Watching the press conference ahead of Saturday I can't help sensing that Monk was displaying serious nerves. This of course was not helped by some probing questions with regard his future. His answers were just repetitive jibber. Let's hope this isn't transposed to the training ground or dressing room. Sometimes I think that the board room should sit up front and deal with press and let the coach get on with coaching, especially given all the bad press, what ever happened to looking after your people? Roll on Saturday MOT.

Good point Pea, the CEO rather than MC could do a good job in helping GM and front up the press sometimes cause in Leeds world that is sometimes needed, the club should be more positive with the press and put some positives out there rather than just let negative often untrue stories get legs.

It's another must win game for him. I believe he's for the chop otherwise.

I agree George. Maybe if it weren't against a side struggling it might be different, but if we can't beat a poor Cardiff team, it could the last straw for Monkey Man. No doubt Cardiff will raise their game for their cup final and their attendance will be their highest of the season, which will give the local sheep population a bit of respite for the day, but that's no excuse for us. We should be beating Cardiff and I think we will. There's a lot of added pressure to take the game to teams playing at home and we are expected to win. We've got the pace in the team with Sacko to hit teams on the break and I could see us turning them over with another 2-0 successful road trip.
Happy Friday dudes. UTW, DTP!

Agree MM, no reason why we can't win if we play like we did at Wendies or even like 2nd half against Blackburn just need to use right formation, GM could well be for it if we lose for sure.
On the other hand IF we win Saturday and then beat Blackburn in cup, which even if he changes half the team we should do then GM's record in competitive games this season would be Played 11 WON 6 a win rate of close to 55% (Fergie territory) then surely GM safe from mad MC axe/ Press storries for at least, oh I don't know 2 games!
Makes you think what a fine line it is, win on Saturday/ Blackburn and he has a 55% win rate, lose on Saturday out of a job.

Good point dj.

Agree DJ. Everyone especially the press are all over us but a couple of wins and we are promotion material. I tried making this point before the season started that no doubt we were doomed after every defeat and world beaters after every win. It's a long old season and this year we will definitely improve as the season goes on. Money man should be given a chance to achieve something with his own team imo. Keep down for those pints. In going for 0-3 not 0-2. I think those sheep lovers will be worn out after chasing flossy all week in the sunshine.
