Am I missing something, but why was Roofe nominated for POTY but not Jansson? You can't tell me Roofe's had a better season. Roofe's got the same number of goals as Lasogga and played more games and we're constantly told how rubbish Lasogga is.

I don't think his rubbish SG, I personally believe he either is not fit enough or not committed enough, which may explain why his with us on-loan. This year has been a real dire year regarding loans, when you look at other sides the loan stars are so often making an impact . As for Roofe he can also blow hot and cold, saying that we could say that about a good number of our players . PH not my bag but I'm very much in the not changing the coach every 10 mins camp . I would let him stay change the squad etc and see how we start next season.

Id say roofe had as good a season as pont. Tbh. Only bfk and forshaw can hold their head up as being comitted every game and they haven't played enough. The rest for one reason or another have either been trash or lazily inconsistent.

I am not a big fan of Ortas but i do not think he should be taking all the flak for our transfer policy. Pretty sure he will be acting under instruction and have a financial budget to follow. Pretty sure if Radz said heres 15mill i want a striker, df and speedy winger he would find better than he has been doing.

Don't know if it was Orta but who the hell looked at Wiedwald and said, We need this man. He is much better than Green. On what planet does this scout normally live? My guess is that whilst playing in Germany the man couldn't command his area or come for crosses so why throw money at him? Which only leaves Lonners as a backup to BPF next year Which brings me round to the point of this post. Seemingly we are interested in a new GK and all are "names" Surely we now have a "name" (quite a long one actually) who has proved his credentials by being our MOTM more than once. Surely we should be looking for a number 2 (Lonergan) in only case BPF gets injured. It even seems as tho we have another little gem in Miazek on the production line when we need him.

Leodis 500 grand will not get you a good keeper. Agree we have a keeper now in BPF so do we need a back up, we have 2 decent ones in U23s so why waste money.

Keep reading and hearing people say. Sack heckingbottom now. Get a new manager in that can pick his team before next season. that's never going to happen. Whoever manages leeds will be given players for the team. He will have no say in the team. Therefore orta should go before the manager cause he has mainly picked dross. Heck should have done better with team but ortas fault first and foremost. And under radz this system will not change so any manager will have to get used to it.

If Orta has been tasked with signing players for less than £3m and less than £15k a week, what's he supposed to do? Anyway aren't Middlesbrough's better players signed by him? Traore is their best player and he also managed to temp Negredo and Fischer. He's an easy target. The complaint should be at Radz to show more ambition.

Radz has no football brain. Orta can't spot a decent player ( anybody can get lucky once or twice out of 50 ) , Heck can't manage and the players can't play football. We are doomed. The buck stops at the top.

Remember all those calling for Heckys head. The facts are; started Feb so not a full season in charge. Took on an already stalling team. Has not had any input thro a full transfer window and finally, under the present "Continental" system there are many managers who would walk away without full control. Sorry, and lastly I would caution to all those a mixed metaphor, be careful what you wish for, because the grass is not always greener.

I think the team had more than stalled Leo, it was already in free fall. But I agree, an old school "manager" would not want to work under this set up, which is why we have a coach. I also don't think that this structure will be dropped, and therefore nor will PH be dropped. We need some damned stability for a time!

SG, didn't say we can't get a better manager but did say it was slightly unfair to judge Hecky at this stage. I did also say that many (better? ) managers would walk away from the "Continental" system which makes finding a better manager that much more difficult. This is one reason where I doubt the viability of Mick McCarthy. If nothing else he is a blunt Yorkshire man and highly opinionated. Maybe a good thing for an underperforming team but maybe a bit too abrasive for a Victor Orta type.

I don't get why people want McCarthy so much. If the ambition is dull football and mid table finishes, then yes by all means, but I thought the club wanted promotion and good football.

Nobody will have a say in who they want. So no need to give heck more time. He will never have a say. To be clear. i'm not sure whether i'd sack him now or not. This season has been doomed since way before he got here but he certainly hasn't improved it.

Nothing against Toby but probably should be given his own prize. We may not think that the team has performed exemplary but over the year we must think that one has been better than the others. Maybe not quite in the Maradona league but he just has to be the best of a bad bunch.
