Changes i'd like to see before end of tranfer window. First of all we have too much deadwood. Just been looking at squad list.
1: Defence: Sell Bessone (or terminate contract, either or, LMAO) Loan Parker to get match fit for next season. Get shut of Bruce after signing O'Dea and the return of Kisa and young Lees, his days are numbered. We need another left back (Get Lichaj back on loan).
2. Midfield: Urgently need another central midfielder (One of either Clingan, Bullard or Montgomery) Nobody out.
3. Attack: Sell Grella and Paynter (or terminate contract, EITHER OR again LOL) Sign Keogh Paermanantely in Jan. Grayson Looking at Mikael Forsell, but not convinced we need another.
Thomson and Taylor need to go on Loans.

Interesting fact: nine of the players who started against Hull did not start a single Championship game for us last season.
For those who think Grayson is not addresing the defense, the back five that started did not kick a ball in the Championship for Leeds last season (except Kisnorbo for ten minutes at QPR).
Add our best players, Becchio, Gradel, Howson to the group that started against Hull and we can be very competitive in this League.

Could of used Obrian/Bruce thou couldn't he? So he did decided to change it. White may be better in an attacking sence but that's not a bad thing. McCartney was always out of position without the offensive upside yet in Whites only start he didn't get caught out of position and combined well with Snoddy. Lees & White could well be the full backs we needed, with Brown (or any Def Mid) sitting it gives the fullbacks a bit more licence to get forward.
You can't judge the season or look at the table til 8-10 games in so let's not get to suicidal if we lose or excited when we win. A..

Having been a true lufc fan for over 30 yrs, i hope some of the convo and hype on here is actually true, as it is way time that Leeds Utd were a top flight team again, i know every1 is slating ken bates alll the time and at times fully agree, however lets just hope that there is some truth in the likes of forssell and santa cruz coming to leeds as i think it is about time we had some decent out and out strikers who will score wk after wk, as although not a major problem our goals seem to come from all positions within the side, inc defenders, i think we have the making of a very good side at the moment but do think we need more firepower in the middle as we have 2 outstanding wingers in Gradel, and snodgrass, come on leeds please go for the transfer targets we are all talking about and lets try and romp the championship this year and give the fans something back

the santa cruz deal will NOT go ahead despite city offering to pay 72k of his wages. LUFC would still need to pay him 18k which is higher than any of our current playing squad. KB does not want any of the squad to get jealous and start demanding more pay unfortunately it looks like either leicester or birmingham will beat us to him should he drop down a league

Ken Bates won't sell the club cheaply, as "We've got him, like it or not". At least he's been at Leeds for a while and it not in it for a quick buck. A bit aniquated in his ideas though
If we get Santa Cruz on loan we know KB is serious about long term building.
As long as we stick with 4:4:2, and the lads play like like tuesday night all season, we should be alright as we are

Vijay Mallya (According to Wiki) is worth 1.4 Billion US dollars. I doubt he wants us, he appears to have his hands full owning Force India in F1 and teams in the IPL. I remember a couple of seasons ago we were leading a game until the "Bates Out" chants started. Almost immediatly we conceded and dropped points. Bates out chants started Tuesday and within seconds we conceded and could have gone behind. Makes you think

We've been linked this summer with some Pretty decent players all of which we've laughed off, but by far the biggest is Santa cruz and yet there seems to be some real optimism that this deal could actually be pulled off which I find amusing
Let's be realistic wages to much and would still be a first team player at a lot of other premiership clubs.

It seems Celtic are trying to offload Samaras, how about going for him on loan? Can't really score much but is great at holding the ball up, might be able to do a job for a season in the Championship, also John Fleck might be worth a shout as an attacking option too...

forest have just tabled 4 million for beckford, they already have to many strikers and tonight proved leicesters signings are poor. Do we have the money to get him?
