Snap him up now. Β£3 m could turn out to be a bargain. πŸ€žπŸ‘βš½οΈβš½οΈ.

OMG, 3 mill now what could that equate to come August, as Derek Trotter always told us, he who dares,

16 Jan 2020 22:26:45
Not going to get any forward in and going to get spanked by QPR.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2020 00:32:21
Love to see Bowen in the white shirt but can not see it happening. If we had gone for him in the summer like i told them to we may have had a chance. Clubs not going to loan players like Bowen out at this stage. Might agree to sell him but we will not put money like that up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 20:19:54
IMHO; I don’t see us bringing in a striker this transfer window; we were too late last year and it looks like we are going to be too late this year.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

16 Jan 2020 20:43:56
Probably . but still hoping Leeds, Radz, Orta surprise with a marquee striker signing

In the meantime Edmondson must get a place on the bench against QPR.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 20:44:01
We HAVE to bring someone in Essex, it would make a laughing stock of us not to have another striker option on bench match day, who it is will be the burning question.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 22:18:03
Baz - as per a post earlier this week, I have been led to understand that Edmondson may need to sort out his attitude to Bub's expectations that his players lead a healthy lifestyle before he gets a place on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 22:42:24
Bub was clear in his presser, that Ryan is not hitting the mark, in some way, but also said that he is still young.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 23:47:24
Clu . yeah I read that, but there are also now direct quotes from Bielsa today that he may have been wrong not to pick Edmondson

. so it's looking like Edmondson may get some first team bench action.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2020 07:53:18
Might not have much choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2020 08:43:26
Baz - maybe Edmondson is finally taking note of Bub's requirements and therefore coming into consideration. If so it's not like Bub's going to say he's not picked him before 'cos he was understood still to be occasionally hanging round with his old mates Benson and Hedges etc.

As I'm from hull and all my mates rave about him and never shut up about how good he is and how Man City are going to fork out 50 million for him one day, I want Bowen more than anyone. 3 million loan fee is an awful lot considering we have 19 games left and he can't play 1 of them (against hull) . Almost Β£200,000 per game. Now if he scores 10 goals between now and the end of the season it's worth it. The obligation to buy should only be if we go up IMO. But if we do I think you can slap another Β£15 mil on top of it.

On another note woy at palace stating he'd let benteke go this window for Β£500,000 loan fee. There's a lethal goal scorer in there, more so than Tammy Abraham was, just hasn't worked out for him since he left villa, that may be the cheaper option, but it's a question of wages and would the player drop down a level to refind his form?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

16 Jan 2020 19:24:33
will benteke make belia team. is he wha belisa wants?

also have it from a good source at top of palace that they would let him go if someone covered most of his wages to free up there bill. that is a lot of money though and is he past his best?

could be leathal but not in a belisa team.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 19:38:46
No need for Bowen buy to be conditional on promotion.
He would be worth 15 mill if under contract.
People only holding back trying to get him on cheap IMO as his contract is running down.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 20:20:03
Bowen would be a great signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 20:46:00
Benteke would also be fantastic, and he's not over the hill yet, big strong + fantastic In the air

Something We haven't seen since Chapo.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 23:45:37
Bowen’s contract not as close to running out as it could be. Half a year left with an option to trigger for another year so a year and a half if Hull want to hang on to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2020 07:50:56
Benteke will get you goals, the same way mitrovic will get you goals. The benteke option seems more logical to me but you make a good point about would he fit a bielsa system. Time is running out at the way he spoke yesterday, only the players we have fit a bielsa system and whoever it is will need to get up to speed.

Under George's VAR inspired type rules, it means we should already technically be in the PL. Means that Derby and Villa combined also owe us Β£177m for wrongful and illegitimate prevention. Derby for FFP cheating and Villa for being obnoxious who should've played to whistle and we did nothing wrong. Get Bowen in now!

Of course, we did actually have a backup striker on the bench for the Wendies match. Only problem being that it was the physios bench - again!

This is for those who attend ER regularly.
How many of you have ever worked with/ listened to or read about sports psychology?
I had little knowledge of anything to do with it until my youngest was competing at a very high level (it made a huge difference to his performance level, he ranked 6th in Canada and beat an Olympian at 16!) .

I'm certainly no expert but please do a quick google on 'sports psychology negativity from supporters' and see if any of it resonates.
Wondering what the ER atmosphere is like and whether any of you believe our negativity (fans) could be affecting the performance of the team. How does it compare with away games?

I believe Brits in general are negative and us Yorkies are even worse than average so just wondering if we are part to blame!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

16 Jan 2020 15:27:30
I’ve only been 3 times but are the supposed beat fans in the land now why our team can let in goals and not score?
Easy. Nobody go.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 15:33:04
I think psychology has a huge part to play and ER is not a place for the faint hearted to play. that is sometimes why certain players fail when they come to Leeds and others flourish.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 15:36:53
Canada, This is a very important and relevant philosophy in sports. The negativity of anticipated bad luck and failure actually helps to create them because it contributes to us not putting our best foot forward. It blocks the flow of positive energy and directs the Law of Attraction to attract negative consequences rather than positive outcomes.
From fans to players to management absolutely 100% it has an effect.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 16:10:51
Aus, luck can cause the initial issue (or simply a mistake or off day) which can affect us as fans and we can then further make things worse by showing our frustration and nervousness.
That's why strikers who are on a roll often continue, confidence. Similarly slumps can go on too long.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 18:10:06
firstly canada well done to your boy that is a real achievement and well impressed!

i posted something a while back the crowd definatly can affect in any sport (and in my industry as well) but it is not just the neigitive i think the positive is just as bad

leeds are going up. top of the league. all puts pressure on the players

i mentioned before wall v brighton, gulls were wining and singing going down. wall sung so are we. the wall players lifted it was like the pressure went. wall won the game and went on a run and stayed up

id like to hear a lot leeds leeds going up and more marhcing on togheter (which must lift the players) and even maybe more leeds falling apart again as it might ease pressure

on another note. cry your eyes frank lampard defiantly lifted derby. he who laughs last and all that.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2020 19:07:04
I think each player will react differently.
I always do well under pressure, some dont.
We all feel pressure for different reasons.
Dont have answers just generally think positive is better.
For example next time Bamford misses a sitter why not sing:-

'The next one's going in,
Next one, next one's going in'.

Would show belief (even if we doubt! ) And hopefully help confidence.
