Talk has gone quiet on an shirt deal with fruity king has any1 heard anything about it? And are we sticking with macron or going else where?

I would imagine all heavyweight commercial transactions have gone quiet with Cellino's enforced absence. Even agents of our own players refuse to negotiate extensions of contracts until his return.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was supposed to be fruity kings and a new manufacturer, likely to be kappa or adidas. As above said, with Cellino out atm, deals may be put on hold. Macron is out of contract next year I believe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Slightly different point, but don't think adidas has ever made our shirt. Don't remember 3 stripes on the sleeves at any time. Anyone confirm this?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't hold out much hope of any deal with that Fruity King mob, they were linked with sponsoring a bunch of teams and leagues but I reckon it was all just publicity stunts.}

So if boro have a midweek game & we haven't then by rights our lads should be fresher & more up for sat. Well let's hope so & that we put on a good commanding performance in so everyone can see that we aren't such a pushover. Come on boys let's show them we've turned a corner. Mot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe if boro played sat morning and weren't allowed any food or drink in between we could get 3 points.
seriously. I'm happy with a point. 0-0!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree a point would be a good against one of the best sides in the division. This would show we are making progress.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will get a draw

Posted as a reply but quite low down, just wondering if anyone else thinks he pressure of cellino not hanging over the squad/coach is beneficial? I work with people who I feel pressure of constantly and when that isn't the case perform much better so just a though, or me venting my frustrations aha

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Interesting Harte. Bit of a coincidence eh?

There's something in this Harte. Hopefully Cellino will have noticed this and act accordingly upon his return.

Birmingham FC owners in receivership
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-31504347

I find the hypocrisy from the Football League disgraceful with regards to the situation at Birmingham. Why is Shaun Harvey not rattling his sabre towards this owner? Fit and proper person my backside

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think you will find that the treatment of leeds will be used as a benchmark for all clubs who end up in receivership. the punishment for Birmingham city will likely be automatic qualification for the Champions League Knockout stages, and their owner succeeding Blatter as the head of FIFA.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Feb 2015 12:53:27
Notts, surprised? There are no common letters between Birmingham and Leeds. Anything that reminds the FL of Leeds gets the treatment and since there are no clubs like us. Harvey was bad news from the beginning just like I told everyone on this site. The best way to get him out of our hair (we have hair Shaun) is promotion.

Agree0 Disagree0

The football league will probaly say they were Leeds fans in Paris last night and deduct us 10 points

Not sure if it's true, but I've heard Wayne Rooney has hired Tom Daley as his diving coach

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No, Daley has hired Rooney as he is the better diver.

I constantly hear that Adryan is too much of a 'luxury player' for this division, yet if you look at the top teams they all have one, except Ipswich. Ritchie - Bournemouth, Ince/Hughes - Derby, Tomlin - Boro, Abdi - Watford etc. The clubs in lower mid-table don't have anything like that and bringing on Adryan for 30 mins can help us to pull further away when we play against these opponents, who mostly get their points through grit. We also need something to break through defences, what we lacked against Brentford. Even Brighton have Texeiria, who was excellent against us and key in their battle to fight the drop. I feel we are too 'scared' to have flair in the team. See Sloth being dropped for Austin for example. We're 8 points clear of Millwall now, surely it would be time to see a bit of flair in the team? I can't see us breaking Middlesbrough's defence with the likes of Austin and Morison, though hopefully they prove me wrong.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - was Teixeira good against you then? What position did he play etc?}

Hi Ed I see quite a few Brighton games living in the South, initially Texeira really struggled, (was getting bullied too easily) but now I would say with Ince in midfield and Dunk at the back is one of the best players Brighton have. Certainly the most creative Brighton have, watched him rip Ipswich apart recently and am fearful of him having a good game against us on the 24th. Brighton are much improved under Hughton but have very little up front hence Dunk at centre half being one of their highest scorers. Think we are definitely get something from the game though 3-1 Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, I haven't been able to keep up with his progress since Hyypia left and just wondered if he would fit in under Hughton. In the reserves he looked a class above the other players most weeks.}

morison last goals two against palace march 2013 gone 745 mins without a goal so let's all hope his two years is up .he did score at wembley stevenage v kiddermister i was there . first cup final at new wembley stevenage 2-0 down at half time won 3-2 . he scored .as he got a video of game if so he should watch it might jog his memory ball between two white sticks and under top one

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It will be another 1000 years until Morison scores and it won't be playing football in this division.
Smith would have scored at least 6 by now.

He has a video of the game! Unfortunately he can't put the tape in the slot! He keeps missing!

Agree0 Disagree0

Very good :)
Where can I get one? Is it vhs or betamax?

Agree0 Disagree0

Must be coming up to a record. A coach playing a lone striker that hasn't scored for 7? Games?
Sends a good message to our other strikers. Basically saying how crap they are.

Brendan Ormsby benefit match looks like it could be a cracking day out. Leeds United XI v Shezza XI. Players from an era when shell suits and mullets were all the rage! Yours truly will feel right at home!

I know I'm going to get shot down for this but due to Murphys current form & Mowatt looking like he's coming back into some, does anyone think it might a good time to give Lewis Cook a short rest?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When will the BBC stop their love in with that team. First goal interference. Second goal climes all over the defender. Third a blatent dive.Yet, the pundits think every goal was legitamate. It's also a massive insult to everyone who supports, Leeds,Sheffield,Newcastle,West Ham and every other United,when they are reffered to as United. Every time they play we should ALL text the BBC or SKY demanding they stop this.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are LEEDS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cook is now suspended for a game. He'll be straight back in, even if his replacement scores

Cook needs a rest at some point. He's started every one of Redfearn's games, except Sunderland, and plays 90 mins for the vast majority. What will annoy me, is Redders will pull him out of England duty again, claiming he needs a rest, yet he expects him to play 90 mins every game. It'd be nice to see Phillips get a chance too, but he won't with both Cook and Mowatt in midfield.
