Simon Grayson spotted in Subway in York of all places, with Jerzy Dudek. They were getting on really really well. Grayson was dressed in his training kit and Football boots. For some reason Dudek was in his Real Madrid kit and wearing keeper gloves. They were sharing a foot long Meatball Mariana. It was really weird. It must be to do with a potential transfer. Dudek is a bit old though. {Ed045's Note - I like meatball marinara's...

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Later SG and Dudek seen in the big Park in York. They both had dried Southwest sauce all over their faces. They had jumpers for goal posts and SG was taking shots at Dudek in net.It must have been dinner to discuss the deal followed by a medical/ trial. Hope the deal happens. {Ed032's Note - apparently dudek dropped his meatball marinara all down his real madrid top

Why do people not want Smithy back??

He only went to scum because they were the only team who could pay us immediately and we needed the 6million

Leeds should sell gradel and bring in watt gradel for me is not that good he had one good season doesn't make him a world beater he's not exactly set the world alight so far I know we've only played 2 but look at nunez he's flying there's a risk of gradel maybe starting to think he's bigger than the club and better than he really is a bit like beckford so Simon sell him make his mind up before GOD does.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Watt's nowhere near as good as Gradel. He has no composure in the final third - where it matters.

Agree3 Disagree1

Agree that Watt is not a patch on Gradel, he is raw and lacks composure. He could develop but at present is not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree1

Not going to be easy to find a winger who scores over 20 goals a season so why sell?

WE ALL AS LEEDS SUPPORTERS NEED TO BE THE 12TH MAN AND GET BEHIND THE BOYS THIS SEASON AND CHEER THE BOYS ON EVEN IF WERE DOWN, LET'S MAKE THE BOYS BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES AND MAKE THE OPPOSITION TEAM FEAR ELLAND ROAD, BACK THE BOYS AND WE WILL ACHIEVE. {Ed032's Note - good statement

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Fulky agree with the sentiment but the capitals and the mention of a 12th man does bring back memories of Delia Letsehavingya MOT

Been on the official website to purchase tickets for the Bradford game, i didn't have any problems choosing where to sit as the tickets aren't selling to well, loads of empty seats at present, I know it's only the league cup but With it being a Derby game I thought it would be selling well, definitely feel that some quality signings are needed to wet the fans appetites for the coming season.

Just heard that during the Leeds trip to Scotland Gradel & Snodgrass were talking how both had been linked to a move to Newcastle and it emerged that neither of them actually knew who Newcastle United were. The question they were asking was had Newcastle United ever won anything. Can anyone help with an answer to this one? {Ed032's Note - they once won the best team in newcastle award. think it was 1957

If the rumours that Eremenko are on trial are true then there's absolutely.. no, logical, reason.. why we shouldn't sign him up

As for Stockdale, his Twitter activity seems to suggest Leeds could be one of the teams in for him. Would be a great loan signing {Ed032's Note - i think stockdale is coming monday

This is just my opinion, don't know if anyone will agree, but having netted the winner at Motherwell in yesterday's friendly and potentially facing up to six months without Davide Somma, surely Ramon Nunez deserves a run-out in the first-team rather than a THIRD move for Sanchez Watt. Not that I have anything against Watt but for me he didn't really do anything special, just an average squad player at best, where as Nunez is looking real sharp in pre-season, Surely Grayson should forget about going over old ground and give our very own tricky South American star in the making a chance?? Just my opinion {Ed032's Note - i think nunez will be a star this season

Any rumours posted from now on from concerning any Leeds player and what they have apparently stated will be a lie, as Simon Grayson has now banned all the squad from using sites such as Twitter.

Simon Grayson has banned his Leeds United players from tweeting after Davide Somma released news that a cruciate ligament injury would keep him out for five or six months.

Manager Grayson was angry that the South African striker tweeted the outcome of his scan before it had been conveyed to other key people at the club.

The South African international missed United s Scottish tour, which ended with a 2-1 win at Stuart McCall s Motherwell on Saturday.

