I live in North Carolina and have been a Leeds United supporter since 1969. This season has to have been one of the worse and most frustrating season I can remember. I went to one game when visiting the UK (Birmingham at home) and could not believe how dead Elland Road had become. The team on the field was awful except for Bryam and Lees. The rest just looked like journeymen looking for a paycheck. I really feel sorry for the fans who pay they hard earned money every week to follow their team. At no point this season did I think Leeds would achieve a playoff spot and it looks likely I was right. Whatever excuse one can think of, Bates, Warnock, new owners they are all to be held to account for what has happened this season. If I still lived in the UK I would stop going to the games. My daughter and I were season ticket holders for several season when we went home feeling we had been entertained. Warnock should do the right thing now and step down. Who looks after the club for the rest of the season is a good question. I haven't got a clue. Nigel Adkins is my choice but there will not be the money to sign him. Maybe the Bradford City manager? Pulling down the curtain for this season. All the best to the supporters.

Believable12 Unbelievable0

I too went to the Hfield game today after a long absence from Elland rd. I must admit I was shocked at the atmosphere or lack of despite 23000 fans. When Paddy Kennys name was announced I cheered but there were hardly any cheers. When I use to attend regularly many moons ago we cheered every player as he was announced. I think that set the stall and on many occasions the Udders fans were louder. And before you say I use to attend when we were in the 2nd tier of football so it wasnt like we were a top team but the fans never stopped singing. I know times have been horrific for the regular fan over the the last few years but what happened to singing for 90 mins - sing your hearts out - or is it everywhere and times have just changed? I must admit when I have seen the leeds fans AWAY on tv they seemed to sing a lot more. Why? Today was very disappointing in lots of ways!

Agree5 Disagree0

Take your point mate. But it's hard to work up any atmosphere and enthusiasm when your watching such dross on the field. I've been supporting since 1957 I'm not going to stop until I snuff it but honestly it's getting harder. JD

Just read Warnock's interview on The Yorkshire Evening Post. In all my years of watching football and not just Leeds I have never seen a man so deluded in all my life.

He needs to be signed into a home with immediate effect the man has talked absolute rubbish throughout his whole career but these comments about him and his staff doing a fantastic job for us are just out of this world.

It even tops the whiskey nose's comments about Ashley Williams nearly killing Van Persie and that's some achievement.

Warnock for once in your life do the honorable thing.

Believable18 Unbelievable1

There were Leeds fans on this site only last week, after the dross this man has given us this season, saying he should stay for next season? Really cannot understand people who wish their own opinion to be right so much that they would put that before what's best for the club. Get him out now, if we cannot bring in adkins now get the youth coach to play poleon, Dawson etc

ed? whos your choice to take over as manager I fancy either di canio but won't go up for couple of years but would be exciting or Mcdermott nickybee {Ed013's Note - Poyet or Martinez if possible for me}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Good shout ed nt sure if martinez would come but hey! {Ed013's Note - Maybe if Wigan go down, but after Liverpool wanted him I imagine he is set for a top job. Oh yeah, Leeds is a top job!}

Agree3 Disagree1

16 Mar 2013 20:55:46
I must admit although Adkins has been in my mind for a while, I have a sneaky feeling Poyet would be a better long term bet providing he does not run off to London again or anywhere else for that matter.

Agree2 Disagree0

Martinez would never drop down a division and would be more likely to join a better premier league whether Wigan stay up or not. Realistically I would go for Brian McDermott he turned around reading, they were sitting in 19th spot and relegation was looming, he joined and got them up to 9th in the same season, the season after he got them to the playoff final only to lose to Swansea and then he won the league. Enough said really his lowest league position is 9th which is something that will probably be out of our reach this season. It may be hard to believe but he was under much worse financial constraints than us, last season he had 300,000 pounds to spend even though they sold a player for 6 million, the season before that when they got playoffs, £0 pound was spent and he led them to playoffs. This is our man to get us up, he created 2 superstars in 2 years generating 12 million pounds for reading only to be given 300k over 2 years neil has had it easy in terms of finances compared to him. Warnock out McDermott in

Can't win at home v lowly teams, negative goal difference, clueless manager. but still people say we can go up! We will be staying where we are. WE DO NOT DESERVE TO GO UP!! Mathematically speaking we could win the PL next season and the CL the next five seasons. when will you eternal optimists believe that us eternal realists know what we're talking about? IT'S NOT going to HAPPEN!

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Could nt agree more!

16 Mar 2013 19:37:48
"They've got to look after themselves really. We've spoken about my successor, about people coming in if mathematically it's impossible to get into the play-offs. "

Now **** off warnock I have had enough of your total and utter rubbish! And for ****s sake don't let him or Bates have a say in anything further!!

Believable8 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2013 20:32:18
I say give it to Bam Bam for rest of season, I know he don't want it full time but at least we know where his heart is and I for one could relate to him a lot better.

