly 7 or 8 points on the teams around us the Sheffield game was only 1 point we had it all to do in the last 8 games and we got it done, furthermore I look forward to our reverse fixture and hopefully some revenge, may both our clubs have many more battles in the premier league for years to come as both clubs are huge clubs and deserve to be in the top league.

Alioski’s contract runs out in June, at 28 yrs old with Dallas and Harrison now occupying the left side it’s perhaps likely that he will leave at end of season. I personally hope he gets offered a year or 2 extension, but he might not want to stay without being 1st choice?
I’ve always liked his commitment and can play, also chips in with a few goals. I believe he’s quite a character and liked by the other players.

definitely well liked. Is he good enough to make an impact in the Prem week in week out though? With limited funds we have no room to pay wages out of sentiment.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Nov 2020 09:38:51
Agreed Alf
one would expect that Alioski needs to have a good season with some goals and assists to make being given a new contract likely.

Hopefully in the meantime the injury he has now picked up on international duty is only very minor.

Alioski has picked up a hamstring injury on international duty so he will now be seeing out part of his final year in our already packed treatment room.

It is a shame, but it has become very clear that certain posters feel there is a slight moral issue with my posting on your site.
I would have won a lot of money on betting who would object.
To a point I can see what is being said, and although I disagree somewhat, I have decided that I will leave you all in peace.
All I can say, is that its a good job all the foreign countries we visit for our holidays, or emigrate to, do not feel the same.
Best of luck to your team. VD.

Have no objections to other club fans chipping in with football banter. I think Villa Dave touched a raw nerve with some Leeds fans on this site, that infamous game is still fresh in a lot of fan’s memories. On both sides.
Perhaps commenting on other current football banter might be the way.

I see no moral issue with you posting just don't expect us to agree with your opinion.
I don't like your team or coaches but that doesn't mean you have the same moral code as they do and are welcome to post for me.

ED001 could I ask a favour? 😊 could you activate the Leeds Banter Trojan Anti virus app as our LEEDS banter site has been infected by Villa supporters ( Leeds Dave and his sidekick Whacky )

Only joshing but curious
Ed001 has any Banter poster from any club posted so frequently ( or even at all ) on an opposing clubs Banter page as LeedsDave and his side kick? I strongly doubt it. Certainly never before have we experienced this on the Leeds Banter page it has only ever been Leeds supporters posting.

Had a quick check of Wolves, Leicester, Man U, Liverpool Chelsea and no posts at all from obsessed 😀 LeedsDave and his sidekick on any of these Bantersites so they appear to only post on Leeds.

Also I wonder if any Leeds Banter posters post on other clubs Banter pages? Again I would be a tad surprised if any do.

A slight preference for LeedsBanter site to consist only of Leeds supporters but I suppose one or two opposing fans is ok but seriously if many more opposing fans started posting I do wonder if the LEEDS Banter site would start to feel less Leeds.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - you get loads of posters who go on other sites regularly. This site has been unusual in not having posts from fans of other clubs.}

15 Nov 2020 15:40:05
Hmm really Ed001 fair enough I can imagine it happens between Man U and Liverpool Banter sites I suppose.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not just that, there are Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs fans that often visit other sites. Some Chelsea ones too. It really depends on if there is anything to discuss.}

Robin Koch had an impressive display and match stats in midfield for Germany vs Ukraine yesterday.

I seem to recall Bielsa in one of his press conferences stating that Koch was an option for him/ Leeds in midfield.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 Nov 2020 12:54:45
Midfield? Does he usually play there for Germany?
What is his favoured position. Defence or midfield? Anybody know?

Aus

Koch had always previously played in central defence for Germany, first time the German manager Louw played him in midfield ;

Koch apparently played well from reports and stats and from watching him in the highlights I can tell you he played a good pass in creating the 3rd goal.

15 Nov 2020 14:20:53
From what I have seen he can certainly play a Defensive Midfield role. Strong in the tackle and good passer of the ball.

All cheating and diving as to stop and for me it's down to ref leave them on floor me as for grealish in World Cup final my arse Dave hope iam wrong you never know but ask the Argies that little cheat Shilton and I've always said should haved dead leg him in stead of going up with eyes closed MOT roll on sun.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Nov 2020 14:31:57
Now that is something that VAR can look at. Maybe instigate another colour card that x number adds up to a red. Showing any persistent divers will be punished. If the referee sees but is not sure he can put them on report however I feel that any offences missed by the ref should also be dealt with. The only caveat I have with this is that it should be, certainly, Europe wide (even world wide)
I am sure that there must be other fans as equally fed up with the consistent divers in the game. What I do not want however is an unlevel playing field when we come up against Johnny Foreigner in Cup Games and Internationals.