Grayson said: I am hugely disappointed by the manner in which the outcome of Davide s scan has come out.

It is club policy with any social networks that players are banned from leaking any information. It was confirmed on Saturday morning that he had done his cruciate ligament, which is a massive blow to the club and the player.

It shouldn t have come out in that manner. It should have been left for me to sort out, so from now on all players will be banned from using that sort of network.

It has caused too many problems for other clubs and other players.

We had a strict rule and regulations halfway through last season and I wanted the news about Davide s injury to come out in the right manner.

There are some people who should have known the outcome of the scan before others. If any players break the ban from now on there will be major implications.

We have players capable of stepping in but I am hugely disappointed for the lad because he has worked so hard and scored goals. It was an innocuous challenge in a behind closed doors last Saturday and we feel sorry for him but these things happen. He will come back fit and strong but what sort of time scale nobody knows.

There are so many rumours about snodgrass and gradel, if one of them left who would you rather keep? I'd much rather have gradel over snodgrass. Believeable for gradel, unbelieveable for snodgrass {Ed032's Note - id have snoddy

Believable6 Unbelievable8

I'd keep Gradel.

Wow Exciting development of multi million pound luxury boxes in the east stand it says on official site, who cares. Why the hell couldnt them millions of pounds gone to Grayson getting better players for the club instead of getting other clubs fringe players and bargain bucket players? We don't need more boxes for a few fat cat fans, wot about us true supporters. {Ed032's Note - and why would you spend 7 mill on a ground you supposedly dont own

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Luxury boxes to attract new investors or someone who will take over from old uncle smurf.

I know thi sis a rumours site, but has anyone actually got anything approaching a realistic rumour to share that has even the SLIGHTEST hint of realism or truth about it? We're all LUFC fans, we all want them to sign players - but come on guys, please Muscat (37, past it, never was good enough) Fisher (only just signed for Macclesfield, how do we get him on a free?), Ings (a good signing WHY?) - Gradel out when everything LUFC has said says otherwise. Smith in with Newcastle paying 75% of his wages... Eh? Ridiculous nonsense. {Ed032's Note - keep the faith

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Hopefully we will get a couple of quality signings in this week, I can see either Gradel or Snodgrass being sacrificed to fund them though. {Ed032's Note - stockdale on loan and a signing this week. i'd sell gradel if we get the right money

Eremenko looks quality. A good touch, strong and a set piece specialist. Would love that deal to go through. I think we would then have a really good midfield.

I think we need a new striker now on top of the other positions that need filling. No Somma and Becchio for a while. I would like to see someone different to the striking options that we have already. Someone with pace like Leroy Lita. Ideas and suggestions anyone?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I know it won't happen because we can't afford him, but would like to see Billy Sharpe. {Ed032's Note - knowing bates its more likely to be lee sharpe!

We should do what we always do when we need a striker and have no money.....sign Brian Deane Deano, Deano.

Just my opinion, but i just don't see how we are going to play all these midfielders. I mean we have Howson and Nunez (very attacking) with Alexei Eremenko a possibility. That's 3 attacking midfielders. Then you have Brown and Clayton, and also talks of Greening etc.. and i know rumours will be spread but if these 2 are true. that's 6 central players. Any ideas? :)

Believable0 Unbelievable3

You need cover, Nunez can play as a winger or behind the main striker. At 34 I can't see brown being able to play twice a wk consistently and it will be Claytons first full season.

This is just my opinion but if the rumour about leeds accepting a 3mil bid for Gradel are true then I think lloyd sam can fill his boots with Watt as a good cover option. Just my opinion. Thoughts anyone? :)

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Agreed mate. but think Sam needs to prove himself at this level, could be potentially a great winger/forward for us

Agree0 Disagree1

Sam proved his worth last pre season and the beginning of last season, in the event of snody or gradel going, hes good enough to fill the position

Agree0 Disagree2

Totally agree but 3 mill for a gradle, I would be annoyed as that is not good money for a player who will potentially score more than 15 goals this year Sam is good but to get promoted we need proved, and thats what gradual is

I've seen the Motherwell highlights, but can anyone tell me who's been to the games what Sam, White, Brown, Rachubka and Kisnorbo are looking like? I can see Kisnorbo and Bruce becoming a good pairing if they're both playing well.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Sam looking sharp, same as the start of last season.
Rachubka looks fairly solid.
White showed glimpses going forward but looks a bit suspect at the back.
Kisnorbo quite solid but struggled with motherwell's huge striker at times.
Brown not done anything special, not done anything wrong.