Agree1 Disagree1

No point giving a job to someone who doesn't want it. How does that help us plan for the future?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Mar 2013 11:26:27
I see your point but for me we need something to keep the interest for the next 8 games, new idea's and something to shout about. Naylor could do this while giving GFH more breathing space to find the right long term appointment. You might say Warnock may as well stay a bit longer but does anybody really want this? do GFH really want this? another 8 games of this dross is only going to further harm the take up of season tickets for 2013/2014. Only my opinion but I would much rather have 8 games with Naylor than Warnock, which ever way you look both would be short term but would Brighton be prepared to let Gus go now? is Adkins ready now?

I think there's only one thing going through all our minds today?

f**k off warnock?

Drawing at home to Peterborough was something, losing today is totally unacceptable,,,,,,,,,,

So that's that for this season. What I can't forgive is the total lack of ambition by the owners. This season at least a play of place was there for the taking. Look how close we where. Even with our awful form. Yet no ambition shown in transfer or loan windows. The players we needed where available. At no great cost. Poor show gfh. I say. let's hope they get there fingers out next season. Don't hold much hope out though. The players we could afford and needed have been snapped up now. remember the old saying gfh? Speculate to accumulate.

Who was the guy on here quoting 'facts' based on the league positions and points?

Where are your predictions now then?

Losing 3-1 at home to Huddersfield proves that we are nowhere near good enough for the premiership

FACT!

Believable2 Unbelievable4

16 Mar 2013 20:43:53
It would if we had actually lost 3-1! don't you think the FACT that we lost 2-1 is bad enough without adding another one on the end? {Ed013's Note - I must have missed the 3rd goal like I missed the error in the OPs post!}

You obviously weren't there it was 2 1

It was 2-1 not 3-1.

I never thought the day would come when anyone like Huddersfield could come to Elland Road and turn us over, let alone by 3 goals.

Unless Bates and Warnock are gone by the end of this season I will not make the effort to get back to Elland Road again

I have supported Leeds for forty years, and I live over 100 miles from Elland Road but I am not prepared to keep making the effort whilst the management keep faith in Warnock.

What a shocking performance. No idea no game plan no pace. We must be the slowest team in the leauge? I've tried to stay with wornock the last few weeks and really get behind the lads cause whoever pulls the mighty white shirt on I always give my support BUT 3 quatres of are squad are not good enough. We need a serious clear out. And serious summer investment 10/ 20 million. Wornock must go and go NOW. Mot next season.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2013 18:39:07
What did Warnock say to Nigel Clough last year? Wasnt it something like "remember this Nigel because you'll not see one of my teams play this badly again"? Funny i've seen us play that badly about 30 times this season. JD

dundee white here stuck on a1, well i"ve been positive for weeks now, looking on the brightside of things but as I said b4 the game 2day no more slip-ups, but leeds been who leeds are that's just what they go and do, credit to the men at the top for next seasons ticket price, now show some more balls thank neil 4 the hard work done so far give the man his retirement package, and let's be first in line for that top manager who"s out of work now or soon will be, please don"t have us looking come july. get the right man in b4 some other team pips us at the post like every other season, I know we can still do it this season but let's be fair its a massive long shot best to start looking for next season now, AFTER 40 YEAR OF FOLLOWING THE WHITE I think I know when its time 4 a change

Am I missing something, but surely the fans deserve more of an input into our next manager than Warnock, as it is the fans who are going to be around long after Warnock has gone, so gfh listen to the fans not warnock.

Warnock on Radio now, said the team is in a good position to go forward next season, and set up for someone else to give it a really good go, Can't say I agree, at least 4/5 quality signings needed for next season.

Why, when we can't score and NW knew Ross and Morison were injured, did we not recall Poleon. Must have been a good option.

Kath

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Because he would rather help the blunts than help Leeds, he has no love for Leeds never has and never will.

Agree6 Disagree1

Poleon has to be one of our most promising yougsters, Lees and Byram have 'stepped up' and we have more, like the ''Turners' too. We need someone who realises we have home grown talent coming through, rather than wanock wh is trying to give older player their payday.

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Mar 2013 15:01:26
Thank god we signed habi. We could of ended up with woods, jenas, burke, beckford and other suchlike. Proper luck!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2013 14:53:35
Due to early kick off couldn't make today, went to Leceister away and Peterborough at home and they where both frustrating games, a manager is judged by his signings and results and that speaks for itself, I expected 6 points this week and that is a let down, apart from the Spurs game I haven't really enjoyed or seen a decent performance all season, Saving my money now for the start of next season unless Warnock has gone and the youth get a chance to play the season out because I'm fed up with watching Kenny hoof the ball up the pitch every match for the last 20mins when we have run out of ideas.

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Why dosent he just walk?
It would be great to see the youngsters get valuable experience when we have nothing to gain or lose.
So what if the youngsters lose 4 or 5, can't do any worse.
We don't expect them to win just learn and grow!

Finally looks like even the most optimistic/dreamers of fans have admitted Warnock has been clueless since he's joined us.

We have gone backwards in every single way as a team since he's been in charge in all fairness we have now 2 wins in the last 11 matches and yet still he and a lot of fans were claiming we were on a good run

Seriously 2 wins in 11 and that's a good run how on earth can anyone defend that unless your a team who was expected to be relegated at the beginning of the season.

