Sorry to play devil's advocate & be negative but what if announcements are to say a possible suitor has been given exclusivity period, effectively meaning little or no money will be spent in Jan transfer window.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That is the exact situation we are in now!

Agree0 Disagree0

I was of the understanding that the exclusivity period was for a consortium lead by David Haigh.

Which would suggest that they intentionally have done it now to enable to complete by January.

Lets also not forget that January is 31 Days long and BMD probably already knows his targets. Also I am not sure, but the Championship can still loan past that date. So what's the problem.

I am not here to spread rumours about who we may or may not be looking to sign or who is or isn't going to be taking over our fantastic club.

What I would like to say is well done to everyone involved with our fantastic club, this season has already been the best I can remember in a very long time and I honestly believe that we are going to get rewards this season for all the previous seasons of let down and disappointment.

1, We have a fantastic manager who knows how to get teams out of this division

2, We have a great bunch of players who are prepared to give there all for our club

3, We have a formation that seems to suit the full squad which shows when players get called upon to fill gaps due to injuries/suspensions

4, We have terrific support both home and away

5, We have owners who work constantly to improve us in all areas both on the pitch and off it.

6, We have a fantastic youth set up and a good bunch of young players biting at the bit trying to get some game time for the first team

everything looks good for a promotion push this season and I wouldn't be the only one who would say we as a club deserve to be higher up than we are now.

Keep up the good work LUFC and we will continue to "march on together"

Leeds, Leeds, Leeeds!

Good on ya mate.

Sorry mate but, as I was reading through this, I kept on waiting for the 'but' which, thankfully, didn't arrive. I think you are spot on apart from point number 5 which has yet to be proven. MOT

If Leeds United go with Red Bull, then new first team kit will be white shirt and shorts and all red socks as Leeds used in 1970 cup final. E. Road will be bought and renamed Red Bull Stadium.

I quite like that look.

Ever since I heard it was Haigh leading consortium. Been 100% certain RedBull will sponsor us and/or the ground. I have no inside info but it obvious to me. His tweets and contacts with them plus he at Salzburg now! Says it all, It ain't RB who taking over though it English consortium, backed with cash from a sheik or oil tycoon not AustrianRB money. Time will tell i'm convinced that's what will happen. TOMSKI.LUFC

Red Bull will not be sponsoring Leeds until 2017-18 at the earliest. Enterprise have signed contracts up to 2016-17 (unless Red Bull buy Enterprise off). My guess is that Red Bull will have no part in the forthcoming takeover. That's not to say that they won't get involved further down the line.
There would be little benefit Red Bull buying Elland Rd, all that would mean is that LUFC had new landlords to pay rent to each season.

If Red Bull sponsor ground for say 50m for 5yr deal. Then we take 12m from the 50m, buy back ER. We our own landlords then, saving 2m a year in rent. that's whay it would make sense. The rest of money on improving TA, players/squad and even the stadium. Watch this space? Tomski.LUFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Tomski.

Why on earth would Red Bull give us the money to buy the stadium from them? That makes zero business sense. They either buy the club (including the staium & TA) or sponsor us in some way. Shirt sponsors are Enterprise until 2016-17, so stadium sponsor may be an option but it will not be anything like the £10m a year you quote. It's complex, so let's leave it to those who do this sort of thing for a living shall we!

QPR & Forest aside I don't see any other club in this division with huge depth of quality in their SQUADS.

I think if we have investment this January, which is looking likely, and we can build our squad then we will be a force to reckon with for the remainder of the season.

There is no doubt in my mind that like us, the clubs around us will pick up injuries and suspensions throughout the latter stages of the season, and this is where having a big squad comes in to play, obviously not just making it up of any old players like in the past, we can finally bring in the quality needed to sustain a promotion push even if injuries/suspensions occur.

As to who we bring in, well I guess B'MAC will have his own plans.

we now seem to be learning how to grind out results when not at our best (great sign). apparently brian's got his eye on 2 for January & confidence is on the up. if we have a decent xmas period (no reason why not) then we're in a fantastic position to really go for it. don't want to tempt fate guys but I can feel something's really beginning to happen! come on boys MOT degsy leyland
