NO NO NO Never ever ever, Harte was sh*t, too slow, we have much better already. He cost us far more games than his one trick poney free kicks ever won us, remember Newcastle? Solado destroyed him and we lost a game we had already in the bag.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will his free-kick ratio be cancelled out by his lack of pace/bad defending?
is close.

i wanted harte just for his free kicks but where could he play. we have an ok choice for left back now

Agree0 Disagree0

I wanted him, but 3 seasons ago when he really could have helped at this level! (we are not playing in teh premiership) Look to bring in younger players now. I still believe White is more than adequate cover.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trouble is football is not just a game where you can wheel him on for set pieces and then take him back off. I agree with earlier replies, he's too slow and would cost us far more than he contributed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was going along happily with these posts when someone suggested White was adequate cover. Have you not seen him play? Too lightweight, little in the way of positional sense has pace but can't use it - can't turn defenders/runs up blind alleys. He has been tried and tried - wide left, wide right left back and he looks completely out of his depth. Players I definitely would keep:- McCormack, Byron (unless we got 8-10 million plus), Warnock, Austin, Varney, Green, Lees, Kenny. Players who might make it: Somma, Morison (he is V. poor at the moment but surely can't be fit yet), Peltier. Players I would let go subject to contract restrictions: Brown, Pearce, White, Norris, Hall, Habibou. Youngsters obviously stay to see how they progress

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with last poster aidan white is quick but a terrible, terrible footballer! its quite embarrassing he's made it thru the academy at our club, we've got a left back for our saturday league team whos 16 and he looks twice the player white is! i'd sell if any one would take if not just release the waste of space

all the talk of Reading players, I'd only take 2. Le Fondre and Pogrebnyak.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only Le Fondre for me out of those two

Mcd needs to pick his main 13. Get rid of all the rest. Buy 2-3 and then use youngsters on bench. Should bring av age down to 24 25

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I really don't know why you didn't apply for the job Ausman?

theres about 6 players that should be moved on and that's it the rest are good enough to push for promotion if we add more pace and flair. I would like to see clayton back at the club I feel he runs the midfield at Huddersfield he's a very good passer of the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

I did apply but as is always the case, I was over qualified and asked for mcd as my assistant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do people harp on about bringing players back, leave clayton where he is, they deserve each other

the season is now over hope we keep our run going because the current squad has to impress the new management team so who do you think will stay who will want to stay and who do you think will go

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Might have escaped your attention but we still have three games to go and both promotion and relegation are STILL possibilities at this point in time?

How is that 'season over'?

Try again next week?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we can still go up mathematicaly and elvis was out side elland road chip shop on tuesday night

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't go down and the only way we can go up is if one of palace, brighton and Leicester lose the rest of their games and we win ours. Does seem fairly unlikely but given palaces current form they look a good shot to drop out and we can contribute to brighton losing theirs by beating them. It's a long shot but if we do our bit and we don't go up we should look very forward to next season and if we do our bit and results go our way then hopfully we win the playoffs but let's not get ahead of ourselves

Agree0 Disagree0

"if one of palace, brighton and Leicester lose the rest of their games and we win ours. "

And exactly why can't that possibly happen at this stage?

I am normally the eternal pessimist on here, but since BMD took over I actually have faith this might just happen.

. might even get a bet on it. lol!

Like you say though, even if it doesn't we are looking better for next season than we have for many years, and that's without even sending a penny.

Not THE elvis? Did you manage to get his autograph? Must be worth a few bob these days?

people going on about strips for away shirt how about blue and yellow stripes then everyone should be happy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thistle hotel style

Agree0 Disagree0

My favorite was the mid to late 70s yellow with a blue and white stripe down the shirt and shorts - my first ever Leeds kit!

LR, Northants

Agree0 Disagree0

My first kit was the admiral down the sleves, can't remember if I had the sock tag things, wore it everywhere!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe I'm showing my age a bit here but I had replica sock tags - number 8 since Allan Clarke was my boyhood hero.

One of my clients has some 'real' signed number 7 Peter Lorimer sock tags, given to him at a game. Annoyingly, he's not even a Leeds fan. I tried to make him feel guilty and give them to me but he wasn't having any of it. {Ed003's Note - you need to improve your creeping skills lol}

Ive seen every home game this season and the main thing that stood out on Tuesday night was confidence throughout the team. As BM has said play without fear. Previously their biggest fear was of making a mistake and getting pilleried by Warnock in the press. Which in turn made the crowd get on their back. Now if they make a mistake we don't mind as much because we can see they are trying and PASSING the ball. what really disappointed me on Tuesday was the crowd. All the people who said i'm staying away because of Bates because of Warnock because of this because of that. well how did we manage to get an AVERAGE of 27,000 crowds in league 1?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because it was a Tuesday and some people actually work those days

Agree0 Disagree0

" All the people who said i'm staying away because of Bates because of Warnock because of this because of that. well how did we manage to get an AVERAGE of 27,000 crowds in league 1?"

Because Bates hadn't sold the best players off and pocketed the money at that point, maybe?

Just wondering all you stat buffs
How many of the top 6 scorers and top 6 assists in championship cost more than $1m? I know worth more now but I believe there are more than capable players out there that are hungry for future success, that won't cost the earth! And I reckon mcd will find them.
Lees sounds like he was scared to play under warnock for fear of public humiliation, bet they are all like that. Still 6-8 out and 3-4 in and we are in business!
Go mcd!

i think we will only see a few of the main squad leave probably and we won't get much money if any.

brown
drury
norris
Rachubka
Kisnorbo
Pugh
Connolly

type of players to come in

1 or 2 centre backs
2 wingers
1 creative midfielder
1 tall striker
1 quick striker

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd keep Norris and Brown will stay. Ditch the rest and thrown in Peltier too.