Time to go Warnock you've made a show of us for long enough and bring the majority of the rubbish you brought with you.

Believable15 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2013 14:49:01
Its 11pm in aus. If I wake up and he hasn't resigned or been sacked I will be amazed. Surely warnock or owners have some pride. Neither obviously give a **** for leeds or fans.
I don't like being personal but I despise the bloke. No talent. No pride. A real dinosaur. Go go go now. i'd rather my mum take control and she has never watched a game of football in her life!

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Unfortunately it isn't going to happen, and we are STILL going to get people on here saying we need to give Warnock more time,,, blah blah blah.

Warnock is his own person, I have neevr seen any Leeds manager get so much press coveragwe as he does.

Timw to go Warnock, I still cannot believe you let Dominic Poleon go out on lone when he could have done a job for us!

If you are still in charge next week then I won't even be watching our results any more - no point.

I was just wondering if this season was the worst squad and type of football for 30 years I've watched.
Prob the relegation to div 1 was worse but that's it. when we went down from prem it was still good football for money. yes we lost but we were playing cream of prem.
When we were in div 1 we had better performances and fight and had beckford and gradel. only byram would I def want to keep now.
It's the type of football we play which is worse with little fight from the players. the loan signings have been a waste of time and gfh done nothing to make us feel any better really.
We are prob higher than we deserve. I mean today it's one win in six and some are still slating fans when we say play offs are long gone. I mean Huddersfield for goodness sake. shrew leeds

Er, ok, 3 more points dropped. Soon to be 8 behind, 24 to play for! not mathematically impossible but realistically its goodnight! can't wait for the excuses, does Warnock need a taxi? he could use his bus pass or maybe a passing dinosaur will give him a lift!

Believable8 Unbelievable0

16 Mar 2013 14:32:33
NW's well past it and has pretty much bought rubbish, playeed the wrong teams and has ignored what many of us fans have been saying for months. Snodgrass, Becchio and Howson are sorely missed. Let's hope the owners make a move now and also change their mind about having Bates around for life in whatever honorary capacity because he's brought no honour to my club!

Another late goal conceeded. Again failed to score in the 1st half. Failed to keep a clean sheet, yet again. Enforced changes to the team were all players that Warnock has brought in. So despite all the nonsense about " if I had this team from the start of the season we would have been promoted" & we should be 12 points off and in the playoffs" we are Simply not good enough. Lack of quality, cohesion and pace. I really wanted NW to do well. It's a shame but he hasn't improved Leeds United. If I'm honest I think he has taken us backwards. At least under SG we played better football on top of not being able to defend! I don't know if its better if he goes now or sees us through to the end of the season.

Believable14 Unbelievable0

Agree8 Disagree1

Surely its time for NW to walk and give the new manager this season to assess what we have and don't have and plan for next season, we have no chance of play offs now so time to go.

Agree8 Disagree0

Today just sums up our season. Dissapointing, poor and really inevitable. We all sort of had it in our minds that we had no chance and now it is guaranteed. I was very optimistic due to our fixture list but 1 point from 2 games at home against teams that were getting relegated until they played us and gained points is just terrible. At least we know now a new manager, new squad and new atmosphere will be at elland road next season

Probably not going to be a popular one, but I agree with leaving Dawson out of the team until next season. Byram has come through and been fantastic but he'll be leaving in the summer (let's face it, he will be leaving). If we bring Dawson in now, and he has a great run in the team like Byram, then he'll be noticed too and also be bought by a prem team in the summer. Leave the lad out for now and bring him in next season. We'll have lost Byram but we'll still have one future star in the team.

I await the backlash.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

16 Mar 2013 05:41:11
I don't think gfh will dare sell byram in the summer unless a really big offer comes in like 8 mil. I think they will of found some investment by the summer so I have hope about getting some new signings.

Agree2 Disagree2

Here it comes then.
So your suggestion implies that our beloved team doesn't use any players that Might improve the team in case it alerts other teams to how good they are! Tell me then, WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING A TALENTED YOUTH SYSTEM?? We should play whoever it takes to win the points, regardless of the consequences. If We had adopted that attitude with Byram, kept him locked away like the crown jewels, we'd be in the bottom 3. If our top players attract other clubs, especially the incestual ones, its up to the board to do their job and fight them off. If We don't play our talent for fear of losing them We end up with a side full of rubbish players that no one else wants. And We nearly have. I'd love to see some more academy players in the side. I reckon Poleon should be in, especially today when We r struggling with injuries and if Dawson is good enough, get him in too. Could they b any worse than the plodders We have in now?
_G63

Agree3 Disagree0

I think the poster is referring to this season. We ain't going up this year so why risk giving premier league teams a look at our goods until we need too. byram may go and maybe should if we can get big money to reinvest

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster on here, it takes money to fight off other clubs. There's no other weapon in football to cure threats and problems other than money. We don't have it! Byram will probably be sold in the summer.