17 Jul 2011 12:30:34
Michael Brown looked horrendous yesterday - who's our real midifeld replacement going to be? (given that a partially dighted relative wouldn't pick Brown) Greening would be good but who else is in the running ed? {Ed045's Note - Grayson has said himself, he hopes for Brown to be the 'missing link' but I think he will be a good player in a full strength squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Meant 'sighted' obviously. agree though - ok squad player

He looked alright yesterday, and you're forgetting it's only his second match. needs to settle in and get to know the team

Brown took a 20k a week pay cut to join leeds so he is getting 10k a week instead of the 30k he was on before......shows Ken is a tight wad.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

If true it shows two things :-

1) KB is being sensible with OUR money - we pay at gates & in shop and Ken is making it work for us Good shrewd business imo.
2) Brown believes he is joining the right club, otherwise why not hold out for more? he had other offers Getting a committed player just what WE want

Again this suggests GOOD BUSINESS

Cardiff 3rd this year, I have a feeling

Agree0 Disagree4

Leicester are buying too many players, they are the Middlesborough of next season, sven won't keep a settled starting 11 and he won't have a job at xmas. West ham, everyones going on about west ham, if they aren't running away with it at xmas, and I can't see it happening as they are loosing most of there big players and will be relying on more youth and frees than us with there debt are being over hyped, they cant panic buy and they cant offer as much as leeds imo. and the cardiff shout, i believe there or there about but 3rd really, sold or lost all there top players, only thing going for them is there manager

If the Eremenko rumour has legs, and the furthering of Nunez and Clayton comes to fruition, where the f*** will Howson get a game?
We may end up in a situation of an embarrassment of riches over the centre of the park, yet still not a solid unit in defence, add to that no Luciano or Somma , another striker should be high on the list of Graysons requirements.

17 Jul 2011 10:16:17
THE stand out player for me at the 'Well game yesterday was RAMON NUNEZ. Him and Max seem to have a bit of an understanding going on, so if they are paired up on a regular basis(fingers, toes, EVERYTHING crossed) Leeds Utd will be RAMPAGING through C'ship defenses this season..On the defensive front(oxymoron) IMHO , I think (L_R) should be White.Bruce, Kisnorbo, Lihaj
Add Stockdale behind, one more DM, one striker to cover us while Becchio and Somma recuperate and we will COAST into the play-offs
In Grayson we trust MOT

Cant understand why we would get rid of kasper and bring in stockdale on loan doesn't make any sense we should be looking for a permanent No.1

Floyd The Barber {Ed032's Note - i'm glad he has gone. i like the sound of maxwell

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I think having stockdale on loan all season would be a great deal was a bit gutted kasper left but something must of happened anyway he is probally a scum fan like his old man stockdale is leeds hope he signs.MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Submitted lots of posts last season stating my view that Nunez was at least as good as Bannon (and others used). if he needed to learn more about english football he could have done it Leeds. It would have been better than what we got instead. You were not the only one to make the point.

Agree1 Disagree0

Keeper situation is difficult, I think kasher going is grayson had eyes on a new no1, a good bid come in and his agent had turned down a new contract, making it good for the club, however the stockade situation has probably come from all new no1 targets being missed and now while we re-scout the market we get a quality keeper on loan, I doubt we will get him perm however as I believe he will be firmly in fulhams future plans, only way it may happen is if his contract is due up in next two years, and he refuses to sign, we get promoted this season and get him on cheap Do you know his contract situation Ed? {Ed032's Note - i'm not sure mate. heard good reports on maxwell tho
